Glad to see someone else trying the solo trip thing-im pretty much the only person I know who would even contemplate Disney vacations, but honestly I like it that way-solo trips mean you can do what you want, when you want.
Me and my Husband have just got back from our third trip to disney world. It was our first time seeing rivers of light and I thought it was absolutely incredible!!! I was totally blown away by it.. I can't believe you didn't like it!!
Winnie the Pooh is my fav too! I'm 55 years old and I adorn my bed with Winnie in his pj's! Loved Frozen sing along too! I'm going on my first solo trip so I thank you for sharing. 💞
I have booked myself a solo 14 day trip to Disney August 2018... I am staying in the All movies resort... To begin with I was happy to hear the good stuff, then my heart sank when you said you wouldn't do 14 days there.... then instantly felt relieved when you said "but its a great hotel if you are on a budget and want to stay on Disney" Lol! I have never been to any Disney park and so... I have gone with the full works, magic maker and dining plan so this has helped. I will also be going through Gatwick, and I have upgraded so... It's like UA-cam knew! This video was really helpful - Thank you
So pleased we managed to meet you and Ellie, by the gaston fountain. I was with my parents and daughter and her 2 daughters. My little granddaughter was so excited meeting you both.
So glad you enjoyed it so much! We loved spending time with you over there, I think we needed the human interaction with someone but each other just as much!! Haha xxx
Just a tip for those of you new to the magic band system. If you feel like you''re going to forget which finger you use for the finger scan, find some way to mark it, either by painting the nail, or putting a ring on or something.
Man, this makes me even want to do a solo trip even more. I'd love to go to Anaheim because it's smaller there, but WDW would be great too. But I know that will never happen. I've got a daughter to take care of and also: no money :p We are saving up to do a family trip to WDW someday....hopefully within the next 5 years or so :p I'm so glad you've had the best trip. I loved seeing all your pictures on Instagram and Twitter. You looked so happy and free and no sign of stress whatsoever. Don't worry about the Pecos Bill thing, I thought it was Peco Bill's too because I've heard a lot of vloggers say that. It just seams easier to pronounce than Pecos Bill.... I must say: you have made me VERy curious to try Yak and Yeti. I also heard Tom and Sophie always talking about it in their vlogs and the food looks delicious. It's defo on the checklist for when we go there...someday... :)
Hello, please can you do a video all about the different night time shows that are on offer at the Walt Disney World parks please. Loved the video. You always explain yourself really well :)
I recently got back from a 2 week solo trip and it was awesome. I was unsure if it was a good idea as iv'e never been on my own,, but after a day or 2 those doubts were gone. Art of animation was great, but the walls are so thin, you hear everything from the rooms next to you. The dining plan was good, but I think it would have been better/cheaper to use cash. Looking at doing 8-10 days for may next year. Highly recommend a solo trip to anyone.
You've inspired me to book my first solo WDW! I'm going to celebrate my 35th birthday there! Looking forward to experience it from a whole new perspective without my kids. Please do a Disney and Uber video. I'm new to Uber and want to utilize it at WDW.
Thank you so much for this vlog, it's super nice and useful and make us feel like booking a solo trip. I would love to do this so much! Im doing a solo Paris trip at the end of June, first time and Im excited and somehow worried at the same time. xxxxxx thanks for sharing
I almost always stay at Disney. One time I did the "partner hotels" by Disney Springs. Probably not legal, but I walked over to DS and used the Disney transport. Not as good, but I didnt have to drive.
Glad you had a good experience with immigration. It of course didn't spoil a wonderful holiday, however a word of warning for those on a busier day and different circumstances. We flew to Orlando with Virgin Atlantic the day before ( Saturday May 6th) from Gatwick. Neither myself or my partner had visited the US in the last 9 years and had to do the non express option at immigration. It took us close to 3 hours to get through and get our bags.(whereby we got into another 20 min queue to be asked if we had any fruit on us). I'm not criticising the need for security (although some could critique the staffing levels), but i would mentally prepare for this if like many, you find yourselves in the same circumstances.
Subscribed to your channel yesterday and watched your vlogs from your solo trip. Looks like you had so much fun! I'm currently planning a trip back to Disney World for next year and was so glad to hear your review for Be Our Guest. We usually dine at Columbia Harbor House or Pecos Bill's and I don't see us changing to another restaurant. We've always dined at Columbia Harbor House around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. The restaurant is usually less crowded and it's a nice place to sit in the cool air after being out in the heat.
