I bet there were some AMAZING bikes at that show yet we never got to see them. It seems like Nik Wogan, the camera man and editor, was going for some weird 60's abstract film school project that never shows the subject. The ONLY semi decent motorcycle footage is in the intro & outro of those being ridden. If you go TO a motorcycle SHOW and shoot a SHOW about motorcycles, I HIGHLY suggest that you SHOW the motorcycles.
Big fan of the show! I wish you all would have done more full-bike shots. There are a lot of moving cam detail shots but we rarely get to see the whole big in one shot.
You guys should do a show on vintage two stroke street bikes sometime, like the Yamaha RD400,RZ350 and RZ500 or the Suzuki RG series. Nothing like the smell of pre-mix in the morning.
Too funny. I was thinking the same thing a lot you were. This would be a really interesting piece if the camera would actually allow the audience to see some of these motorcycles.
i love custom bikes, i own one too and i liked the video, but... we almost didn't even get one clear shot at a bike.. you know, a video almost entirely made of close-ups doesn't really work.. especially when u're hiding the real protagonists behind them..
The first thing i think of once I'm done watching an episode of Ride Apart, Tuned, Big Muscle or any of the other shows is. Why Can't I go to a website to see a nice huge hi res picture gallery of all the cars and bikes talked about.
In photography they's say "if you think your close enough, half the distance again". I suspect the camera guy may have been a photographer turned videographer. Probably using an SLR. The work he hid was awesome and I really enjoyed the whole thing, but like others I did think on a few occasions - take 3 steps back and let me see the whole friggin bike. Looking forward to next years
You need a new camera person. There should be decent wide shots of each motorcycle showing the whole motorcycle. Watching people talk about bikes which you can't see is very frustrating. You have recorded some details of the bikes which makes it actually even more frustrating.
Oh! Jamie you said you saw that guys bike from across the venue. Too bad I freaking didnt, all I saw was a load of flecks in paint from how god dammed zoomed in the field of view was.
Isn't this guy who said during a sportbike test " how can have they some fun ? " looking at harley bikers riding in a twisty road. ? lol journalists are so versatile...
Great video but it's a shame there are no real wide shots of the whole bikes you're looking at... I suppose there were some massive space constraints, but a wide-angle lens wouldn't have gone amiss!
So many angry UA-cam comments. You do realize they don't have to make these videos. Show some damn respect. Great coverage. This was all about the event, the rad people and their bikes. Yeah it's a bummer there weren't more wide shots, but awesome detail and great choice in bikes to cover. Keep up the good work and ignore the disrespectful whiners, hiding behind their keyboards. UA-cam breeds the worst of them.
Lovely arty shots but nowhere near enough full bike shots. Was it a copyright issue or something, because it seemed to be on every featured bike. Or are you saving something for later?
Worst camera work ever. Not one shot of an entire motorcycle . We are all good in the seat, speedo and handlebars department... Boo on the guy that thinks he is Federico Fellini....
This is a video of motorcycle parts and pieces.
SHOW THE WHOLE BIKE DAMNT!!
M AR Seriously!! I was so fucking frustrated about that! Why wouldn't they show the bikes they were talking about??!!
+Boomhauer he's right though, calm the fuck down tough guy! Is it too much to ask to see the bikes in their entirety??
+M AR Yeah, what were they thinkin? Its about motorcycles, show the damn motorcycles.
I was just going to comment on the exact same thing!!
Came to the comments to say the same... terrible video.
"Ive never seen a motorcycle quite like this..." well neither have we because you never actually showed the whole bike...
1. Show the bikes, not the people who talk about them
2. FILL THE FRAME with the SUBJECT, not obscure parts of it. We want to see the whole bike.
That's what I was saying!!!!
Frank Gotti And i backed you up, bro!
It would have been nice to see a video of the bikes
Cool video, but would have been a lot better if they showed a full view of all the bikes they were talking about in the interviews.
One of the best shows on UA-cam. Jamie is a brilliant host, showcasing the modern motorbike subculture. Keep up the great entertainment.
The coolest bike show that we didn't get to see. Thanks for nothing!
I bet there were some AMAZING bikes at that show yet we never got to see them. It seems like Nik Wogan, the camera man and editor, was going for some weird 60's abstract film school project that never shows the subject. Loved the video. Loved seeing a shot of a timing cover for half a second but a full shot of the narrator eating a hot dog.
You can barely see the bikes with those close-ups. I really wanted to see that 70's honda 750
LOVE THE ASIAN GUY WHO BUILT A TRIUMPH AND IS WEARING A MOTORHEAD SHIRT!..... Great combo....
Forgot to film a bike mate!
no doubt im kinda pissed about it tbh
this is a horrible video. why so many close up shots?!? show the damn bikes!
yup it suxxxxxx
Yeah that sucked, some of em were bad as shit, that triumph deserved more than that
Im in LOVE with the Santee with the tm400 2-stroke swap!! Wow! 2 strokes and bobbers are the best combination.
i want to see the actual bikes
cry about it baby bitchboy
........ 10 minutes of great detail shots, and you hardly showed a single motorcycle......?
Big fan of the show! I wish you all would have done more full-bike shots. There are a lot of moving cam detail shots but we rarely get to see the whole big in one shot.
110mpg? 2 litres per 100km? Holy crap, my next project is a diesel bike for sure!!
It was an awesome bike show, highly recommended to everyone.
Really enjoyed the diesel bike- but the whole video was great.
RdieApart is grat series, keep it on. Greetings from bikers of Czech Republic!
I am in LOVE with that bike at 10:00 with the 400cc 2 stroke in it!!
he had never seen a bike like it and i still havent. show the bikes please
You guys should do a show on vintage two stroke street bikes sometime, like the Yamaha RD400,RZ350 and RZ500 or the Suzuki RG series. Nothing like the smell of pre-mix in the morning.
This goes to show that motorcyclists are THE MOST PASSIONATE PEOPLE ON EARTH!!!!
I studied in Irvine, Ca and I never saw a single bike like these there.
Excellent Video,Thanks Jamie & Nik.
Christ.. what infuriating camera work.. can't see a damn thing! This started off so well, but what a disappointment.
totally AWESOME.coolest motorcycle video I have seen in a long time.MOST EXCELLENT!!!
MUCH RESPECT.
8:15 Knees to the breeze! Sense of Zen! Oh yeah! love it!
Agreed, I wanted to see the whole bikes!
got to see this bike show ... damn it looks fun
Too funny. I was thinking the same thing a lot you were.
This would be a really interesting piece if the camera would actually allow the audience to see some of these motorcycles.
Nice full frame shot of your lunch
Fantastic video and I'm no chopper guy. Most awesome sound at 10:01
i love custom bikes, i own one too and i liked the video, but... we almost didn't even get one clear shot at a bike.. you know, a video almost entirely made of close-ups doesn't really work.. especially when u're hiding the real protagonists behind them..

