Why did you say psyduck is more useful than Starmie? Does it learn better moves or did it get stat buffs or something? Because Starmie is one of the best mons in gen 1 and is a monster

does Kaizo preserve the gen1 bug that prevents moves from inflicting status on mons of the same type? it's why normal types can't be paralyzed by body slam on cartridge

@@ChaoticMeatballTV you tried body slamming a tauros at some point, but how the gen 1 code resolves things like "poison types cannot get poisoned" and other stuff is a blanket ban on inflicting status effects if the move type matches the pokemon getting attacked with it. a result of this code is that because Body Slam is a normal type move it has no paralysis chance against normal types in gen 1 only. the only other damaging move in the game that has a chance to inflict status that isn't tied to a specific type is twin-needle's chance to poison, and twin-needle is a notoriously wonky move as well.