As always awesome video! I did Tokyo Disney and Disneyland Paris last year and had sooo many people talking to me! I'm doing Disneyworld, Tokyo Disney, Hong Kong Disney and Disneyland Paris all solo this year! I love being able to do what I want, when I want. I'm on the dinning plan for the first time this year as Disney food is so expensive, thanks to your videos I change my BOG reservation from lunch to breakfast!
I have pretty much the same views on BOG. When we went the first time in 2013, we didn't have the dining plan so paid for dinner there but weren't overly fussed with the food. Last summer we went twice for breakfast because we were on the QS plan and to be honest, next year we'll probably just do it for breakfast or lunch and use a QS instead of using a TS credit on it (we definitely wouldn't have done breakfast if we were paying for it ourselves, to be honest) I pretty much go there for the atmosphere (and the photo opportunities) than anything else.
Aine Michelle I hate breakfast at Be Our Guest. I love dinner and lunch there. I love lunch because it counts as a quick service and I feel like you get a lot of food just for a quick service. I love dinner because of The Grey Stuff and I totally think it's amazing. I hate breakfast because we went once and I got the French toast sticks and it definitely wasn't good at all. I hated it, so I only ate the little appetizers thingies.
Yeah, the food definitely isn't amazing for breakfast - but then again, I'm not a massive breakfast eater so it didn't make a ton of different to me. We're definitely going to do it as a QS lunch some time during our next trip, to see what it's like :]
Would you do an updated version of tips and advice for booking a trip? Like tips on what to book, where to go when, what to take to the park, where to eat, as someone who has never been starting from scratch I love your advice/chatty uploads and find your knowledge on point!!! Disney should hire you for social media!
Laura Merrigan weather wise best time coming to Florida is Septemberish to at least march. The temperature tends to be a bit cooler but it is Florida and the weather could possibly still be as hot as summer. Bring sunscreen for sure. Wear comfy shoes, sandals are okay as long as there not the hard plastic ones.
Hi Laura, sorry to jump on Charlotte's comments, I have (in the past months) uploaded a video series on organising a holiday to Disney World if you are interested. In the coming weeks I will be uploading Disney World vlogs :)
I requested this video, so thank you so much for making it! Wish I could have met you down there!! Your feelings for BOG are the same as mine, the food just isn't that good! And the Violet Lemonade is at the Pineapple Promenade.
I'm so glad you had a great time and can't wait for the vlogs. I'm going around America for 9 weeks in October and planning to spend the last week at Disney (right before Christmas!!) and was looking at the Red Lion as it's so cheap. Now you've said it's decent enough, I might have to book it! The other hotel I was looking at was Lakeside main gate - don't suppose you know anything about that one? Any tips for a solo Disney trip and getting to the parks with uber would be really appreciated! 😊 xxx
I love watching your videos. We are going to Florida again in September and would love some more info from you on how you got on using uber as we are not going to get a car this time. 😘
We stayed in a villa this time as I did when I was a child, and found the same issue with felling like you had to stay at the parks all day. Instead of having the felxablity to quickly up back to the resort for a freshen up. Next year we are 100% going to stay on resort with dining plan, I would love to hear your recommendation for Deluxe and moderate resorts for a honeymoon kinda in a budget? I can't wait for your blogs to start xx
The only reason Disney is so popular and stays that way is because they change at least one ride/restaurant/hotel or store every year which bring ppl back!
Great video as I've always wanted to do one of these trips on my own as well. 2 things to ask if I can please 1- was it expensive for the hotel as you would pay single occupancy instead of 2 people 2- was it awkward having dinner on your own. Was people looking or staring at you.
Hi Charlotte! Love the vlogs, thank you! I will be doing my second solo trip in September/October this year, yay!!! I love going with family and friends but totally agree with your comments that you get a totally different experience when travelling solo. I too use Uber and have found them to be so easy and cheap. Not sure when you guys are going later this year but would be awesome to meet up and say hi??? S
Its nice to hear someone else who doesn't rate Be Our Guest. The setting is stunning but the food just isn't up to scratch, apart from the grey stuff, that really is delicious!
Thank you so much for making this!! I have a question- how did your family react to the news of your solo trip? Like were they supportive? Since you announced your trip I've been really wanting to do one but just don't know how I'd broach it with the fam! Love your vids Charlotte xx
Did you Uber from Disney property to Universal? If so, how did you find it? And roughly how much? Sounds like you had an amazing time - look forward to watching the vlogs xx
So if you stay one or two nights at a Disney resort. And then move to a non Disney resort for the rest of the week. Can you still get extra magic hours since you stayed on site. Or can you only use it on the days staying on site?
