@ inheritance tax on farm land. 20% of the value of farm. Land prices in the uk are crazy high (which has no benefit to a farmer when you farm it). 400 acre farm will have to pay over £1 million. Also taxing fertilizer imported in (we import 90% of it because they closed them down) but not taxing imported food… I could go on
I thank God for all the farmers like you. I pray he blesses you with a great harvest as you have truly invested a lot of time and money into your crops. God bless all of our farmers.
With the help of machines, we can work less hard and create more productivity for farmers like us. However, I hope that agriculture will have more breakthrough developments. What do you think?
Hello from Portugal. Congratulations on the channel, I love watching your videos even more when your children help you and it's beautiful to see the desire they have to help. May God bless your family🙏🙏
Zac is busy with one combine; I don't know how those people in a video I watched of a farmer harvesting corn were doing it. He was using a JD x9 with a 24 row header. At the speed he was moving, the cart driver could barely keep up with unloading the combine and filling the trucks. The cart held more than the trucks, so they were really moving trucks in and out of the field.
That pink and blue horizon under the full moon is known as the "Belt of Venus". The dark blue sky under the pink glow is literally the Earth's shadow extending out into space! Pretty cool when you think about it!
Zach, consider a glider kit for your next truck. Chassis with complete cab and interior and steer axle only. You suppply the engine, transmission, drive shafts and rear axles. With heavy trucks the engines have years too. As far as I know you could have a ‘25 chassis and a 2013 overhauled engine. (I believe that was the year before DEF requirement). Just a thought.
Hey I see sky’s like that often but it’s still absolutely gorgeous the moon in the sky it does not get any better than that. Absolutely beautiful. And I can’t believe the windows when you wash them. Holy cow didn’t realize they were that dirty but my God they were.
claas combines have dust suction in the feeder house, that dust where u coulnt see would not be a problem!!!!! weve been running claas for 12 years and love them more every day,and know that there the best !!!!
The tech in the equipment now is super cool being able to operate the tractor from the combine. I'm sure there is farmers that do Silage that wish they could link to the forge trucks from the harvesters.
Hey Mate. Those C shanks are probably breaking due to metal fatigue. If you have someone around with a microscope that you can use. Look for micro cracks on the bend of the C shank . Those that have broken look for crystallization. We have this happen with dozer shanks often.
Zach please spread the word of what is happening in the UK right now with the government ruining family farms like your own. Inheritance tax on land, tax on imported fertilizer but not imported food are just to name a few! Desperate times across the pond 😢
Having to pay inheritance taxes, just like all other biz? Surely there are ways to structure said legal organizations to be owned by family trusts, thus the trusts exist no matter who is alive or dead?
@@Padoinky fortunately most other businesses do not need multi million pounds to return 2% on investments hence why it hasn’t been in place for multi generations as it isn’t sustainable. im not fully sure on the exact details of trusts as a few things have been said but I don’t believe it is as simple as that.
Our sunset in Oklahoma tonight looks very similar to the one that you just experienced in your video. Hope the yields are staying strong. good luck with the rest of harvest and stay safe.
Try looking into Glider trucks. Most are Freightliner or Peterbilt but they are generally newer trucks with pre emission engines. There's a 2015 Coronado in the Hector, MN area that the company I work for put a glider kit in with the good ol Detroit S60.
Sorry Zack, I laughed at the actor who plays you when the ripper lost two more shanks! I love the look the actor who plays Jim gave your actor when told of the missing discs! Oscar material here!
Nice to see back in your combine Zack and yes them windows needed a clean and them round sprung arms must become brittle over time keep bending back and forth but have to say you had plenty brake recently wishing you a nice rest and catch you again in the next video
If you are sticking with kenworth go for W900 if you want peterbuilt get either 379 or 389 around late 90s or early 2000s that would widen your semi search awesome videos keep it up excellent content
12:54 that would be another cool shot for Becky to create a sunrise / Sunset / Moon compilation - for the times with Little Action… really appreciate your way of storytelling and genuity. Keep up the Great work end Congratulations for a smooth harvesting Season.
Actually its more efficient to clean headland on one side of the field with two combines then snap your line on a seven degree angle then nibble at the other headland as you cut blocks down the field keeps your cart going
Broke an arm off a hay tedder and started shaking like a dog. But when we searched for it, never did find it. 3 years later and still nowhere to be found. Checked fence rows for hundreds of feet, used a metal detector...nothing.
Give the stunt double a pat on the back for todays performance! That was really convincing how he improvised not wanting to get his hands dirty when lifting that disc.
The dust in the late afternoon sun is a real problem . The combine I've been running doesn't have auto steer, so I just watch the top of the stalks. If they jerk left, I steer a bit right and visa versa. Heck I was chisel plowing this afternoon and had a 'sun in the dust' problem for a while.

Dart got a bunch of gliders... Before they stopped letting that happen...Totally the way to go. Ya it's a Freightliner but the series 60 is still the best of the electrical engines. Then the EPA made half life trucks
Zach, ever consider using a California car duster on your windows? Works like a charm on our combine, saves you having to use window cleaner and paper towels all the time.
I had the same problem with the same truck hauling corn in Nebraska I put a pantyhose over the inlet it seemed to solve it alls I had to do was when I check my oil every morning was just not the corn stalks and stuff off try it out works pretty good
Other than a few rocks breaking the ripper it seems to be a pretty uneventful harvest this year. Breaking ripper parts seems a lot less stressful than burying a combine in the mud.
If you put a pice of window screen over the air intake the big stuff will stop there and fall off each time you turn it off. It won’t stop the air or the dust but it will stop the chaff and leaves…
Zack, have you considered whether the C-shanks that are breaking so frequently might have a manufacturing defect? If they weren't forged correctly or heat-treated correctly they could be less rock resistant (ie made from weaker or more brittle steel) than the ones which aren't breaking. Look for mold marks to see if the broken ones are perhaps all from the same lot and/or from the same factory.
I drank lmnt and im a welder and it works really good. It keeps me charged and going plus i sweat buckets because being a welder is extremely hot. It gets 120 degrees in the shop.
I saw a grain cart for sale and asked my dad if we could get that so i have somthing to drive but he said that we didn't need it on the 100 hectares barly But like we don't need it cause we don't even drive 2 miles to the dropoff with the wagon.
Use droan to find lost parts. In 1966 wegot J.D. 106 pull type combine. Not put together very good. J. D. slogan was the "Long Green Line". Didn't take us long to figure what that meant. J.D. parts all over the field.
How about some pre- chinese steel implements? Chinese feilds don't have rocks they used them building a giant wall to keep the bandits out. Nice sunset, looks like it does here in Oregon when its not cloudy or rainy or foggy or smokey or.
I'm surprised they haven't come out with some sort of wind system for the windows to clear out the dust. Some sort of Wiper like contraption that shoots compressed air at an angle to blow away the dust. Wouldn't make them squeaky clean, but probably good enough to keep going.
I remember taking in broken blades to jd and getting free replacement blades, from manufacturing defect . I've never seen parts like danish times or the c break at a angle. There might be something there
