Indeed. This for me is punk. I was to young to be part of the punk scene. I am 47, but was born in the 'punk era' though I remember the punk in the early 80s. I was 15- 16 when I discovered the pistols. Remember this Anarchy in the UK video from the swindle movie. And 'Anarchy ' here i think really capsulate what it was all about. It was the beginning of the british punk scene. Look at the fans pogoin.. There were no moehawks, no jackboots or spikey leather jackets. Though some may have adopted it,but not as a "uniform" yet . Basic D.I.Y here. Hair cut short ,( colored) with slogan sh ripped t shirts. Not to mention ties, whitch I also were a punk outfit . It's kind of funny if you noticed the people in the background, watching the punks pogo. It seems that they are shocked of what they are seeing, and by looks of them it seems more likely that they belong at a ABBA concert.. And antoher thing that comes to my mind is, that people here knew that they were part of history? And I wonder if they still are around today, watching this. I hope they are. Look at the punk in the video at 01.37 . I remember when I saw the for first time, he looked so cool. But he seems he got a face injuire..
Corporations closed the generation gap. More revenue to sell one product to all people. You have children and adults listening to the same music watching the same movies..dont be a sheep
Great era , I would have loved to have visited London back then, and gone to a Sex Pistols show.
