Amazing location. Love the juxtaposition of old industrial buildings, still bearing the scars of time with modern graphics and signs and the chilled seating areas. And the beers - just incredible. I'm sensing from your Poland vlogs a country that is rapidly growing in confidence and self belief and full of new and innovative ideas. Am I on the right track?
Definitely on the right track there, Rex. Although we also hunt out those places quite frequently, so our view is a little more one sided. Definitely more of the history, monuments, food etc to come in the next 3 or 4 uploads - we've got some great ideas to go and film.
Brilliant videos - we are a family from Christchurch, NZ who will be in Poland for 2 months later this year, thanks for all the info and insight....can't wait to be there it looks amazing.
Hey Jason - that's awesome, always happy to see some other Kiwis here, not many actually follow us. You guys will love Poland :) This is only about our 4th video, but we're around for another month so will have lots more to come.
thanks for the reply guys, we are looking forward to sitting down and watching all of the other vids. BTW, have you seen Moaburger in Krakow yet? (www.moaburger.com/) - We will be living off Polish food as much as we can when we are there, but we will have to check out a "NZ Styled Burger House" just to see what it's like!
I love that episode, I lived my whole life on the other side of Kraków so never hang out around "Dolnych Młynów". Left few years ago, so now I'm watching it from abroad and discover my home city all over again because of You :)
Great Vlog, beautifully shot. Wow!! Krakow has changed a lot, I haven't been back in 15 years. Checking now for flight tickets from Edinburgh or Glasgow to Krakow. I second another post, I love Wrocław, was there in January 2018.
Look forward to future Vlogs. Do you find Krakow expensive? Looks like you are having awesome weather. Off to the beach next in Sopot? Enjoy your trip.
I love that place. My initial weeks in Krakow I stayed right in front of it. Went almost everyday. Hala Glowna is usually open until super late night (4am and so on). Good place for that last call beers, pizza and music.
Thank you for the great video. You do a great job with showing the city, your narration, the cinematography and music. Keep up the good work. I'm coming to Kraków next weekend so thank you for the tips.
Haha we're happy to be unofficial ambassadors for your country - we freakin love this place! But officially? Nooo. Unless the Poland tourism board wants to send us on some sweet adventures :P
Thanks Scott! We've got lots more vids to come mate, you'll be able to get a good feel for what there is to do and pick and select what you want. You're gonna love Krakow.

