I love this! Once a week, I also collect branches from different trees and bushes to make a 'forest' in my guinea pig enclosure. Not only are these healthy snacks, they also look really nice and are quite fun to snack on. After a week, I collect all the leftovers, store them for winter time and get new freshly branches.
This looks amazing!! Not just for the obvious benefits for the pigs but for the decor and design of your apartment. Looks so nice and much more stylish. 💚
I like the 'natural cage' look with the branches very much. If you put the branch stems in water - maybe a 2 liter jar, or a milk container you rinsed, the leaves will stay green longer, maybe a week. I saw the fresh leaves on your Tuesday show, the leaves are dry by Saturday.
Awww, that is awesome! I am on vacation right now and had to board my two girls and I miss them so much. So thank you so much for sharing yours with me. Your forest looks lovely and very tasty!
I love your guinea pigs cage, they will for sure be happy about all the new nature features in the cage, they will feel more out in the wild and happy, keep up the great work!
first edit: nvm early alsoooo i love ur channel so so much it looks like they enjoy their cage a lot !! great pig mom! u are the first channel i've watched about guinea pigs!
This looks so amazing!! Two questions though: what type of bedding do you use and how do you clean it (how often and do you change everything or just spot clean?)
Agree! My piggies are mostly on a 100% fresh grass and forage diet during summer, and at this point they expect to have it available 24/7 in their enclosure. They don't care if it's raining, very hot and dry...not their problem! :D
That’s a really nice cage but, I have a few questions and concerns for my lil Kenny, first of all where can I get a big enough cage which isn’t too big but is enough for my lil Kenny to be comfy with and doesn’t cost too much $$$, second of all i did have 2 lil piggies at one point but one of them died (Rip Pepper) and now I am worried of getting another one, because of the cost and responsibility. If you have read this then thank you ❤️
Hiya, my little girl and I have been loving watching your videos, 😍 as after months of reading up and finding out about guinea pigs, next weekend we are getting ours, Molly would really like to make some little cardboard toys for them, so wondered if u had any tutorials you would recommend or advice about petsafe adhesives, we're in the UK, not America btw xxxx
Ahg I'm so jealous, I have two guinea pigs and their cage is so small, we have another cage that attaches to their small one but I barely have enough room to put it anywhere so I have to keep it up long
Most if not all fruit trees like apple, cherry, pear are good. Grape leaves are a favorite of mine too. The most important part is: no needle trees and the tree shouldn't produce much sap in the branches.
Guinea pigs can eat a wide variety of branches, including most fruit trees (apple, pear, apricot, figs, peach, plum), berry bushes and plants (raspberry, blackberry, gooseberry, strawberry, blueberry, currant), birch tree, oak tree, garden bamboo, beech tree, linden, ginkgo tree, poplar tree, willow tree and more. It's a myth that guinea pigs can't eat needle trees. They can eat most of them, but they shouldn't (and they usually won't) eat them in a high quantity. In fact, needle trees contain essential oils which are healthy and good for guinea pigs with URI or a weak respiratory tract. They can eat branches from spruce tree, pine tree, larch tree and fir tree (but please don't feed your guinea pig your Christmas tree, as these are highly treated to make the tree to last longer).
i want to put some greenery for my piggies too. can anyone suggest which varieties that may be safe ? i live in Thailand where its hot weather so some european varieties may not be as available
I'd like to do this but not going to risk it for now as I'm not sure if my tree branches are OK for piggies. But guessing they might be, actually. Considering the rats seem to like them. Still, I think I'll wait for apple & peach branches. They should be OK.
How bad is the urine smell in the house? I find two piggies already stink up the living area if I don't clean every 24 hours. I have a similar construction like your enclosure....
Oh wow this natural cage them looks so nice and authentic! I am inspired to decorate my DIY guinea pig cage.
Natural cage theme*

I’m sure the lady at the animal park you visited would be delighted to see how much you and the piggies appreciate her gift! I hope she is a viewer!
This is so cool! I love how you put placed the branches. Kind of looks like a forest

Jetzt muss ich auch mal die Augen nach Haselnussbäumen aufhalten :D finde das sieht soo schön aus und wie die piggies sich freuen, toll!
Lumi was being a very good tour guide. :)

Nice job 🐹🐾🐾🐾
I hope you work out an arrangement to continue to resupply the branches. The piggies are going to expect it. Good mommy!

That’s the cage I have, you can change the size of it and it’s easy set up and it’s what most Guinea pig owners recommend

can the piggies say happy birthday to me? haha
Los pollitos están bien bonitos
Dining opportunities galore! Will they continue to eat both leaves and branches?
heya! first :D nice cage :)
What branches did you use?
It looks awesome 😍 maybe it can cool down as well? Gatsby scratches in one shot very often, I hope she is doing fine?
Love it 😍

I wanna do this so bad now
Existen es ese es el video más bonito de todos
❤❤❤❤❤
love this vid!! i cant find hazelnut branches in my country, do u know what other types of branches r also suitables to the piggies?
I know maple is safe. And I'm assuming willow is too being that there are willow bridges for piggies, but I don't know for sure.

How do you keep the pee from smelling bad??
Hi, thanks for your video’s. Could you tell me where you got your big hay rack from?
It’s from Knastladen. A German online shop where prisoners are building different things out of wood, also a lot of Guinea pig stuff
How bad is the urine smell in the house? I find two piggies already stink up the living area if I don't clean every 24 hours. I have a similar construction like your enclosure....
But how do you clean that cage?! That looks too much work!
The cage looks great, I love it! And the piggies certainly seem to agree! 🤎 I hope the lady who gave you the branches gets to see this.
🙋🏻♂️
