After the critical and popular success of the acclaimed, award-winning film on RD Burman, Pancham Unmixed: Mujhe Chalte Jana Hai, its filmmaker, Brahmanand S Siingh now brings to us another
invaluable gift featuring Panchamda’s life and works.
On the occasion of RD Burman's 79th birth anniversary (June 27th) and the completion of 10 glorious years of Pancham Unmixed: Mujhe Chalte Jaana Hai, Mobius Films is launching “THE PANCHAM LEGACY ”, a series of conversations, discussions and dramatisations about the legacy that Pancham Da has left. The series is to be launched very soon as a Web series.
In its 10 years of astounding run, Pancham Unmixed: Mujhe Chalte Jana Hai, showcased in over 40 International Film Festivals, theatrical shows, satellite channels, both Indian and International, and has become, much like a lot of RD’s music, one of the most loved films of all times. A few years back, Indian Express rated it as one of the ten most prestigious and favorite music-related films one can possibly have in his/her collection. Along with it, Brahmanand S Siingh’s Knowing Pancham , a 5.5 hrs of treasure trove of Pancham’s life and music, coffee table books like Strings of Eternity & Diamonds & Rust, all these have been a delight for any Pancham lover, music composers, singers, musicians, and people who love cinema, literature, music and life.
Now, Brahmanand S Siingh and his team at Mobius bring to us a powerhouse series, The Pancham Legacy, which unveils the ever-growing Pancham mystique. Featuring many who worked with him, along with many Pancham fans and scholars, alongside the finest minds from diverse fields, The Pancham Legacy series will keep on uncovering the huge legacy that RD Burman has left behind.
The series will keep on exploring stories, anecdotes, reflections, insights and ideas around Panchamda’s creations by understanding, interpreting and reinterpreting RD’s creations in a way that it creates a Meta-Pancham Awareness and takes us beyond Pancham and helps us benefit not just in our musical understanding of his creations but in all walks of life ... creativity, leadership, innovation, lateral thinking, productivity, quality management, man management, emotional intelligence, secrets of excellence and much more, generating newer perspectives, deeper insights and effervescent inspirations in a special and unique way!