Sorry I haven't been commenting recently bro haha, Im always watching ! oh yeah i'm soon to the end of your book, its been great so far and its given me so many ideas of how I could prolong travelling in the future! ill give full review when i'm done!
All good man, glad you're still watching along and enjoying. Hope we're able to show a few countries/spots that are underrated and you can hope to pretty easy from home for cheap!
Gee! I love your Vlogs, look forward to it everyday. But this one, OMG! can't go wrong with Beer and pizza, now you made me hungry and thirsty and I only just finished lunch!
Nice one ! I was looking forward to the “clubs” bit but didn’t see any footage so assumed it’s from the outside ? Looks like a great spot the tobacco factory area ! Enjoy Poland as there’s so much to see incl it’s surrounding countries like Eastern Europe , Estonia , Latvia etc.. if you guys make it out there . Anywhere else in Poland you will be checking out ? Warsaw , Łódź , Bialystok ? All cool places and also a few further up close to the water is nice too !
Went to Krakow from London last month. Very safe place no police or to be scared of any terrorism. Pure Europe high 🏨 standard good prices and quality of a food i was surprised that everything looks new . 300 churches 100 museums 2000 clubs and pubs (8 english) 26 uni 400 000 students amazing score
Some Polish pronunciation tips: Ł sounds like English "w" in English "we" W sounds like English "v" or "f" (in some cases Polish voiced consonants are pronounced voicelessly) SZ/CZ/RZ are English sh/ch/zh (RZ can be also pronounced as "sh" - see the note above) RZ=Ż (in like 95% cases) Ó=U (English "oo") CH=H (roughly) Ź is soft Ż (can be also pronounced voicelessly as Ś) and Ć/Ń/Ś are soft CZ/N/SZ Ą is Polish (semi)nasal "O" (not nasal "A"!) and Ę is Polish (semi)nasal "E" L is NOT English dark semivowel; it's just light consonant as in English "light" I is English "ee", but is also "softener" mark (and if there's another vowel following, it's just softener) Y is always English short "i" G is always English "g" as in "go" DRZ/DŻ are trigraph/digraph being pronounced like English G in "George" DŹ is soft equivalent for DRZ/DŻ; can be also pronounced voicelessly just like Ć .. and that's it! Piece of cake! (OK, lat's say it's Polish cake, eg. greasy pączek) :D Now try "weźże" ("take it" with strengthening particle/suffix "-że") and "Łódź" (with voiceless "dź" at its rhyme/end) ;-)
Unfortunately, this place ( Dolnych Mlynów )w ill be closed and rebuilt in next 2 years. Some of bulidings will be demolished. Some spanish developer want to build there huge hotel.
Oh yes! Dolnych Młynów! Fantastic place, I was there last year - in the night it turns into a clubbing paradise! All those lightbulbs on strings are lit, the buildings are bathed in a purple light, the neons glowing, the music everywhere... and people dancing on the bar counters to Britney Spear's Toxic :D just to let you know - if you want to find a similar vibe in other Polish cities, look up Night Market (Nocny Market) in Warsaw - a literal night market (but with music, DJs and neons) on an abandoned train station (opened on weekends) or the riverbanks of Vistula - like Cud nad Wisłą (A Miracle on Vistula) bar and club which has its own beach! Or iff you ever happen to be in Łódź - it's like Dolnych Młynów, but the whole city :D but especially the famous Off Piotrkowska - with some really great bars and restaurants (I recommend Drukarnia, I had salmon served on gingerbread with caviar there once) Anyway, congratulations on 30 thousand subscribers - 32 thousand now even! Cheers to you :)
So glad that to help! Also, there is a Polish Vodka Museum opening on the 12th of June in Warsaw - located in an old red-brick Koneser vodka factory (Google has their own campus there) - vodka-tasting included ;) and then there is Hala Gwardii - an old market hall which used to host boxing fights and where now you can find vegan burgers and other specialities. And as for Łódź - there is also a planetarium and a science museum in a former Art-Nouveau power station (EC1) and it has the only Unicorn Stable in the world! (a large tram station with a huge colorful stained-glass roof) :)
Krakow is the perfect city for craft beer lovers. Not only Wezze is a crazy bar. You got the SPACE Craft Pub, Omerta, Ursa Maior, Miejscowka, House of Beer, Multi Qlti Tap Bar, Strefa Piwa, BroPub by Brokreacja, Craftownia, Viva la Pinta, Tea Time, Beer House. The most of them all in the old town! In the city i live in Germany right now, which has over 500000 inhabitants we have ONE craft-beer-Store and ONE pub, which is not really a craft beer pub, but sometimes they have some on tap. Come on germannyyyy :(
"Weźże krafta" is a funny name. Weźże is a common phrase that means more or less "so have a..." or "take a..." or "grab a..." in this case it means "so have a (craft) beer". I advise you to see Wieliczka and the salt mine, maybe Zakopane in Tatra mountains. You could see Morskie Oko, the area with 5 lakes (don't know the English name for that) and the great krokiew. It's not that far away from Kraków.
Ah that's quite cool about the name - thanks for clearing that up! Will definitely be hitting up the salt mines :) Hoping to tick off a few others as well!
I am really happy that you enjoy your stay in Poland. In my previous comment I also shoud have added one place to visit. Concentration camp in Auschwitz if you would like to see something thought-provoking. It's 2 hours by bus from Kraków.
I recommend you go to the city beach - google Plaża Kraków (yes, there is a proper beach in the middle of the city with the sight of the castle :)) and there is another edgy place called Forum Przestrzenie just beside. From there you can go to Stare Podgórze (plac Bohaterów Getta in particular) where Schindler's List was filmed
Hi guys! Love the channel, if you loved Cracow, come to Lodz. It's a city that is said to be loved or hated but with a very cool industrial history, lots of different vibes, rich in art and attitude, my city
Dolnych Mlynow is the actual name of the street, not only the conjugated form, and many locals refer to this place as 'Dolnych Mlynow' not 'Dolne Mlyny'.
To anybody watching this particular video in 2020 or beyond - this complex at Dolnych Młynów has now been scrapped. When you visit, you'll likely just see some fancy apartments there or something like that, whatever they end up building in its place.
You cold go for a little walk to Liban's Quarry. It's an abandoned quarry just next to Krak's Mound. It may sound a bit scarry, but actually, it's perfectly legal and safe to go down there. It's where Shindler's List was shot. If you stumble upon some wooden posts with barbed wire on them, or a pathwalk made of Jewish tombstones - it's a part of movie's scenography. To get down to the quarry, you need to get to the mound, which is fairly easy. When up there, search for a path along the cliff heading away from the mound. After about 150 meters, the path splits. You should take a sharp turn right. The path will gently drop to the bottom of the quarry. You could also get there from Swoszowicka street if you're willing to take a cab. Have fun! goo.gl/maps/TwAn5PBLHdD2
Haha just the sort of place people would visit for the purpose of (of just because it looks good while there) photos for their Instagram. It looks cool.
Weźże krafta? Sorry, I guess it`s impossible to you to pronounce :) It`s regional dialect for "take a craftwork beer". To pronounce "weźże" you have to say something like that: vesh-zhe". But that "sh" is something between "sh" in "wish" and "s" in "sure".
Trust me, been there several times and it's very average. There's a great vegan restaurant just 200m from that one called Pod Norenami, If you'll ever go to Krakow- I strongly recommend it :)
This place will be destroyed in less than 2 years. I can assure you this is trendy place but very average for Kraków - there are far much better places.

