  • We all know that R D Burman was a rhythm wizard. But who could have thought that he would use the rhythm patterns to underline the character and the mood of a song? Check how a rhythm pattern made us swing with the character, without us even noticing that the rhythm was subtly playing the emotions of the visual.

Just show me any other music director apart from RAHUL DEV BURMAN who made his presence in this four point mentioned below.
    1. Kishore Kumar who was not a trained classical singer with him he recorded "mere Naina sawan bhado" based on raag shivranjani, then " jane Kya soch kar nahi gujra", don't forget that time it was single take not like today that you can sing a single word.
    2. Made song in each & every possible way in music possible.
    3. Out side musical instruments produce music with cold drink bottle, polish paper and other thing
    4. Introduce many musical instruments in our music likes flenzer, paddle matka.
I challenge just show me another music director that's include regional music director who matched all this 4 points I will agree pancham is not unique, but with prove please.🙏

@Sunny Same here what you have said. RD'S songs are a treasure.
When Teesri Manzil released, Sammi Kapoor was very big star n as a primary school student i went to watch the movie in small town paying just 15 paise for gallery gandhi class ticket. When film started Pancham's background music took off and the first duet track took us to dizzy heights and through out movie we were enjoying and freaking out on Songs. The revolutionary music director born n from then on our journey with RD Burman began. He was ahead of his time. Collaboration with Kishoreda Ashaji was awsome.
Tessri Manzil , pyar ka mausam Padosan, Amar prem, Kati patang ,gulzar films , HKSKN, Sholay satte pe satta just to name few never got film fare best music composer award then and we were very Angry.
Hail Pancham 🙏 the wizard genius.

Throw some light on how he copied Mehbooba song.😉

    • @PanchaMtantraDecodingRDBurman
      @PanchaMtantraDecodingRDBurman  Рік тому

Sure bhai. Mehbooba Mehbooba was inspired from the Demi Roussos song Say You. You can find it here - ua-cam.com/video/4UJXgmPqAE4/v-deo.html
Now let me educate you a bit more 😉...Demi himself copied it from Michalis Violaris' Ta Rialia. You can enjoy Demi's original creativity here - ua-cam.com/video/bkYEAiOjxvU/v-deo.html
Here is some more for you. 😉 Michalis Violaris in turn was singing a traditional Cyprus Folk tune.
And now one more - We know Demi because of Mehbooba. But the Firangs today enjoy R D Burman more. It is only Foreign Indians (am sure you are not one of them) who love to run him down. You can listen to some foreign bands actually realising the value of MEHBOOBA...something many Indians did not see...Check here - ua-cam.com/video/bnh7pCWGK-M/v-deo.html
      And here - ua-cam.com/video/-0uaI1cID9Y/v-deo.html
      And here - ua-cam.com/video/vtSbroSS4-0/v-deo.html
Some more stuff for you to think about - COPY is the first step of Inspiration. There can never be Inspiration without first copying something which you feel like getting inspired from. Violaris sang a folk tune. Demi tried to create something...but it took Panchamda's vision to listen to Demi and IMAGINE what can be done with it. The world's progress is because of people who took something that was already there and made it better. People like R D Burman.
What IS is a copy...what CAN BE is Inspiration. The journey between these two is R D BURMAN.
I do not feel many of your thinking will accept what I said...but then...I leave it at that. Enjoy the "original" Demi Roussos. Let us enjoy our "copycat" Panchamda...who took Demi's thought ahead. Take care.
