I like it a LOT. I could understand an argument that it's "recycling" a riff, but it feels more like an intentional callback rather than a lack of creativity

ERRA is by far my favourite metalcore band, and their sound has matured a lot over the last two albums. The songs coming out of this new album feel more controlled and refined. they're all improving a lot as musicians, love to see it
Also, I feel some ghost atlas vibes in this song which I’m not complaining about
They slowly matured and grew to be one of my favorite bands as well. Been following them since “Drift” days, and I can say JT Cavey was a perfect fit for the band. I didn’t really enjoy the previous one’s as much as I do w/ JT. Personally I belong his growls blend perfectly w/ Jesse’s melodics. I wonder if they will manage to top their previous album. That self titled from 2021 was one of the best albums of that year.

Augment was one of my top albums for literally years, and honestly still is. I saw them open for August Burn Red and they played several songs from Augment - it was better than the headliner!

YES! Impulse is a fucking masterpiece. I remember back in the day when I discovered them. Blew me away 😮 Few people mention this album I don't know why, perhaps it's not well known.

Drift but they haven't written a bad song ever.
To all the ERRA haters saying that all of their music sounds the same. You may be somewhat correct, but ERRA SOUNDS LIKE ERRA! Nobody else sounds like them. They're unique.
And Unique bands are allowed to always sound like THEM because it's what makes them great.
AC/DC, Metallica, Pantera, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Linkin Park, and a LOT of these OG bands across genres always sounded like THEM, and that's why they're as big as they are. They're not a copycat, and nobody else copies them nor can they if they even tried. Uniqueness is what every band should strive for.
ERRA are masters of ambience in the back of the mix that fits their songs so well that it allows the song to have it's own atmosphere, their production is top-notch. Not to mention the catchy and groovy riffs for the guitars AND the bassline, as well as the amazing vocals from Jesse and JT. They're a great band.
I'd love to see what music the people who say that about ERRA listen to. A lot of artists make similar sounding music to themselves, huge surprise. I think it's just people trying to FIND something to talk shit about, because with ERRA there's very little TO talk shit about.

Yeah man, comparing bands, as Architects had their trademark BLEGH!, fans are tired of that, they dont incorporate bleghs on For those that wish to exist and The classic symptons, fans said that they sell out, and with Seeing red, is the return of bleghs fans acclaim that, so, i dont know what fans expect, bands try new things on their sound or try the old things in a different sense thaat sounds great.
The riff before the breakdown that you were thinking of was very reminiscent of House of Glass from their last album

Neon and Drift were what made me love ERRA. But the self-titled made them my most-listened band. I think they created a masterpiece with their last album. This one is shaping up to be an absolute gem as well.
Absolutely gorgeous song, this one is my all-time favourite by them. Erra have managed to remain unique and create this BEAUTIFUL ambient soundscape. And they're in their own league in terms of how they seamlessly transition into breakdowns... it's like they just surprise you with them, yet they aren't misplaced or inappropriate for the song.
I have no idea how anyone can claim they're a band who writes the same song over and over. That is an objectively incorrect opinion.
Sometimes songs take a few listens for me to love but I really enjoyed this one from the start. 3:46 got me with a stank face. Definitely does remind me of northlane at that part
I was opposite this song took forever for me to fall in love with. But now I’m loving it a lot after a few listens.
Drift will always be GOATed
Very Ghost Atlas. Ghost Atlas’ new album is sublime so for Jesse to infuse that creative process here is beautiful.
My favourite track of the three singles it's got that drift vibe with a new edge and I am all for it. Drift is personally my favourite album by ERRA, my favourite songs by them in general are Hourglass and Skyline so it's no shocker that drift is my favourite hahaha. Love this song so much though, been hooked since I heard it for the first time.

ERRA's self titled Album was my favorite. But their recent singles lately have been fantastic. I'm very excited for their album release this year. ERRA has similarities in their songs that keep them "ERRA" at their core. You can always tell it's one of their songs just through the guitar work. Blue Reverie reminds me a lot of Divisionary but much less heavy. Definitely more Ghost Atlas influence coming into this one.
Erra does the same thing? Lol, between this and CURE that argument falls flat on its face.

I think its IMPOSSIBLE for ERRA to make a bad song, I've been listening to these boys for damn near a decade and I've loved about 90% of their songs
You should also check out Jesse's side project Ghost Atlas, which he has recently dropped an album called the Dust of the Human Shape which more post-hardcore and alt-rock oriented
That bit sounds like a mix of Scorpion Hymn and the tool-y bit from House of Glass put together

My favorite album would have to be the Self-Titled or Drift. I slept on them until about 2021 when the Self-Titled came out and then dove deep after that. Definitely one of my favorite bands

There has to be some 10,000 days inspiration in their guitar writing. They have a few different songs, including this one, that have very similar motifs.

I've not heard Pale Iris yet, this track is stunningly beautiful with subdued screaming (reminds me of invent animate), perfectly placed instrumentation and fluidity throughout the song.

I have never understood when people say bands are making the same song over and over again. Those same people are also the first to call bands sellouts when they change it up lol. Erra - Valhalla, I loved that song. I think that's the first Erra song I heard, instantly fell in love with the rest of that album. And then they popped off) Cure still has to be my favourite out of all the new singles out.

ERRA's sound made a pretty decent shift last album, so I dont understand people saying they write the same song over and over. Definitely went from a more straightforward metalcore sound to something way more groove oriented.
Augment all the way. Probably the best or second-best metalcore album of all time, and I will die on that hill. Drift isn’t far behind, but everything these guys make is fucking excellent.

Your thinking of, House Of Glass, that has the ‘Tool Riff,’ kinda similar. But the riff you hear in this song, sounds like Tool as well. Only ERRA could put a breakdown in a melodic ballad.
This is honestly one of my favorite songs I've heard in a while. I love all Erra, but I'm always the sucker for the soft song on the album.

Eventhough i think that JT fits the band sooooo well i kinda miss Garrison (and the music they did back then). With that said: Favorite album will always be impulse followed by self titled

Absolutely love this single. Was not the biggest fan of "Cure" however this single seems to fall in line with the surprise of House of Glass considering it has some of the same feeling. Expecting this album to be spectacular.

I'm just glad they aren't stuck to one sound and are actually changing it up a little bit. Wouldn't be very interesting if they copy pasted their self titled album. Anyways, i love this one and its possibly one of my favorites of theirs.

No such thing as a bad ERRA album , but the Self title is the personal favorite. I have a feeling Cure may be their best album to date. Blue Reverie is a 10/10 track.
