When I was growing up in the Boston and the Spokane, WA area on 40 acre horse ranch, My Mom was raising 6 kids (Dad died early) and could not afford "studded" tires. She used walnut snow tires Doug and Gramps may recall those tires) and taught we kids to drive standard transmissions VERY carefully. It can be done...as you know. --- this is a fantastic vlog and several events of interest and humor kept me laughing. I'm 74 and often enjoy watching the "farmers" and all the 24-hour tricks & treats that keep 'ya bust'n your rumps, I'm sure Doug and Gramps has told you "boyz" some good stories. 😃👋👩🌾
Had to wait til the end to hear the best line! Chet: "Neither one of us would want the job of sittin there and pumpin all day long." Erik: "What do you even mean by that?" Haha classic
I can't believe you guys are still dealing winter. In Northwest Ohio I never had to even put my Boss plow on this year. Not to rub it in but we are so far ahead we planted half our garden. Peas, bees, onions are germinating. I wish you guys warmer weather and sunny skies !
Great video thank you Chet Dougo Eric Broodie you guys do great work and find time to play thank you for sharing and your time was awesome never miss a video and can't wait for next video
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Getting that pump in took a bit. The snow around that inlet was pretty deep. But you got it going. Sounds like some better weather up your way. Know you are ready for that. Busy time getting ready for spring field work. Things will be buzzing soon. Congratulations again to you, Chet and Jean on your engagement!!!’ Happy for the both of you.!!!!! All for now. Take care and be safe. Thanks for everything. The Iowa Farm Boy.
Poor little jeep. Winters been rough on it. The tires also depend on what part of the country it was made for. My Trax came used out of California and didn't have good tires for MN.
Your dad is pretty young. I remember in the late 60s early 70s Gas stations putting orang foam balls on your Radio antenna so Other cars could see you at intersections. Seamed like I road my 1970 292 wide track Aritc
Your brother has a great mall crawler there. I live in southern Ontario on the map you are farther north than we are we do not get the snow we used to but most people still put on snow tires our insurance companies even offer a discount if you run 4 snows. But makes good video content for you.
Great video. Lots of fun and enjoyment watching you guy work. 😂 Actually it’s the joking around with other that makes it enjoyable. I couldn’t help laughing when you and Eric kept falling thru the snow Chet😂. It was funny. 👍❤️
He needs a truck at least for the winter? Y’all jumping around in the snow like Bunny Rabbits are well…very NEWS WORTHY! Great job as always Mr. Dougo, Chet, Big Swede, and Brody(the best detailer around)! Blessings to everyone @LarsonsFarm
Congratulations chet and jean marie, you guy's are pretty funny together, and hope to see you both this year during the farming go time. That was to funny when erik took a step in that snow and it was over his knees, thought he was going down for a second. You guy's are pretty funny together, and brody was a good pick to hire, detail oriented, knows what he's doing, and fits in with the crew like he has been there for year's. G-d bless y'all.
You should buy a receiver hitch with a soft shackle as towing with the tow ball will kill someone if it should break. They are not designed to tow with a rope or sling.
I would assume you could still use studdless nordic winter tyres? They are only a bit weaker than studded tyres on ice and their snow grip is better. I don't know if they make them big enough for your bigger trucks, but for anything else they are a life safer during winter.
MN is like Alaska in the spring also, I lived in Fairbanks for 3 yrs & Anchorage for 2yrs and the spring time roads where just the same. But living on Army bases we would hook hoses to our hot water valve of our washes and Wash as many vehicles as we wanted!
Played golf at the JBER course. nice course. I bet that was a wanted post - just kidding, I don't think it was your guys job to maintain but maybe it was.
Studded are needed to see a huge improvement in snow traction. Get a good snow tire. Test show a 2wd with blizzack tires accelerates and brakes better than a 4wd with summer tires. And all seasons aren't very good either.
Living up in the Adirondacks mountains of northern New York. With4-5' of ground cover and negative temps. I wish I still had My parents to keep their driveway and garage floor cleaned. Chet a set of summer winter tires on Mom's car for Mother's day would be a nice gestor!
They make a tarp type water collector for garage floors when the water gets deep just take a wet vacuum cleaner and clean it odd it keeps the salt off the floor they come in different sizes. They work awsome
Hello Chad, I enjoy watching your program but I would really like to know the date of your videos when you post them so then I can tell how much snow you still have in April my dates here in Canada is April 30. My snow is pretty well all gone but it’s raining so much I don’t know when I’ll get to start planting my crops hoping by mid May.
were a bit spoilt here in oz re ice and snow dont really see that much, you guys work hard to make it all happen.thanks for all your vids, cheers from downunder
Maybe I miss it but would be good if you commented what the date of the videos are to compare to other videos here in Northern England and other US videos
You are quite right it would be wrong to write 'wash me' on Stone's car, it would be much better to write 'Plough me' on it! :P Can't you just get snow chains rather than spiked tiers?
Having lived all my life in Northern Alberta I am a firm believer in dedicated winter tires. You dont really need studded tires unless you have a lot of freezing rain. By the way my winters are packed away for the summer now.
@@jeffjansen582 Winter tires are fine. I drive a rear wheel drive older GM car and use "snow tires". I think it is an old term that was used to describe winter tires. They do make a world of difference. Not sure about chains, if they are legal or not. I lived in Alaska and half the people changed out to studded tires in the winter, but they really do wreck the roads by cutting grooves in them.

😂👍💯
You should make comments of the year! That would be finalist for sure! The thoughts going through Erics mind hahahahhaha
“What do you even mean by that” 😂
Congratulations to you, Chet and Jean Marie! I love spring!
My wife and I have been watching since you guys started the channel. We are so happy to see you doing well.

