I do enjoy the dark pages and may try it in the future. I will have to try the book of the year showdown next year because I already have my journal set up...lol. I added some new spreads for my yearly and monthly. I am going to track how many minutes/pages I read daily. That way I can see why I may have slowed down in a month, week, or day so I can figure out how to balance in more time or less time if necessary. I am also keeping track of books that are parts of a series, some I didn't know were series. I have a bookcase spread devoted to books of series I am in the middle of and ones I haven't started yet.
Last year I started by tracking pages and such but I now use the Bookly app to track that stuff and have been trying to reduce how much I actually have to journal each month. I hope your reading goes well for you!
Its so beautiful! I loved the spread for book of the year ❤️ and the whole process of comparing monthly favorites to find the books of the year seems so interesting 😊 I'm also going to participate in 52 books club challenge, excited to see what book you select for each prompt. ✨
Omg I love this, I'm going to sub to you since your stuff seems really down my street! I loveee the notebook therapy journals, I've never owned one but I'd love one. I thought yours was from there at first! I'll take your advice not to get a black one though! I'm tempted by the Kraft paper ones!!
Thank you so much! I would definitely say that having a play with some black pages is something everyone should try at least once as you might find you love it! I want to do some kraft paper things for a few spreads in my main journal next year 😊 Good luck!
I want to do a blackout reading journal next year and I really want to use gelly rolls and I think the black and white will be great but I usually write with a fountain pen and am worried I won't want to use it with a different type of pen. I use blackout mode on all my devices except my ereader it doesn't have that mode yet. Im just kind of worried like do I just buy the notebook and some gelly rolls and like that white posca and fill everything in? I have a black and white thermal printer so I'm pretty excited to see how it looks on black pages. Any advice for first time users I only use a gelly rolls for highlights not writing so far. I also have a hand injury that acts up when I write and that's why I use a fountain pen.
Hi I'm so sorry for the late reply! My suggestion would be to buy a black paged notebook and gelly rolls or gel pens if you can and do some practice spreads. I found that I loved the black pages for some things but when it came to the monthly spreads and themes I missed the white pages and did have a slight regret with an all black journal. I think if I'd had a little practise book first, I may not have chosen the black pages but it may work really well for you! I hope this helps?
@@chrissiegerber8939 I've had a look and it sounds good so I've added it to my list! Though I do want to do the Hazel Wood first as it's been on my shelf for about 2 years now 😣
@@KayBethBookish I read The Hazel Wood in 2021 (feels weird to say). I need to read the sequel and I'm waiting for my Tales of the Hinterland copy. If you love Grimm fairy tales, you will enjoy the first book. 🤩
@@KayBethBookish most of the gelly roll pens work, I use alot of acrylographs and paint pens, the new archer and olive gel pens work well, and of course you can get like water based paint and put it in a fillable brush pen when I get up tomorrow I will see if there are any I missed cause I feel like I did and I have done some swatches so if you need to you can message me on ig to see swatches
Thank you for your honest review of the black pages.
The Booktube birthdays spread is the CUTEST most thoughtful thing I’ve ever seen 🥺😭😍
Thank you! I never remember birthdays so I really want to try to send my bookish friends a little something if I can this year!
I thought your designs for the spreads were lovely. The metallic against the black fits with the celestial theme!
Thank you! I'm slowly beginning to like the black pages but it's definitely an experience I'm not in a hurry to repeat 😅
The showdown idea is so funny lol
Haha I'm glad you liked it! I am about to film my showdown video very soon, so keep watch to see my 2021 top pick!
Beautiful journal! Thanks for the wonderful ideas!!🤗
Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it!
Oh Beat the Backlist... I need that. So many books waiting to be read... Thank you.
Wow this is amazing!
Thank you! ❤️
Mistakes are easily coverd with black pen/markers 🥰 Sorry you had a bad experience! Your designs were super pretty!!!
Cool journal setup!
I love how this looks and love the idea of the Showdown! I might need to add that to my journal if that’s alright 😃
Absolutely! I got the idea from Instagram so I definitely don't mind! And thank you for your support! ❤️

Ah thank you! I may do a video of recommendations for both reading challenges, not sure yet! But I have got a list of books to help me choose!
@@KayBethBookish its my pleasure ❤ yes, I would love to have some book recommendations, please do it if you can find some time to record this video. 😊

I don't think your journal looks messy. You did a nice job.
Thank you 😊

Nalini Singh series 😍😍😍😍 I'm a bit behind, but I plan to catch up in 2022 ☺☺
I started both in around 2012 and have been obsessed ever since! She's my go to comfort read author 😊
@@KayBethBookish I don't remember when I started tbh, but I keep revisiting all her series regularly, especially on reading slumps ☺
I do realise this is a weird question, but do you know how many pages are in the bullet journal ?? I always feel like mine is too little
I think this one is 160 😊
@@KayBethBookish oh ok thanks 🤍
A June release to look at. ☺
"Our Crooked Hearts by Melissa Albert"
oooo, I shall take a look!
