Edge On Up Bess PT50B Sharpness Tester

- Just playing around doing some testing using my EdgeOnUp sharpness tester. Knife was sharpened up to 8k Shapton and then stropped on cased horsehide loaded with 1mic diamond and lastly stropped on bare cowhide that was cased.

Hey thanks leech. Shapton pro 1K, 2K, 5K, 8k and then stropped on horsehide loaded with 1mic mono diamond spray and finished on bare cowhide, I cased the leather to make them firmer. Took a bit of finessing on the bare leather strop to get the number really low but bare leather especially good firm leather does such a good job of removing even the finest burrs. I would really like to get one of the Bess testers but the ordering process for international is kinda weird :`D
I would contact EdgeOnUp and see if anyone in EU carries/sells them.
You can get it on knivesandtools store they even ship most things from Germany I buy almost everything from there and it always comes from Germany even tho they are spread on many European countries

Yeah man, doing just fine thanks for asking (hope you and your family are good also). I ran it down my leg yesterday without touching my skin and just topped hairs as it went so it's pretty sharp. :-)
Just insane mate. I havent tested my edges since i dont have a bess but im no where near that mate. Im more towards edge rerention and durability than pure sharpness hehe
Thanks man. Down the road if you ever get a chance pick one up, really fun to play with. Yeah this is more for chopping greens / veggies and whatnot, not super durable lol.