pretty damn cool! I'd love to go to something like that! Great Video! :-)
Living in cold damp U.K. looked good to me. Rode my Aprilia 650 today and froze my nuts off !!!
8:12 Find that guy, hire him, and give him his own segment.
The Norton was killer. Glad he didn't just focus on the most obvious bikes.. Those got enough attention!
Why is it that I absolutly LOVE rideapart, but the new videos dont show up in my subscription feed? I have to constantly search for them...
god damn it! I go to school in Irvine and I didn't hear about this
Bike before Roland's was mental!
The Geneva Convention classifies this music as cruel, and unusual punishment.
thought this was supposed to be the episode about the triumph?
all and all tho awesome episode keep it up!!
I agree with Cody Jones and loved the video! FREEDOOOOOM!
The dude with the motor head shirt has one kick ass bike
Was the camera man fired after this? I sure hope so.
nice ultra 2 seconds close up on parts and 20 seconds still frame on people we dont give a shit about...i barely saw 3 bikes during the whole thing
yes, I really wish they just showed the whole bikes. Geesh!
Whoever is shooting the video does not ride. Show the bike!!! Not the owner. This is frustrating and I am not watching to the end. Not subscribing.
Nice close-up shots, but I have no idea what the bikes look like...
All of the hype about the cb750f and you didn't film it.
Nice vid, can you show the whole bike next time though please?
WHY THE FK you didnt film the whole bikes?
Wish I were there. Next time show the bikes
I liked the video!!!

lol journalists are so versatile...
Woow. It was probably the editor that edited all of the bike stuff out.
Awesome video bro.
I love bike meets.
Great video but it's a shame there are no real wide shots of the whole bikes you're looking at... I suppose there were some massive space constraints, but a wide-angle lens wouldn't have gone amiss!
MegaTaurus777... My thoughts exactly. You can always spot the ones that can still think for themselves.
So many angry UA-cam comments. You do realize they don't have to make these videos. Show some damn respect.

Made it three minutes and 12 seconds into this video before I realized I'll never get this time back I'm moving on
i dont like new sport bikes but i would love to be that guy and ride up to this show on a stretched hayabusa xD (i ride a 1972 Honda CL350)
Nice one!
Was that bike in the beginning with the copper coils a mobile still? Cause if so thatd be freakin awesome
NOW THATS a bike meet !! here in uk its just boring plastic misiles everywhere!!! they all look the same with a power ranger next to them!!
Hi , please show more of the bikes you are talking about...
its the middle of january in maine. The itch to ride is so bad I don't care if its cold. TIME TO RIDE
Why are there so many thumbs up for this video of faces of people who own nice bikes?
That TM 400 is deadly. I wonder what year the motor is from.
Lovely arty shots but nowhere near enough full bike shots. Was it a copyright issue or something, because it seemed to be on every featured bike. Or are you saving something for later?
well the clutch covers look good.
What is the music being played inbetween? Heard it many times before but no idea who it is.
I agree can we see the fookin bikes!!!!
Hell yea, kick start that Norton Commando.
We can tell that @Anxie7y is the cameraman on this video since he is all defensive. Hahahahhaha worst fucking cameraman in history. HAHAHA!
HELLOOO! Where are the BIKES??? 😎💨
2:51 This kid knows what's really important.
0:52
Where can I get detailing/engraving like that done??
Come on over man, we'd love to have you!
Great vid. Nice close up shots but not too many pull away full shots though.
UMMMMM......10 STEPS FORWARD , 20 STEPS BACK,........EASY RIDER LIVES ON ......AND ON .
That camerawork was excruciating. Wide shot anyone?
Would have been nice to actually see the damn bikes!
Don't listen to Nico, there are about 13.2 liters in a gallon.
lol i wonder if those girls would answer if you asked what a shovel head was
those girls had NO IDEA what a shovlehead even was LMAO
Back up and let us see the whole bike!!!! Lol
Stopped after the diesel bike. Sounds awesome, too bad I couldn't see it. Too much wanna be artsy filming here
Anyone that complains about this video isn't a biker.
Worst camera work ever. Not one shot of an entire motorcycle . We are all good in the seat, speedo and handlebars department... Boo on the guy that thinks he is Federico Fellini....
Beautiful :)
Yeah, it's a little frustrating that they don't show the full bike. Is the show about watching you speak about the bikes or about the bikes?..
what's the song Please? great show !!