Some Polish pronunciation tips:
Ł sounds like English "w" in English "we"
W sounds like English "v" or "f" (in some cases Polish voiced consonants are pronounced voicelessly)
SZ/CZ/RZ are English sh/ch/zh (RZ can be also pronounced as "sh" - see the note above)
RZ=Ż (in like 95% cases)
Ó=U (English "oo")
CH=H (roughly)
Ź is soft Ż (can be also pronounced voicelessly as Ś) and Ć/Ń/Ś are soft CZ/N/SZ
Ą is Polish (semi)nasal "O" (not nasal "A"!) and Ę is Polish (semi)nasal "E"
L is NOT English dark semivowel; it's just light consonant as in English "light"
I is English "ee", but is also "softener" mark (and if there's another vowel following, it's just softener)
Y is always English short "i"
G is always English "g" as in "go"
DRZ/DŻ are trigraph/digraph being pronounced like English G in "George"
DŹ is soft equivalent for DRZ/DŻ; can be also pronounced voicelessly just like Ć
.. and that's it! Piece of cake! (OK, lat's say it's Polish cake, eg. greasy pączek) :D
Now try "weźże" ("take it" with strengthening particle/suffix "-że") and "Łódź" (with voiceless "dź" at its rhyme/end) ;-)
This is amazing Dariusz, thanks for this! Saving for later so we can reference back to it!
Great video, hope you enjoyed visiting Poland
We did :)
Great video! btw where can i get these sunglasses?!
Hey mascull, you can check all our equipment, gear and stuff we use daily on our site- danegerandstacey.com/our-equipment/ Thanks for the comment 🤘🏼

If you're interested, the pronunciation on "Dolnych Młynów" goes somewhere along the lines of Dull-nih Mwin-oof :)
Great vlog !
I heard good things about the vodka tastings in Krakow.. please do a video on it!
Sorting out dates now, it's gonna happen in Warsaw 🍾
Now explain ladies and gentlemen how to pronounce ź and ż. XD
here you are yt channel: learn Polish with Monika. she has videos how to pronounce those sounds :)
I recommend you go to the city beach - google Plaża Kraków (yes, there is a proper beach in the middle of the city with the sight of the castle :)) and there is another edgy place called Forum Przestrzenie just beside. HAvent head about this little beach set up - will look into it!
I just read that they closed it down this season :/. That's unfortunate because the place was awesome, they even had a pool on a barge...
Have you guys already tried zapiekanka?
Not yet, no! But we found the circular area in Kazimierz that is really popular but we'd just smashed 20 Pierogi!
That pulled pork sandwich looked divine. Was it good?
hi daneger and stacey i like this video i enjoying to watch i hope you always safe takecare both if you from p.h
Thank you as always!!
It's 'WEŹŻE KRAFTA' copy in translator and listen. It will blow your mind. But this is the correct pronunciation :P
Woooh thats crazy
I know. Polish
translate.google.pl/#pl/pl/weźże
"come on take a craft" I would say :)
You chose the best one - pulled pork! I Love it as .........................!
Woooh it was so good!
Hi guys! Love the channel, if you loved Cracow, come to Lodz. It's a city that is said to be loved or hated but with a very cool industrial history, lots of different vibes, rich in art and attitude, my city
🍕🍺🍻 Love it ☺👍👍👍
🍕🍺Best combination!
This must be in PodGrusa? Across river from castle?
Looooooooooooooooooooove ur videos . . Any plan to Middle Eastern Countries . . ?
Thanks so much - we looooooooved your comment :) No plans as of just yet, but EVERY where is on our list haha
"Dolnych Młynów" is a conjugated form of original name. You should rename it to "Dolne Młyny" (Lower Windmills).
Had no idea until the comments!
Oh that's so sad!! Thank you for letting people know what's happening in 2020!
How much were the beers?
Whoops - we always (try) to add prices, but completely forgot with those. They were 10 zl each, so about $2.70 USD for 500ml.
Daneger and Stacey no worries, thanks mate. Appreciate it
Guys have did you visit forum? :)
Yup: ua-cam.com/video/Qf1qxRUmM7Q/v-deo.html

To get down to the quarry, you need to get to the mound, which is fairly easy. When up there, search for a path along the cliff heading away from the mound. After about 150 meters, the path splits. You should take a sharp turn right. The path will gently drop to the bottom of the quarry. You could also get there from Swoszowicka street if you're willing to take a cab. Have fun! goo.gl/maps/TwAn5PBLHdD2

Haha just the sort of place people would visit for the purpose of (of just because it looks good while there) photos for their Instagram. It looks cool.

You have to go to the Schindler musuem
Weźże krafta? Sorry, I guess it`s impossible to you to pronounce :) It`s regional dialect for "take a craftwork beer". To pronounce "weźże" you have to say something like that: vesh-zhe". But that "sh" is something between "sh" in "wish" and "s" in "sure".
in Poland the best craft beer in Europe..
and now it is closed forever :( they are building international hotel there :(
Nooooo! :(
I would have liked to have seen you explore the vegan place, too. That is something that is important!
