If anyone can do it and do it right it's you. You strive for perfection and that came out great.

wyattoneable Thank you sir! It's far from perfect. However, for my first time and on such a challenging shape, I can live with it. Interestingly, it looks better in person then it does on video. The flaws don't stand out as much.

That is one sharp looking MODIS. You certainly have a lot of patients my friend. Cheers .

Looks awesome! I like the color! I might just have to do that to my old Modis!

Thanks Thomas! I might do my Vantage Pro as well. I'm probably going to sell it and that might help the resale value.

Baxrok2 The day after you sell the vantage... the modis will stop working. It's good to have backup tools. Best part is... when you have both, you can scope 6 items at the same time! I'm up to 14 items that i can scope at the same time, using 5 tools. =)

Thomas EXOVCDS Oh, you do have a point there! You could do a cam crank correlation between two vehicles at the same time to evaluate how closely they are in sync. Sounds like an entry into our next various bits video. Go for it Thomas!

    Looks pretty sharp to me!
If you were going to do another wrap job, what would you do differently? And which vinyl material would you use instead? Asking because you've got me thinking about wrapping my Ultra.

Thanks Tyler and good to hear from you! This isn't easy to answer so forgive the length of my reply.
Honestly, I wouldn't do anything differently because this was the only color and texture vinyl that I really liked. I'm glad that I chose it and struggled through the wrapping. I have a lot of patience so the fact that I had to do it several times to get it to where I could live with it wasn't too bad. If you don't have patience this stuff can frustrate you in a hurry. lol If you want the premium colors/finishes then they are just going to be thicker/stiffer. I think the matte finish was the way to go for fingerprint/dirt resistance. Time will tell on that. The glossy more basic vinyls will show everything. Think of any glossy black thing you've ever owned! I also think the matte was the way to go to reduce glare. That damn screen is bad enough so the matte tones it down a bit for me. Finally, I like the idea that this vinyl wrap is thicker since that may mean more abrasion/ding resistance.
So, I like what I chose, I just didn't think it would be as challenging as it was. I thought I could do it the first time but as you saw I was wrong so keep that in mind. I ended up wrapping it in two pieces because one piece just wasn't working. I learned that there are limits to what you can do with this stuff and honestly the MODIS is a very challenging item to wrap in that it has raised areas, weird details, crevices, flats, bends, openings, and curves! The ultra should be a breeze by comparison. You may consider some practice runs on a laptop or something similarly shaped to the Ultra to get a feel for how your vinyl lays down and how it reacts to the heat gun. Go for it and let me know how it turns out!

FYI, today I took a piece of the vinyl and smeared some oil/grease on it. I wiped it off and it did indeed change the sheen a bit. Then I hit it with a mild degreaser spray and it cleaned up really well! Hopefully, this speaks a bit to how it will hold up over time.

Where can you get that wrap?

I got mine at a local wrap shop. I'm sure you can get it online as well. The brand is Arlon. Thanks!

Here is what I believe the product number to be. From Amazon: Arlon Ultimate PremiumPlus BRUSHED RED ALUMINUM Vinyl Car Wrap Film CWC-619BR (I bought this from a local shop so verify the color by obtaining a sample if you have doubts or want to be sure.)
