Do you have videos on net making. I run nets in the Ohio, all of my net makers have passed on. I been tinkerin with patches from watching your videos. Learning alot watching your videos, thank you for showing us a dying art.

Good hearing from you and your interest in the videos. I'm working on tying in new throats in one now. I'll do a little video on this one. That's the hardest part. You make several people that's showed interest in a full net making video. What I can do is build a net in a series of videos possibly

I have a few throats messed up on mine. Definitely a tricky spot. Mine aren't pretty but they held fish last fall 😂

Well now, that's what it's for, lol. Not sure my way is necessarily the right way, but it's a way that will hold once I dip those spots. I've seen some bad patch jobs though 🤣🤣🤣

I think your videos are very clear and very Self explanatory I'm a Net builder myself I have made nets with Just a loop and catching both of mesh now I don't do that and don't have to worry about netting coming undone and don't have To pull as tight I'm just curious have you ever tried a sheep's bin and then put your locking knot on you make your loop come around the back side. To catch the 2. But don't catch the 2 just catch one bring it down and then throw another loop and then come in behind both of them. ?

That ought to hold them whisker fish! Definitely have to be ready to see nets because they’re always getting snagged on stuff in those rivers. Great tutorial!

    Nice fish.
When are you going to try out your new wire fish trap made with the cattle panels and bigger mesh?
    Looks like fun.
I know that's some good eats.

Soon, very soon. I've had to work the full last month without a day off. We prerecorded enough content to carry us though this period, but I'll be back to normal fishing soon!!

Your mighty brave sticking them fingers that close to burning nylon. When I was a young’en I invented break dancing when I got a splash of hot nylon. Just couldn’t get away from it till it cooled. Lol. Love your videos, keep up the good work !

Have you ever used a double sheepshead , passing the loom thru the loop twice, as your start and end, rather than the box knot and burning? I saw a video on it. Wasn't sure how well it would hold vs this way.

@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 it's the same as your regular net knot , but you pass the needle thru the loop twice, rather than just once. I've been trying a few as I repair my nets this spring. They seem strong, but kinda bulky.

I got a bad habit of cutting videos short while editing to please the Algorithms and not run past viewers tension span, but I'm making some changes in 2023. I'm steering towards being more informative for the viewers that actually want to watch or need to know how to do things.
