    That is actually a damn good AC/DC tone on a tele. The thing is, the tone is not as heavy and overdriven as one might think. Very well done!

      A lot of people miss the fact that the “sound” of ACDC was actually a Gretsch, not a SG. Angus gets the spotlight for his leads and stage antics, but Malcolm was the one holding it down with the iconic riffs on his Gretsch with a filtertron pickup.

      It sounds too much brighter than the original guitars for my taste. He could've rolled the tone knob off. The originals sound clear and definite enough.

    The Harley Benton te 52 is a really really nice guitar. It’s unbelievably nice.
    I was seriously shocked when I got mine. I did remove the strings and polish the frets tho. They don’t really polish them from the factory. But that’s it. I got this thing to be considered a beater that I could leave laying around the house without being in a case. It’s so nice that now I’m going to get one for it.

      I’m a huge AC/DC fan. They are one of the best rock bands of all time. And somehow have two of the best singers in their history. Brian Johnson is as good as Robert Plant to me. And that’s saying a lot. I’m a huge Stratocaster fan. Fav guitar hands down although it’s hard to put down a quality SG once you pick one up. Recently I purchased a tele and I’m so blown away. After refusing them for years I am converted. They sound like nothing else. I can’t imagine Angus running around with one haha unless he swapped the school boy thing for a cowboy getup. I was curious about anyone playing AC/DC on a tele and came across your vid. Really awesome. Thanks!

    Nice playing man ! i'm a big fan of AC/DC and Harley Benton. This is freshly recorded,.. how long do you have this TE 52 ? Just wanna know or it are the Wilkinson pickups or the newer Roswell's . Can't see it well, but according to the tone, i think Wilkinson pickups. Also, this is ( i think ), not the new headstock logo ? So far the pictures on Thomann are not yet updated, altough you can see the new logo on the new black CST 24. Much better, take a look. Don't know or that same logo shape will appear on all of the models. And some are silver, some are gold. Gonna take a look at yout BIAS-patch on Cloud. Great played backing tracks also ! Nice job. Did you posted them somewhere ? Because this is far better quality than on those regular backing track sites. Thanks and greetz from Belgium. Gonna check out your other vids. BTW: Didn't see anybody play that accurate tone sounding AC/DC on a Tele. Soon i'll buy this one too.

    • @SRguitar
      @SRguitar  6 років тому +1

      Thank you very much! I got this guitar in january. It has the Roswell pickups and the old headstock. I only recorded the small parts as backing tracks. But maybe i'll do some tracks of the whole Songs sometime. Yeah, i thought it would be something different to play the songs on a tele ;)

    • @brunoCondor
      @brunoCondor 6 років тому +1

      It's defenitly different.. but would not able to hear or it was an SG Gibson or this one. That's due to BIAS AMP also of course. Great software. You can match pretty everything. Keep up the vids, preferable AC/DC ;D

    you are very good and congratulations for the piece, but to pass the guitar is a musical instrument is nothing short of pity. I have been playing for 30 years and having sold my canvases I decided to take harley benton te 52, .. a shameful thing !! not even fire comes to us! I also painted it to reassemble it, 50 mm of paint, the soft wood like the bread, the pitiful handle ... in short ... it is not recommended to be serious. I resold it being completely honest with the buyer who still took it for the positive reviews he had read. no comment!
