Thank you! I used to do similar with text in Blender, and that was a nightmare. MatterControl is under-rated for modeling, and this is a great addition.

Perfect simple and just what I was looking for for my kids 3d printer
I have been looking for something like this since I bought my 3D printer. I used to know 3D studio Max because I learned it in school but it's been ages and it's long gone from my brain. This is freaking amazing because I am more a hands-on artist than a 3D designer

So that's the software that 3D printing uses - so simple and amazing.
Lots of possibilities to use this for
tried it with a more complicated picture. turned out to be useless. the picture was black and white. just as you used. but it had gaps 0.5mm wide. this finctuon only for very simple images.

Great video, thanks, this really helps me out with a project I have been working on. Is there a way to invert what is the model and what is the empty space? Basically the lego would the empty space and the area around it would be solid. Kinda like a stencil. I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!
Anyway to.. for exmaple if you have a photo with 4 colours, anyway to possible raise each colour seperatly to different levels? sorry didnt quite know how to explain

Yeah, im trying to make a replica handle for my Miter saw, if there's a way to mesh both sides of a model together to make one whole proper model i'd love to know.
I’ve been struggling to make a 3D print of the technical side view of the Enterprise D, as seen in engineering. Perhaps this program will make it much easier.

When finding an image does it have to be an certain file name
It worked great,but I couldn't get the file to open in another program.
Can u get the colors from the image?
I put in a symetrical picture, and the edges turn out wrong. The picture is completely sharp but the output is always quirky. I dont know what i do wrong.

How is that “any image” when you specifically searched “silhouette”? This isn’t any image into 3D. It’s not even a difficult 2D image to 3D. Not a good advertisement for your software.
