Do we make a video on how to sneak beer into festivals? 😅
How to sneak festivals into beer
The rum pocket worked extremely well even when I was searched
Yes. or how to sneak cheap cold water into festivals. Hint: it involves a camelbak water pack or two and a bra.
👏breast👏milk👏bags👏
Yes please!
Went in 2016, never again. Took nearly 40 mins to walk to the arena from camp - give me Bloodstock over that anyday. The weather that year didn't exactly help either.
I paid £300 early bird for 5day camping and saw 33 bands over that time so about £8 per band... Can get concert tickets for that price. Took my own snacks and sealed soft drinks. Snuck in some alcohol. Spent £300 extra over all 5 days on meals/drinks and merch. I honestly think thats not bad pricing
Ended up having to get camping plus due to getting tickets late (£450), smuggled a load of drink in for the first 3 days), spent £175 on more food and drink across those 5 days (this includes at coop), £70 on merch (tshirt and a hoodie) and saw also about 30 bands + Little Dan very briefly after carcase, who was looking a bit lost and not very happy.
I however was enjoying myself big time and burning to a crisp 😂100% worth the money in my eyes. wish i was still there. Bloddstock next!!
It was my first time attending Download this year too, I did the full 5 day camping and "Donington Park Walking Festival" sums it up perfectly.
Unto Others are fucking brilliant 🤘😝🤘
As a Yorkshireman I must ask this - Was the medical tent a 50/50 split of people suffering from the heat and Yorkshire folk being told the beer prices upon ordering?
£13 for some meatballs and fries😮 in a small tray??? Think big Dan had the right idea.
Waited about 10 more minutes in that queue for water and my piss has more water pressure than those taps
I have to say I love the sunglasses you were wearing!
@@demigores Thank you
Security ranged from full bag searches, checking under hats and body pat-downs to being waved through with no checks when entering the arena. We got to site Wednesday and walked through security to the campsite with no bag checks at all.
Was saturday afternoon when they started knuckling down. Me and me other half was taking loads of drink in from the thursday to saturday morning. left to go back to the tent saturday afternon to cool down a bit, and when returning for disturbed, and security seemed to be completely different and nasty. Luckily wasnt carrying anything that time though, or on the sunday. They suddenly because brutal!
Their security is weird. 2019 they opened my makeup bag and took the caps off my eyeliner pens.
@@starlettdragon Taking the cap off seems a bit extreme. Saw a lot of people having to take their caps off though and one person's tobacco pouch being checked.
Come to Hammerdown Festival! We'll offer some cheeky press passes. I emailed you ⚒️
Metal fans deserve much better than the poor effort that was this festival. Basically no extra activities or whatever outside the carnival, the worst lineup in download history on its 20th anniversary, stretched out to 4/5 days without any extra acts, the sound at the main stage was awful and travel was a complete farce on Thursday. Feel sorry for the regular goers who Download seems to mean so much to. Andy Copping/John Probyn should leave next years organisation to someone with some new ideas. rip download.
I sound like an old bore.. but it will never surpass the times it was on the track infield... those were brilliant festivals 1 main stage 1 Tent stage about 10 mins walk between the 2... and about 5 mins from camp village to arena.. And the snickers bowl of course 🤣🤣
Its a shame unto others pulled out of boa but they were great at the carcass gig. Plus carcass were selling tees for 20 quid at their gig, pure old skool prices.
what is that very first band on the video? pleaseeeee!! :)))
Unto Others
@@HME thank you!
Who was the first band ?
Unto others 😎
Never been patted down at Bloodstock, maybe I've just got an innocent looking face 😅
I didn't see anyone get patted down at either festival.
£35 is reasonable for a shirt...
Till you go to the Roadmender to see Carcass and Unto Others and the shirts are still going for only £20.
It was a great show at the Roadmender. Was so tempted to buy one of the Carcass dinner sets too. ~Big Dan
I went to the First Download.. then every year for the next 6 years . then knocked it on the head as it got more expensive. the camp sites got further away. and the shithouse more and more minging.. Plus the headliners just became a merry go round of about 4 bands .. line up padded out with shite bands..Also why can't they be bothered to put some sideless marqees up randomly . so folk can shelter from Sun or rain.. wouldn't cost the earth..
After big Dan's reaction to wearing a hat (in the last mid month metal) I suggest a Hat Tier List. From how metal the headwear can look to practicality.
Could be rather splendid.
As an old git I remember Monsters of Rock. This is a travesty in comparison. 13 quid for a tray of chips? F..k right off!
Was £17 for a ticket + camping at the monster of rock, back in the day 🤘
@@jayh5780 good times.
I didn't go this year but last year security on the gate was on par with Bloodstock security for Friday and Saturday but Sunday was insane with much tighter security (which is what I expected from Download as they have been pretty strict in the past).
I won't say what I carry in or where but at Download last year I did a "dry run" (to see where i was searched and how) then went back to my tent, got my drinks and went back in.
I would've gone to Download had the lineup been better but Download has always been a festival I need to examine the lineup for. Bloodstock is always awesome and i'll happily hand my money over for a ticket without knowing who'll be there.
Will you be at Bloodstock this year? I've seen you there a few times but i've never actually said hello so this year i'll try.
Cheers for the information Dan, about download…. I really appreciate it.
The world is being slowly plunged into a depression but gene somehow gets richer, Intresting.
Download sucks.......😂
RIP next year!🫶
Metal 4 ever!!!...congratulations.
Bloodstock this year brother?
Most likely 👀
Going to Bloodstock this year ?
Little Dan should be...
I'm sorry, but this festival doesn't look good to me. Reminds me of all the bad festivals in the states (minus the camping).
How to sneek beer into Bloodstock 🤔hmmmmm
Yes Unto Others! Saw them in Birmingham last year. I went to Download for 1 day last year and it was fun, but wasn’t as bothered about the lineup this year unfortunately 😬
I think im all festivalled out after bloodstock last July. 33°c heat with hardly any shelter or water was the worst. I didnt enjoy it. Couldn't be arsed this year
Looks like a good time. Metallica, Unto Others Waste and Disturbed plus there had to be other bands there. I'd say maybe to it. Better fests exists but some good bands mentioned and seen here.
Been watching you guys since i was 16, now I'm 22 how time flys.
I was feeling a bit left out so thank you for validating my decision not to bother.
Also please let me know if the hot sauce is any good.
Great video! This is fantastic content
Incredible festival download , grate value for money considering how many bands u can see over the 4 days, not shore how u can give an accurate review for the whole festival having only gone for the 1 day
