After the heartbreaks of the 80 and 86 NLCS and the early exits of the Killer B era, the last 6 years of 4 pennants and 2 World Series titles has been the golden age of Astros baseball!
LOL…Yes sir. That’s why the juice box has become the Mariners house of horror. And that was further cemented by the improbable but not surprising Yordan walkoff in game 1 of the ALDS. 😂😂😂
History repeats itself 2005 NLDS: Chris Burke hits a home run in the 18th inning to send Astros to NLCS 2022 ALDS: Jeremy Peña hits a home run in the 18th inning to send Astros to ALCS
Yeah, that was the first baseball game I ever went to, I was 3 or 4 years old. Funny enough the only play I remember was a Lance Berkman home run to the train tracks
I was in high school at the time. I went with a pretty large group of people to that game, and we had bought tickets a week or so in advance in anticipation of the Biggio's 3000th. Going into the game that day I think he need 4 hits to get to 1000 and ended up going 5-6 or something like that. The grand slam too like you mentioned. Man, what a game. One of, if not the best, I've ever been too.
5:39 I went to this game. It was 90s night so they had the 90s jerseys and the 90s scoreboard. So much fun. I’ve been to almost 15 games, this one is still the only one where the Astros walked it off. Will never forget that night.
Yea I remember watching that one live on TV. I was in this cabin in this place called Wimberly. My entire family was there so we all went crazy when Yuli hit that home run to win it.
Absolutely great moments, especially when the opponent misses a throw or a catch. Those are the ones you really want to remember. And then Yordan against Seattle in the ALCS in a game the Astros, admittedly, should have lost, that was pure legend!
Minute Maid Park is one of the most underrated ballparks in MLB! That place must be around till at least the year 2100!! Unbelievable place and an Unbelievable Atmosphere! It’s like attending a big party especially in the Postseason!
It’s a home run! The crowd goes wild! They’re going nuts in Houston,I like to thank (thank) all (all) the little (little) people (people) but especially (especially) Myself!
You guys did good, but you missed a good one. I was there live in the ballpark when Brian Bogusevic hit a walk off grand slam vs Carlos Marmol and the Chicago Cubs
My favorites were the Bogusevic grand slam and Pence hitting a walk off single against Kenley. I remember the commentary exactly: LINE DRIVE….. OVER FURCAL!!
any chance you have a clip of gregg zaun's 6/27/2002 walk off grand slam against the defending champs d-backs? I cant find it anywhere but distinctly remember that game
Bagwell and Biggio honestly had no big walk offs. I did all my digging trying to find one but I couldn’t find any. Any footage of Cruz is hard to find.
I saw somebody talk about the ultimate grand slam When you're down 3 runs. NO. The ultimate grand slam is if/when you hit one in the bottom of the 9th inning with a full count 2 out with the bases loaded in Game 7 of a freaking World Series. NO ONE Has ever done that. It’s so cool how when Biggio hit his 3,000th career hit, that same game Carlos Lee hit a walk off grand slam