Hi Charlotte! I personally haven't used Uber at all here, so am interested in hearing how it worked out for you over in Florida! Did you visit any other shops or supermarkets via Uber too? I'd love to visit by myself one day! Looking forward to watching the vlogs! :)
This is my first time watching! I've got my next Disney trip booked for next year (three weeks 😬😬😬) How many times have you been Charlotte? Next year will be my 10th or 11th!!
We staying in port Orleans I am desperate to go back already can I ask I know you get the extra magic hours but I have wondered how do they get people out who are not staying onsite for the late magic hours ??? I just wondered I get in the morning g your tickets won't work but don't get the evening I will only stay onsite as hubby won't drive out there and we found it easier to be able to go in later and stay later with the kids than starting at 8-9am we found later I. The holiday it was easier for us to go into a park at 11-12 x
You said you spent a night on site at WDW. Did you book 14 nights at Red Lion and bit the bullet to book the one night extra at WDW or did you split your stay at Red Lion? I'm interested to know if you had to change rooms at Red Lion? Q2. When you stayed on site at WDW, you would have had to check out after your nights stay. What did you do with your bag (s) whilst you were in the parks? Could you leave them there and pick them after or did you take them back to Red Lion in the day and return to the parks? Sorry for so many questions! I'm just interested in the logistics of it all as I'd like to do something similar. Thanks for a great video!
+Andrew B I was only there for 7 days and I had a booking at the Red Lion for the whole thing as I didn't know I was going to stay at ASM when I booked it. I put my bag in a locker when I was at the park xx
Is it possible to link your Disney ticket to a magic band even if you aren't staying in a Disney hotel? Also what's transport like between the parks and Disney springs! Thanks for a great video :-)
There are buses for Disney Springs I think but they’re more infrequent to discourage people trying to park their for free. Plus it takes ages to get there from DS x
Oh you're making it hard for me to decide if we should dedicate a night to Rivers of Light?! Cannot decide based on what everyone says. Not sure it's worth it!
Oh and with other reviews, 'Be Our Guest' is consistently coming up with bad reviews other than the quick service, and the same with PizzeRizzo ... It's already on my list, it's reassuring to hear others saying the same thing. *thumbs up!
If you're paying for the dining plan and eating quick service the chances are it's not worth it - you're saving money NOT having it. The Quick Service Plan is a bit of a con. If you're getting it 'free' as a moderate resort I guess it's slightly different. How the hell do you take that many photos - I'd really like to take more but I don't know, never seems to be in the flow.
Hi charlotte , I'm looking to be booking my first solo trip to disney been about 4 times with the family but i now i feel ready to a trip solo would you be able to give me any tips ? I am looking at staying at all star sports as it will be the cheapest one for me :) i'm also wondering would the quick service dining plan be worth having for a solo traveler? love the vids by the way :)
yeah pretty sure i could cope with q's i've booked myself in now for 6th september 2018 defo looking forward to it and went for the quick service in the end :)
i hated imigration last year, it took forever, the que was ridiculous. its nice to know its changed however its going to prove intresting as my sister and me still have a valid esta ready for when we go again in a few weeks however this is my brothers first time in the states, guess we will just have to wait and see and i suppose its good practice for next year when we bring my brother in law with us for the first time.
I may be wrong and I've never really sat down to do the math, but I think you're better off (financially) buying your own meals instead of paying for the dining plan.
originalresqme I suspect you're right. I kept all my receipts from our 2 week 2015 trip & if we'd paid for it we would have been slightly cheaper. We did a couple of signitures which I think tipped the balance slightly, if we'd done only normal table service I think we would have been closer to breaking even. We also didn't use all of our quick service & snack credits because the table service was so filling & ended up with over $200 of candy to use up our credits at the end of the holiday. My friend is vegetarian & it's definitely not value for money (plus finding vegetarian options wasn't always easy).
Charlotte there has been a few instances recently about things going missing from room's on Disney and a instance of a women who stole buggies from the theme parks. Please do not think cause your in Disney that your in a sterile environment look after your stuff please.