His videos are 30-45 days behind. They’re currently in the field
Keep up the great work Chet and congratulations on your engagement
Chet, maybe you should change the opening and help bring Spring along quickly for you. Ever since you had snow on the opening you have been under it.
Spring is coming. Fun and exciting days ahead for all.
How many times does the window of the tractor say stone has been stuck this winter? Big Sweede sinking down in the snow was hilarious
Good to see y’all together looks like ya have end finally to the winter wow what a season
My so. Love you guys and love farming and looks up to
Farm tour!!!!!!!!!!
Great video thank you Chet Dougo Eric Broodie you guys do great work and find time to play thank you for sharing and your time was awesome never miss a video and can't wait for next video
Congratulations to you and your future bride! Very happy for you!
Warm February, cold weather in May
Lobby it into the farm program, farmers are allowed to run studs in wintertime.
Congratulations on your engagement there Chet and Jean Marie from South Texas
Winter tires without studs works pretty great to. Summer tires in snow is really bad.
Boy I sure the culverts are open with the great thaw coming
Thank it be a good year to plant rice
When we got our vehicles stuck, my Dad made us figure out how to get them out. We learned fast. :)
Another awesome video guys. Love your whole farm family. You guys are great
Sure would be nice if you could give a date when you make the video so we can compare to southern manitoba.
Martin needs to come over to Dougo"s garage and spruce up the floors shine.
Oh no a boot full of snow 😎
Dam that's hard neck a the woods ☃️❄️. Im in Europe & spring started 2 Months ago, summer will start soon 🌞 🤞

Stone in Ontario and Québec snow tires are cumpulsory. Buy them you will see the difference. Snow banks will fear ya!

Look forward to spring planting.

We've already mowed our yard in Southern Michigan 3 times. Hope she warms and dries up for you guys soon!

That’s not bad, here in the Britain, trucks have inspections every 6 weeks
Hi we have snow tires in Europe that you can drive on all year. Make a two wheel drive go where four wheel drive won’t go!!
Maybe Stone could back into the garage to park? Then he could get a run at the drifts & maybe really get the Ol’ Renegade buried? 😂
It’s amazing how you still have snow in your area and where I live there’s no snow and you and I both live in the same state
Old video
You should buy a receiver hitch with a soft shackle as towing with the tow ball will kill someone if it should break. They are not designed to tow with a rope or sling.
Maybe your brother should get snow tires!! They look like so called all season! Big difference in Canada winters
Magnifique matériel agricole et le matériel agricole 😮😂
That tile drain pump would make a great irrigation well in west Texas. Great video
Brody laughing when Erik sank in the snow 🤣🤣🤣
80 degrees here in west Texas
Great crew
Good stuff guys 👍👍👍
In winter 2007 we had like 6meter snow drifts where i live, thats like 18-20feet
Oh it’s a Jeep?! Well there’s your problem 😂. Just kidding, I like Jeeps too. Get some winter tires little bro 🤙🏻
Dougo, your emperor ( governor ) Tim Walz would say you live in rocks and cows country
Stone needs some Toyo Celsius tires on that jeep
We had 1000 pound semi steer tires on our trucks to help them steer in the Iowa winters!
Snow shoes remember that snow shoes.
I live in Pennsylvania and we didn't get any snow this year..
I would assume you could still use studdless nordic winter tyres? They are only a bit weaker than studded tyres on ice and their snow grip is better. I don't know if they make them big enough for your bigger trucks, but for anything else they are a life safer during winter.
You need to get some all terrain tires on stone and Amy’s vehicals.
Hello from Brisbane, Australia. You guys always have great videos. I always keep my eye out for the new videos. Take care and stay safe.
Just a Cute Ute. Basically an all wheel drive wagon.

Studded are needed to see a huge improvement in snow traction. Get a good snow tire. Test show a 2wd with blizzack tires accelerates and brakes better than a 4wd with summer tires. And all seasons aren't very good either.
Studded aren't needed.
Gotta love the floss'r tucked in the plastic! 😂
Brother that huge white head on you left cheek was as bright as can be lolll don’t worry we all get them
Geess! Even here in Southern NJ I run M&S tires on my Jeep ...just in case I need 4x4.
I don't if u did but u should put never seize on lug nuts and such nice looking chemical trailer looksgreat
Living up in the Adirondacks mountains of northern New York. With4-5' of ground cover and negative temps. I wish I still had My parents to keep their driveway and garage floor cleaned. Chet a set of summer winter tires on Mom's car for Mother's day would be a nice gestor!
Enjoyed the video
You really need real Wintertires.
And back the cars into garage.🚗
I live in Minneapolis with similar weather. I run a fan in my garage all winter, it keeps it dry.
Chet, you would be time and money ahead to buy your brother a better set of tires! It might be close to time to take him out behind the barn 🤔.
Why would he take him behind the barn
Love it when new videos come out🔥🔥
Good evening from where I am at,Steve from Nb Canada ps great video

I was in that area yesterday, and the snow was gone .
It's chet not Chad😂😂
We run studded here in Texas, but most cops don't even know what they are, they just ask why the tires are so loud.
Big sweated down 👇
Congrats 🎊 on your engagement 🎉 oh and I hope that that long lasting pimple will be gone soon, my husband would say it’s ready to pop.

Winter tires are not.
Just studded winter tires
That stated. Studs imo only matter for ice.
Whereas the problem they are facing is snow.
Damn, I don't see how y'all do it! Official Alabama Flake Count for this season: 0
