I know right! 2 yrs I've stayed away from the witcher games to make my 10th playthrough on this upgrade version and more excited about this upgrade than anything else!
Nice to see I wasn’t the only one excited about the new armors. Especially the one you referred to as reminding you of griffin. Looking forward to using that on the new play through.
I can tell you guys from personal experience after multiple heavily modded play throughs. The camera mod they added is an absolute game changer and my favorite mod ever. If you set it up correctly it’s a complete game changer. Combat feels much more fluid and realistic and immersion is kicked up 10 notches.
@@chronical I never understood what was wrong with the combat? It's different, but I wish that other games had the same combat as I can dodge whenever and I'm not trapped in an animation. I've beaten the game several times on DeathMarch! and I'm not a spammer of Quen, tho I will use it when I'm greatly outnumbered.
I believe the Nilfgarrdian armor was called the “ball sack armor” back than and yes, the armor is so bad, but it’s kinda badly great that we’re getting it because someone can make a walkthrough and call it the “You can’t take Nilfgarrd seriously walkthrough.” Also, I wonder if they’re willing to add future Witcher Netflix content, even if not it’s really awesome that they’re hooking us up with more free content; CDPR as far as I’ve experienced is the man when it comes to DLC, choosing not to leech you dry.
Hopefully they stay away from the train wreck content of 'The Netflixer'...race swapping and focus changing is stupid stuff to do a great story and great characters...
I love the new camera. I've always felt the camera was a bit too far away for my liking during exploration. So much respect to CDPR for having all this content in a free patch.
I loved the camera handling in God of war. It made you feel like someone with a camcorder following Kratos and recording his actions. Something similar in Witcher would be great.
One thing I’ve always wanted was to be able to change the appearance of an armor without changing the actual armor. And to be able to upgrade a specific armor to your level. And upgrading it will change its appearance, slowly becoming grandmaster.
@@itsme-mj9ic it’s a cool feature lets you use your armour sets or even mix and match while keeping stats bonuses , I know the Witcher gives you bonuses for wearing a full set so it be especially good in this game
For the most part the series should be its own thing, they created such great looking characters for Yen and Triss, difficult to re create with real world women, taking that a way would be a mistake.
I'm excited for this. Will be a good reason to replay the game after a few years of absence. The new controls for signs seems pretty interesting, should play well with a controller.
The Netflix stuff won't see the light of day on my pc. I might take a look at the swords if they fall into my lap. Infact it might be cool if the names for them are some kind or wordplay, which CDPR is fond of. I'd suggest The Swords of Henri de Savill.
I always reply the Witcher 3 every few years and I recently finished my last full play though but I’ll definitely have to give it another go when the update drop’s. The new combat camera mode looks amazing can’t wait to try it out as well.
Quick casting was a game changer. Quen, aard, igni, aard, quen, aard, axii, quen igni… no break to momentum or in game menus to bother with. Like a real Witcher.
I would love the option to start a fresh ng+ without going through a playthrough again. Just because I think having a full playthrough with the endgame mutagens would be way better than just having them at the end. I would even pay extra for it
Just finished hearts of stone and ready to complete blood and wine on a fresh start playthrough. Gonna wait for the update to play ng+ with all the new content, can't wait!
glad the video is back up! The new dragon armor reminds me of eastern style fantasy samurai armors - maybe an easter egg regarding new Witcher manga "The Witcher: Ronin"?
At this point people have used the new sign system and like or don't, but I knew I would love it as a FFXIV console players, you HAVE to use a system just like that in order to get as many of your abilities on your controller as possible. In fact, you can do the same thing with the directional buttons in FFXIV. As a DRG main, I had my entire rotation shortcutted into these buttons in this fashion. It is incredible what developers can do with the console controllers when they think outside the box.
That dragon set of armour looks fucking rad and I'm all about it. I'd say adding the Netflix armour was the devs way of having a laugh with their audience.

