- Basic Norwegian classes giving you all the basic grammar for A1 level in Norwegian.
Sorry about bad audio - Hopefully I will improve it later this year (2015).
For online tutor in Norwegian: www.norwegianlearning.com
For those who did not noticed - I did make a new series where video 1 is about the same topic but with better audio.
Video 1 is here: ua-cam.com/video/CDjPre4h9bk/v-deo.html
Tusen Takk! I will be watching both these two parts and that series of 9 videos. You're an excellent teacher! Thank you for doing this for us!
This video is very helpful. I haven't been very lucky in finding a teacher and the materials for learning are a joke at best. I have found a few items online that may order from Norway that actually cover the A1-A2. Coming from learning Icelandic, some of the material is pretty much the same which helps with learning. I know I have a long road ahead but this is something I want to do for myself.
Sounds like im listening to a Norwegian Air pilot talking..
glesie Javello that's kinda sexy
@@duchessedeberne3909 It only reminds me of the food in the planes that I don't like 😂

Best Norwegian lesson on UA-cam I've seen so far
I think so
why does norwegian language sounds as if the speaker were constantly asking questions?
Well most of that dialogue in Norwegian was two people asking each other questions.
😂 i know this is a literal question but this is funny.
Hva?
Its the intonation

The is a really, really good guide. Nice and slow but very precise.
he is great!
this was amazing. it felt like a college course in Norwegian,. succinct, useful, and spoken quite clearly.
Thank you for sharing the Norwegian language with the world! We need more content for people to enjoy!
Very Detailed and helps greatly to understand the fundamentals. Good job
Thank you for the lesson. I became interested in Norwegian since I like Scandinavian culture and - as a native Polish speaker - I appreciate simple and logical languages :D Your speaking is a good addition to the course presented by Trondheim University, because your lessons are spoken. Tusen takk og ha det bra!
Great lesson. I wish there were more... Can anyone advise another good channel for learning norwegian?

Hmmm I'm thinking the R sound is probably and originally Old Norsk and the Normans introduced it in the French language....or some story like that.
You are really very best teacher sir really learning very well thank you for making this video
thank you so much! its very useful!
Really Useful! thanks
Super useful, tusen takk!
Perfect work!Wery good video!
Muito boa a aula.😍
tusen takk! greetings from Brazil.
hello from Russia. Next one is Afganisthan :)))
buen vídeo, tusen takk.
May I ask a question please?
Your pronunciation of R sounds like it's coming from your throat, at least as I hear it through my headphones... I find that it's difficult for me to pronounce it like that. In fact I find it easier to pronounce it like a rolling R (by rolling the tongue against my teeth). Is that pronunciation acceptable or I should work the back of the throat type?
It would sound weird if you would make a rolling R when you talk norwegian, I think some would laugh at you so I think you should try to make the Norwegian R
DannyIsAlwaysHappy Ok! Thank you very munch for your information. I'll try the Norwegian R. Thanks again!
Thanks for the video.. quick question, why is hvor used in "hvor er du fra" and also "Hvor mange" when i thought the word would be Hvordan?
Hvor means where so.. You couldn't said how are you from?
phisof91 I think he is more referring to the use of "hvor" for -how many-. In his mind, it should be "hvordan mange?".
Andrew Haugen , the answer to your question is a bit complicated. If I were you, I would just accept it. Not everything works exactly the same way as English.
this was the text that confused me from a Learn Norsk site:- In expressions like "how many?", "how much?" and "how old?", the word "hvor" is used:
"Hvor mange?" "Hvor mye?" "Hvor gammel?"
Andrew Haugen For now, just accept the fact that in these phrases, you have to use "hvor".
Andrew Haugen As far as I know, any 'how' question relating to a quantity uses hvor instead of hvordan (hvor mye, hvor mange, hvor gammel). Those examples all relate to asking for a quantity. Otherwise you would use hvordan.
Very helpful explanation! Takk!
It's so hard to learn when you have no one to practice with 😂
Let’s practice together.
I’m also looking for a learning partner.
@@FavJam you are a bit late my man xd
@@arminduvel4622 it doesn't have to be with her. I guessed someone might be up for it :)

Hei Hei! Do you offer courses higher than A1? -Amy 😊🇳🇴
Tusen takk ..... jeg elsker Norwegian .... Norsk Norge
Very nice!
some of the words/pronounciation are same with the german alphabet?
Ana May I was told that germans are able to speak norwegian very well.
it is true, german is also easy for norwegians.
norwegian has a gullible and happy sound to it, german has a angry and serious sound to it... :)
They’re both part of the Germanic family tree, though Norsk is Northern Germanic and German is Western.
Mfw I'm using my second language to learn a third language. This is more fun than expected.
Thank you man
Thanks man,The Video is great! (Y)
i like your video good please upload more
Takk.
Yoish! Thank you for making this available, very valuable and looking forward to learning Norwegian.

Tusen takk
You made a few grammatical mistakes, but still very useful.
Tusen takk :D
Ok. Tusen takk for hjelpen din. Det er for vanskelig å finne en norskkurs i byen min eller i Rio de janeiro.
very good thank you
Oh yea!!! Bring on that Norwegian power
tusen takk,its very well
tusens of takks! :)
Takk!! 😊
Any norwegian could translate this into norsk?
If You See Me Crying
:
I saw you in my dream fighting with your nightmares
you told me "I won them"
you have the ability to calm the mind
but it's not real love to want me any longer
but it's not real love to want me any longer
If you see me crying and burning like fire
look for me in the lies you have in your heart
If you see me crying and burning like fire
look into the truth you had in your arms
but I have no tears anymore
Look the empty bottles that keep me company
I tear apart pages, I write exaggerating things
I ask your friends, I'm looking around for you
Everyone tells me that you are not here anymore
Everyone tells me that you are not here anymore
If you see me crying and burning like fire
look for me in the lies you have in your heart
If you see me crying and burning like fire
look into the truth you had in your arms
but I have no tears anymore
While waiting for you, no one survived
They told me that you lie in others' arms
While waiting for you my mind has been lost
and sings the crazy people's ballad
and sings the crazy people's ballad
If you see me crying and burning like fire
look for me in the lies you have in your heart
If you see me crying and burning like fire
look into the truth you had in your arms
but I have no tears anymore
but I have no tears anymore
Good one

this mange tak.

SKAM inspirerte meg :)
I really can't ear the difference between the 3 "mange" (at 9:13)
Can someone help me? ^^
It's a lot softer in Norwegian than English. In English you have to put quite a lot of effort into making the G sound, in Norwegian it flows out of your mouth a lot softer and easier.
He's not explaining differences between the 3 of them. He's giving examples of the soft -ng sound in Norwegian e.g -ring, mange, lang ( ring, many, long)'. It's softer than say the -ng sound in ''orange or 'Orangutang''. It's like a softer version of the English -ng in 'hung' or 'lung'. Just repeat how he pronounces -ring compared to in English. Not sure if that helped, but I tried ;D
nice
mange takk
waw dat marvelous ,,