Actually, you're still pronouncing it wrong. It's not "PECK-Ohs". It's "PAY-Kose", named after the Pecos River in the American Southwest. It's neither plural nor possessive. It rhymes with "pay close attention" without the attention part at the end. It's Spanish. Add a bit of flair when you say it. lol I am debating taking a solo trip (about a 12 hour drive) in November. Thanks for the video encouragement.
Omg, I was in Magic Kingdom for the final wishes and the first happily ever after! I wish I saw you. Personally, I prefer Celebrate the Magic over Once Upon a Time just because of the songs and I love listening to it.
This is making me SO EXCITED for our trip!!!
3:21 is literally a life goal omg!!
Glad to see someone else trying the solo trip thing-im pretty much the only person I know who would even contemplate Disney vacations, but honestly I like it that way-solo trips mean you can do what you want, when you want.
I loved my solo trip xx
Me and my Husband have just got back from our third trip to disney world. It was our first time seeing rivers of light and I thought it was absolutely incredible!!! I was totally blown away by it.. I can't believe you didn't like it!!
It's lovely that you stopped to take photos of families at Disney.
You should do a video of all your photopass photos! I love looking at where people can get photos taken 😊 xxx
Winnie the Pooh is my fav too! I'm 55 years old and I adorn my bed with Winnie in his pj's! Loved Frozen sing along too! I'm going on my first solo trip so I thank you for sharing. 💞

I agree.....it's nice to be around people who get the whole Disney thing :)
The bubble is a good place to be!! xx
I definitely agree about Be our Guest. I wasn't keen on my evening meal but really liked the breakfast there.
Looking forward to the vlogs!
:)
At Be Our Guest I always order off the kids menu. The meals are the perfect size, its not to much but not small. Also the prices are better!
Just got home from a long weekend away and this was such a nice way to unwind after 12 hours in the car. Looking forward to the vlogs :)
Obsessed with your channel and everything you're posting lately, cannot wait for more ❤❤❤❤
Great trip report! Couldn't agree more about BOG!
I am using your fab spreadsheet for our Christmas trip and it's fabulous. Thank you x
Just a tip for those of you new to the magic band system. If you feel like you''re going to forget which finger you use for the finger scan, find some way to mark it, either by painting the nail, or putting a ring on or something.
Great tip Nicole xx
Thanx Charlotte, really enjoyed this, glad you had a great time. Much love :) xx

Well done for going on your own, I think you were so brave! I loved following you instagram pics of your trip, looked bladdy amazing. :) x
We used Uber in May for MK and we got collected at contemporary resort! Only a two minute walk!
Hello, please can you do a video all about the different night time shows that are on offer at the Walt Disney World parks please. Loved the video. You always explain yourself really well :)
so glad you had a fantastic time we agree with you about BAG love harber house XUK
I recently got back from a 2 week solo trip and it was awesome. I was unsure if it was a good idea as iv'e never been on my own,, but after a day or 2 those doubts were gone. Thank you so much for this vlog, it's super nice and useful and make us feel like booking a solo trip. I would love to do this so much! Im doing a solo Paris trip at the end of June, first time and Im excited and somehow worried at the same time.
xxxxxx thanks for sharing
We were there at the same time as you (saw you in luggage claim while we were in the crazy customs queue) so can't wait to watch the vlogs!
Good video! I can't wait to go in 20 days
I almost always stay at Disney. One time I did the "partner hotels" by Disney Springs. Probably not legal, but I walked over to DS and used the Disney transport. Not as good, but I didnt have to drive.
U are one of my favourite uk Disney vlogger
Thank you Aman xx
No way, we never went upstairs at Pizza Rizzo, wish I had now, sounds fun.
I've just booked my tickets for 2018 with Florida Tix, thank you for the tip!
+Samantha Fenton thanks great Samantha! Hope you enjoy xx

i was looking for u out there charlotte and u were always in a different park to me lol.. cant wait for the vlogs xx
The be our guest lunch is alot better. It's quite cheap, and you still get the setting etc, just no beast! X
+lucy B I think that’s what I’ll do next time!! xx

Tanya I’ve heard lunch is better!!! Change it backkkkkkkkk!!!
I’ll be so upset if you have a terrible time haha!!
Lol I still have both reservations at the moment, so maybe I could treat myself and do both 🙈 plus it will use up some dinning credits!
I did enjoy breakfast but so many people have said lunch is the way to go!! If you do both let me know!! xx

Masquerading As An Adult I see what you did there at the end! 😜😉😏 Impressed!

