      So the Yankees using a guy with binoculars and a flashlight in the middle part of last century is somehow OK or not as bad? The Yankees won quite a few championships in those years. The year Bobby Thompson hit his shot heard ‘round the world the New York baseball Giants used a guy in a nearby building with a telescope and a buzzer leading to the Giants dugout. That’s not as bad? What about Tony La Russa installing a camera with a feed that led to his office along with a toggle switch that led to lights on a scoreboard in order to tip White Sox batters off as to which pitch was coming? What the Astros did was wrong, but it was hardly unprecedented. Teams have been using external means to steal signs for almost as long as the game has been around…

      Bang that can!!!! We all know the time it takes to relay a sign then signal with a trash can the pitch has already been thrown ! Besides the pitchers change signs constantly!!! Sometimes just for certain batters so it's much harder to steal a sign than an average 🤡 thinks it is .Ask any MLB pitcher.

    • @houstonsportsfan242
      @houstonsportsfan242  Рік тому +1

      I believe he was fooled on the 5th and 6th pitch but anyway the second to last pitch he was sitting fastball the way and got slider which proves he didn't cheat that's why he shanked the foul ball left because when you when you swing on fastball and you get slider it shanks. Watch the six pitch carefully one more time. The reason I'm answering this and so much more detail to you is because I've gotten so many comments of complete stupidity that don't know how to watch pitches and also there was a man on second and if there's a man on second it's completely easier to pass the signs along with George Springer than with a trash can so that's not even possible in a playoff game with coded signs and I haven't watched my video in a while but don't they even change signs during the at bat and you wouldn't even hear the trash can anyway anyway it's a long long story but that at bat is completely real

    • @houstonsportsfan242
      @houstonsportsfan242  Рік тому

      By the way he's a fastball hitter and he really was looking for a fastball the whole time. if you look at the at bat it was six Sliders and a fastball and as soon as he got a fastball he rocked it out of there. the seventh pitch once again was the only fastball. Basically Maedas slider wasn't getting the job donr so he forced maeda to throw a fastball

    3:10 I'm going to argue that it wasn't a bad pitch (for Altuve) because he's known for making very solid contact on pitches just outside the zone on 2 strike counts. Maeda threw a pitch that he KNEW Altuve couldn't drive on a 2-2 count where he has a ball to give. On top of that, pressure works both ways in a scenario like this, Altuve could have lost his composure and chased a bad pitch trying to do too much. You needed to be a top tier pitcher to get Altuve out in 2017. Maeda (nor any other pitcher in the Dodgers pen) did not have the stuff to silence his bat when it mattered. This game was always going to come down to which team had the more explosive offense. To this day, this is still the greatest baseball game I've ever seen in my life.

      Hi David, I love your comment by the way and thanks for watching my video. Yes, that at-bat by Mookie was great but it wasn't in the World Series. Without this at-bat, we would have lost the World Series. It's the situation that makes this great. Just my humble opinion.

      Hello!! It's possible. Intelligence also plays an important role in addition to skills. There is no doubt that a player who has been champion bat 3 times and in his best moment, has all chances for hitting the ball. what you have to ask yourself is where does he get the strength to hit homeruns so frequently being short player without much muscle. I have observed that he moves the bat very fast. more speed than strength