@@shannonsteven3982 It’s Chinese armor called mountain pattern armor. It was never used in Europe and it doesn’t belong in the setting. They only added it for China pandering, but I guess everybody loves China now, or it’s ok when cdpr does it. I’m only stating the facts. You can probably expect more China pandering now that they are kowtowing to epic, but whatever, they already lost their souls a while ago with cyberpunk.
I hated the original quick switch on signs it makes you take your thumb off the movement stick... Died so many times in that split second.. I'm liking the new idea
Thank god fall damage is being tweaked. It was never really a major issue it was just jarring that a badass monster slayer somehow can’t handle falling 10 ft.
Do you happen to know if they fixed the Hunters Instinct perk? Last I knew it was bugged & didn't work at all. I usually run an alchemy build & I really wanna try it.
hope for new weapons, new skins for horses, new consumables, repeating events and qests, add just a little bit of everything and its a new game. Also would love medieval armor for Geralt with helmet optional
Purchased Witcher 3: Wild hunt and xpacs some time back on sale...I've actually never installed it nor played it, just bought it as I wanted to give CD Proj some love. Turns out, I am one lucky son-of-a-bitch and will wait until December to try this gamer out for the first time. Played the first Witcher for a bit when it first came out.
So as I previously wrote, I will use all Netflix alternative looks, including the Nilfgaardian armour, just to make things different for at least some time. It's a shame that the new Jaskier look doesn't include a new face and is literally the same guy with new haircut, no beard and new clothes, but maybe that's just it - a new look of the same person, which is actually alright with me.

My theory on these two new sets is that these are in fact armors you were able to get in the previous witcher games. Because the colors of the first one match in some way seltkirks armor but it looks more like the armor you are able to craft at the end of witcher 2. And for the other armor there can be two possibilities aswell, the first is that this is ravens armor from witcher 1 and the other is that this is the armor you get from detmold before going into the mist, because in my playtrough I was able to complete the game without any need to craft any other armor. What speaks for the first possibility is the fact that ravens armor was to be told to be legendary just to be thrown away in witcher 2, and (even though some may argue) it looks adequate to my imagination of that armor in witcher 3. What speaks for the other is the color palet of the chest part which was black and white in witcher 2 aswell.
isn't the manticore armor inspired by the raven armor, I always thought just like the baughest and echinopes( I think I spelled that wrong) from witcher 1 that was added, manticore tributes the raven armor.
@@ToVoMo The first version of the manticore armor is literally the armor geralt wears throughout the entirety of witcher one, the one i think you might be referring to is the chainmail version he has after you start a ng+ which is very cool but not the same as raven armor. For me it just lacks something to be like it.
I really wish you could keep your gwent cards in NG+ or at the very least all the dlc cards/ Skeliga deck, u get those cards at end of game and can’t fully enjoy it in new play throughs which kinda sucks
In all honesty they should cut all the ties with Netflix as their Witcher - like product is pretty much in the same league as Amazon's Rings of power. To fuck up a story like this you really have to be "talented"!
Don't know if it's optional, but you could always just cut your whole mod folder out and keep 'em all tidy till you figure out how to get the older versions :)
The Sign rework is basically the same system as what FF7 remake or Dragon Age Inquisition have. It does work but is a no-brainer system, it should have been in W3 from day one. Also, shouldn't the DualSense feature be available on PC too while using a DS?
Also the sign switching mid battle on consoles sucks. Tedious, emersion killing machanic. I just stuck with one sign for most battles it's so bad. Looking forward to that update for sure.
The only thing I care about are the bugs fixed. Rain falling the the roof of the houses. People and monsters walking on the air. Killing a monster and the monster slide for a while. The game crashing some times. Physics need fixing, the horse getting stuck on the bridges. Sometimes drowners and nekers when they go underground they stay stuck underground. And many more.
At this point, I'd go for a fresh save. If it's been years since you picked it up, chances are you won't be able to get back into the game as much as you were before.

I’m really hoping the biggest bug I encountered was the Witcher School quests, some just didn’t work at all and I couldn’t get the armor

Dandelion's Netflix outfit would look better if they changed his body model to something more slim, he's built like Geralt so it looks ridiculous.

Don't know if it's optional, but you could always just cut your whole mod folder out and keep 'em all tidy till you figure out how to get the older versions :)
Many modders are sure to update their mods, but that will of course take some time