Sounds like you had an amazing time - look forward to watching the vlogs xx
If I were to go on a disney solo trip which one would you recomend me: the quick service dining plan or the disney dining plan?
So if you stay one or two nights at a Disney resort. And then move to a non Disney resort for the rest of the week. Can you still get extra magic hours since you stayed on site. Or can you only use it on the days staying on site?
My understanding is that to take advantage of EMH you definitely have to be staying at a disney property the DAY you're using EMH.
Hi Charlotte! I personally haven't used Uber at all here, so am interested in hearing how it worked out for you over in Florida! Did you visit any other shops or supermarkets via Uber too? I'd love to visit by myself one day! Looking forward to watching the vlogs! :)
Miss Ruff, where's my blaze pizza recommendation shout out 🤷🏻♂️😘
This is my first time watching! I've got my next Disney trip booked for next year (three weeks 😬😬😬) How many times have you been Charlotte? Next year will be my 10th or 11th!!
I realise now I should probably do a few Disney vids with all that experience 🙈
How busy were the parks?
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS 💜
We staying in port Orleans I am desperate to go back already can I ask I know you get the extra magic hours but I have wondered how do they get people out who are not staying onsite for the late magic hours ??? Totally get the people not getting Disney lol. My husband thinks I'm crazy. 😬😬😬
Also, have you done BOG lunch? I love the lunch.
Is Florida Tix only for U.K. Guest?
You said you spent a night on site at WDW. Did you book 14 nights at Red Lion and bit the bullet to book the one night extra at WDW or did you split your stay at Red Lion? I'm interested to know if you had to change rooms at Red Lion?

Sorry for so many questions! I'm just interested in the logistics of it all as I'd like to do something similar. Thanks for a great video!
+Andrew B I was only there for 7 days and I had a booking at the Red Lion for the whole thing as I didn't know I was going to stay at ASM when I booked it.
I put my bag in a locker when I was at the park xx
Ah, got it. Now I understand. Thanks!
would you ever stay a universal hotel for 14 days? imho they're much better than disney hotels ( hashtag controversial )
Is it possible to link your Disney ticket to a magic band even if you aren't staying in a Disney hotel?
Also what's transport like between the parks and Disney springs! Thanks for a great video :-)
Yes you can. Just go onto the MDE app and add the codes from the tickets. That’s what I did on this trip!! There’s buses between all the parks :)
Fall1 I went two weeks ago and it was amazing honestly I preferred rivers of light to fantastic it wa beautiful x
Is there more of a wait to get into magic kingdom with the new baggage check system?
+Tom Wills no much quicker as it's all spread out now between the T&TC and the resort hotels and the Disney bus stop xx
Charlotte | Lilmisschickas ♡ great thanks very much and glad you enjoyed your solo trip, looking forward to the vlogs!!
+alex howard ho Alex. I think Qs would be ok for one depending on how much you eat really. All star is fab! Enjoy xx
yeah pretty sure i could cope with q's i've booked myself in now for 6th september 2018 defo looking forward to it and went for the quick service in the end :)
i hated imigration last year, it took forever, the que was ridiculous. its nice to know its changed however its going to prove intresting as my sister and me still have a valid esta ready for when we go again in a few weeks however this is my brothers first time in the states, guess we will just have to wait and see and i suppose its good practice for next year when we bring my brother in law with us for the first time.
Don't do the night safari Charlotte big disappointment
Forgot to say we got the free dining plan deal ^^;
how much spending money should you take
+Adele c think it will depend on if you have dining plan, what souvenirs you want etc. Xx
Charlotte there has been a few instances recently about things going missing from room's on Disney and a instance of a women who stole buggies from the theme parks. Please do not think cause your in Disney that your in a sterile environment look after your stuff please.
+italianjob 77 oh gosh yes I know. I'm always so careful with my stuff wherever I am. Everything goes in the safe!! xx
Actually, you're still pronouncing it wrong. It's not "PECK-Ohs". It's "PAY-Kose", named after the Pecos River in the American Southwest. It's neither plural nor possessive. It rhymes with "pay close attention" without the attention part at the end. It's Spanish. Add a bit of flair when you say it. lol
I am debating taking a solo trip (about a 12 hour drive) in November. Thanks for the video encouragement.
God damn it haha! And I really thought I’d nailed it this time!!
Omg, I was in Magic Kingdom for the final wishes and the first happily ever after! I wish I saw you. Personally, I prefer Celebrate the Magic over Once Upon a Time just because of the songs and I love listening to it.
