Does anyone else have a hard time balancing whether or not to push yourself out of your comfort zone? Let me know below 😊
Yes. But deep down I wish I could be like others and be within my comfort zone Happily but since I’ve been enlightened years ago, it has been a challenge.
I think it’s just finding your tribe of people that helps you be yourself. Life is hard when you’re a perfectionist and always staying in tune with this crazy world. I’m sure you’ll find you way though!! Keep pushing whenever you can!!❤
I'm a 100% disabled Marine Corps veteran....currently raising 6 grandchildren....i hear ya...keep pushing.
thank you so much for your service! that sounds rough, keep pushing as well 😊
@@kayxsol Amen. May God always keep you in His perfect peace.
Bless you and your grandchildren 🥰🕊️
@@wildeevolution Thank you so much, great channel by the way! I just subscribed ❤
So my advice would be, have clear intentions and a goal for WHY you want to try the new thing...If it's something you REALLY want, then you'll keep yourself encouraged to achieve said goal (like starting your channel). I've personally gotten to a point where it's kinda like mind over matter, and you just have to focus on the positives OVER the negatives. I'd work on positive self-talk and healthy tools to self soothe while you do something new that you're feeling anxious about. I hope this makes sense ❤ great video, love.
knowing the why is huge, that is great advice Cat! it's funny cuz I know I will undoubtedly continue my youtube channel despite all the anxiety it causes. but like hanging out with new people is the hard situation i was referring to haha but i truly admire your mindset! positives over negatives, i feel like i've gotten quite used to that mindset as well. thank you for the genuine advice, i appreciate you Cat! 💛
@squigglydoo My absolute pleasure girly 🤭. Apply the same method to hanging out with people, too, though! WHY, are you forcing yourself to hang out with people who clearly are stressing you out, love??? I don't allow anyone in my space or around my energy I'm not 💯 cool with... If they are not going to leave me feeling amazing and with a full cup, I will gladly show them the DOOR. Whoever you're trying to hang out with is clearly NOT your cup of tea... You have to be your own advocate girl. We are not in the season of doing ANYTHING we don't genuinely and wholeheartedly WANT TO DO. Doesn't matter who it is! You gave me a content idea too, girl, so thanks for this conversation 🤭😅🙏🏽. Just say, "I'm good on hanging out, thanks, tho n ya'll have fun" 🤗. Don't let anyone disturb your PEACE girl! I will definitely make YOU my Honorable Mention for this video, too😅💜💛.
@ it’s meeting new people that’s stressing me out and makes me really anxious. But I know I want to develop deeper connections and meet new people. I think it’s more a quantity thing and I should meet up with new people maybe once every 2 weeks, that sounds more doable than what I’ve been doing the last couple weeks haha but I don’t let people into my circle and I’m very intentional about who I keep in my life as well ❤️ thanks for looking out for me!! So grateful we have met online, Cat! And lol! I’m glad you got a content idea 💡☺️ can’t wait to see what you will create!!
@squigglydoo well if it's genuinely people you know mean you well and they have great energy to be around, just take it in and embrace it. Set small goals every month and give yourself grace. I appreciate you, youtube algorithm definitely worked for us! 🤗💜
keep up the good work, you are making progress. In a couple of your previous videos you were obviously shaking kind of bad, but in this video you seem a lot more relaxed and sure of yourself. I am 66 and have suffered from anxiety for most of my life. I didn't realize what is was until i was about 40. Being a man you really can't say I'm physically fit but afraid to do simple things. I have been on and off with therapy and meds. Right now i just do the meds and lots of prayer and faith. Faith in God and reading the bible has really helped me a lot. Knowing that there is a higher power gives me hope. I take the meds because i would find myself feeling anxious for no reason at all. So now i take a pill a day along with faith in God and I'm doing well, not cured but doing well. So keep up the good work.
uh oh i was shaking kind of bad 🤣 haha but I'm glad you are seeing progress being made, that is what matters to me! I'm sorry you have suffered for anxiety most of your life as well, it can be so debilitating. I'm really glad you have found something that has worked for you! I agree, knowing there is a higher power gives me hope as well. I hear you on being anxious for no reason, and I'm glad the meds quell your anxiety! overall, glad you are doing well. take care, and thank you for your support ❤️
I feel like exposure therapy is magical but you have to truly want to be participating in whatever you are saying yes to. Which can become tricky with anxiety I know. I consistently force myself to do things that make me anxious but they are only things that align with me and that I truly want to do. Idk if that even makes sense 😂😂 thank you for sharing your vulnerability with us!❤
yes it is tricky with anxiety forsure haha I just want to say no all the time, but that isn't a good habit for me long term. Thank you for sharing, I love that, you push yourself with only things that align with you and what you genuinely want to do! I feel like UA-cam falls into that category for me. But for like hanging out with new people... something that sounds so much easier... is so much more difficult for me 🤣
My anxiety is directly affected by my diet. If I’m feeling particularly bad one day, I look at what I ate the day or week before that might have triggered it. Back when my anxiety was very severe (because I was eating processed foods) it was always something with MSG or food coloring that would trigger it. I only eat Whole Foods now so my anxiety is almost non-existent compared to what it was. But if I do get a little anxiety and brain fog, it will be because I’ve eaten carbs, like fruit and sourdough bread, too many days in a row,
Have you noticed yourself getting triggered by food at all?
I’m so happy you’re taking time to listen to what your body is telling you and learning to take care of yourself. Why push yourself if it’s only going to lead to more trauma? Being kind and gentle with yourself is the other side of the coin that is just as important as the kind of fuel you are consuming. 🥰
hm I normally don't eat processed foods, and I haven't found any patterns with food causing anxiety.. but I also haven't paid too much attention to diet vs anxiety. I will definitely keep this in mind, I appreciate you sharing that!
and exactly! we have to be kind to ourselves and do what is best for us ❤️
Thank you, this is very encouraging. New sub here
Welcome! thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. your support means a lot to me! glad you found this encouraging ❤️
