There definitely is something that we can't explain - that our limited brains simply cannot fathom - and THAT is what people call "God". God is nothing more than everything we can't explain. However, believing that there was any kind of sentience or greater will behind it, is just plain stupidity.
I believe that trying to understand the unfathomable is a sign of stupidity. You have to try to find rational answers, not childish excuses that make good bedtime stories.

Its great seeing how much fun Conan and his writer have with this sketch. I always thought it would have been amazing if Conan had the question on cue cards but the writer could just improve after he gives the real answer. Get an honest reaction and laugh out of Conan which would have been hysterical.

Conan's shows always hold a special place in my heart. When I was younger, right after high school, I got a job at a factory working really hard labor. When I got home at night, I would be drenched in sweat and smelling like chemicals. Conan was the first thing that I would watch when I got home exhausted. The monologue would always make me laugh and sort of get everything to stop spinning. Then after the monologue and opening bit, I would take a shower, some food, and then be in bed by the time the tail end of the show came around. it was my little ritual.

Damn, I wish this thing was real. Sure, not for kids, but adults would have a fun time with that. xD
It's real, however it probably doesn't use as much expression. It probably uses some Microsoft SAM or Siri program.
It's real. It even remembers your name and records your personality traits (likes, tastes, etc) to create one of its own and match it to yours.
It uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone and the WikiBear app in order to get answers. However unlike the bear shown in this video the answers would be edited in order to be appropriate for children.

If you watch enough Conan you can tell he's one of the biggest students of the Civil War probably in America. He idolizes Lincoln and references him constantly, as does he reference the Civil War and various people who fought in it. He did at least three Civil War themed sketches (one is quite literally the Civil War re-enactment sketch, one is him playing Civil War era baseball, and one is where he goes to the Lincoln impersonator place) and in this sketch as well as plenty of others we get information about the Civil War in one way or another. In this case I bet he's the one that gave the WikiBear that specific idea in the writer's room or whatever.
