You'd be amazed at the number of BB players who ignore the AP spamming DD parked next to an island to instead shoot your BB, giving you a chance to farm their entire HP pool to 0, or the oblivious torp DDs who come round a corner at 3km and find you waiting.

Innovate the game developers, take heed to the great PQ. One of the best pieces of advice I heard in the last year about how to balance carrier/hybrid spotting, is to make it spot only on the mini-map, and not provide a target to lock onto. That would make the game far more interesting, at the very least. What about a DD consumable that acts like a Faraday Cage, preventing radars from working slightly, allowing only occasional glimpses of the ship that's being radar'ed. Counterplay is extremely important in every competitive game, League of Legends/Wokecraft, every strategy game out there, but there's no counterplay to speak of in Warships... only 'run away and pray you go dark'.
30:51 This is actually a really good take on Warships that every type of player could agree with. No matter if you’re a BB player or a CV player WG has made design decisions that’re just God awful (even in the CVs case, they balanced MvR by making the dive bombs complete RNG, instead of rewarding skill in the hardest CV to play). Team balance and the skill gap is another massive issue, which ultimately led to me leaving the game. It’s a team based multiplayer strategy game with no way to really choose your team or actually speak and communicate to them effectively. I’m 28 and I just don’t have the time these days to sit down and have my fun be determined by RNG and spreadsheet balancing in every way.
Hayate is Japanese Gearing, I think PQ has a video on it just not long ago. Not sure about Groningen, but it's similar enough to Sherman that you can judge with PQ's video on that ship. As for Agir and Azuma... well, they are supercruisers, so I personally didn't enjoy them because how low of a team impact they have in randoms, but I'd also appreciate a video from PQ.
I dont even need/want a long form 20-30 minute video on each one of them, just a short little 3-4 minute overview of positives and negatives of the ships and recommended playstyles as well as any non premium ship that plays similar to them for reference.
I think two things would vastly improve carriers in this game: 1. Spotting from planes only gives an outline on the mini map. Similar to spotting during storms. 2. Change the aircraft firing mechanics so that when you go in for a strike you can no longer control the planes. Carrier players will have to lead their strikes, similar to how Dutch cruisers do it, but not so long a delay before the strike hits. CVs will have to use skill, just like every surface ship player has to use skill, when aiming their salvos. Also it would allow the target ship to attempt to evade, and have it actually matter. Additionally wargaming can adjust how fast a strike happens and kind of treat it like shell velocity, giving them another variable to make carriers feel unique from one another.
Love how the Louisiana drop pattern is the circle drop rather than the oval like all other American bombers do, that way any potato can pick it up and shit on you from any direction. Just dodge btw
The nebraska line drops bombs better than my VIII Lexington bomber planes. It's ridiculous, and they hardly have to be even dropped accurately, even on a horizontal destroyer. It's obscenely overpowered, and requires hardly any skill at all. No counterplay.
What UI player panel are you using? it looks really clean. The commander build you showed for Vamp II is the exact same build I use on the Daring since they are both the same ships other than it doesnt have rear guns. The extra AP damage is really nice so its the reason why I use it on the daring so I can chunk targets with it.
This video was really helpful. The Druid really appears to be a one trick pony and, to be honest, is a bit boring and limiting given the lack of torps and HE. I certainly won’t be parking my Marceau to play this one. Thanks for showing the ship ‘warts and all’ instead of cherry picking the good parts.
That's what most DD games are like now-adays. Which is why less people are playing them, and why people zerg one side and clump up their AA together. Very uninspiring gameplay. Not fun at all, and not strategic at all. It's obvious, more numbers vs less numbers = victory for that side. BORING. It also doesn't mean victory for the game, but just short-term victory against lower number of enemies. Uninspiring... uninspiring.
As someone who's lost BB turrets to Destroyer HE shells, I can confirm its probably a bug lmao. The armor model in this game gets more and more broken with how out of sync the server and client are. I'm pretty sure half the time shells are just ignoring armor because the game isn't doing enough checks.
PQ, I am grateful for showing us that you too suffer from oppressive ships. It means it's not my lack of skills that causes me to suffer from subs, CV's and now these new hybrid BB's.
I remember the first time I came across a druid. I was in my Mino, he was nose on. Great he cant torp me, so I came around the Island full broadside to it, confident in my ability to just devastate it. Yeah didnt work out so well for me......those shells slap!
As a Druid main all I can say is: Indeed. :D 9460 damage per salvo every 1.3s or so depending on AR. One of my hobbies is hunting down CLs (especially Minos) who don't know it and putting replays on my channel.
At least he gets consistently good/close games most of the time. My top 3 highest loss streaks for blowouts just this year have been 22 games in a row, 15 games in a row, and 13 games in a row. It’s incredibly rough to stay motivated to play, ngl
Just had a 13 loss streak this week. 10 games with half of the team in the deep 42%s followed by another 3 against more than 1 super unicorn divisions from purple tagged clans. Normal distribution do us bad sometimes. The player skill difference is too diverged while there's not enough players for skill based matchmaking, so we'll have to live with this.
One of the reasons that you are my favourite wows streamer, is that you don't try to sugar coat the problems, you actively call out the bullshit whilst still acknowledging the gameplay, and its rare to find someone that treads the line as well. I find myself in teh same boat, I leave the game for a few months in frustration at the direction of the game, the hybrids, the superships, the subs, but at the end of the day I still really enjoy the core gameplay. I am currently on another longer break, but I know I'll be back because I keep getting excited by your content. I just wish there was a way to express that dissatisfaction of the direction of the game to those who matter because as you've said, the people we are allowed to talk to probably already know it.
Literally every game is a blowout these days. I think I'm done with ships for a long while. I've grinded everything I've wanted and now the game is just boring. We had a good run though.
i think with that first game you really need to practice the "what can I do to create the most impact?" and shooting at a bow in yamato was not the play. obviously you have to be wary of the carrier and radar but you still had other options even if it meant trying to rush the halland and heal the dmg you would take and get value elsewhere away from the Schlieffen and Nevsky
Im wondering, why some of your matches hadn't had CV at all. Like in my server you will guarantee to meet CV every match, sometimes two or even 4 CVs in a game.
PQ, if it was my DD who took that position in the early game, I would also get into a kiting position, because I clearly cannot count on my DD providing any vision(or honestly any value at all in this case), so going aggro against a -comparable- superior enemy force seems... dodgy, lets say dodgy. Nobody can be expected to always be perfectly positioned, but I fully understand why your teammates did what they did.
I want to ask something, should i spend my 25% coal ship discount on Lazo/Duke o york or just ignore the coupon and continue saving the coal for a higher tier coal ship? My only premium ships are emden and repulse because I'm quite new in this game (not really, already knew it for years but didn't get a chance to play it till last Christmas)
I would say just ignore the coupon and get something better later, preferably a tier X ship. I will also do this since I took a break from the game and just coming back now. I'm aiming to get either Hayate or Tromp.
@@reeizz114 I’ve only been playing 6 months and saved up my coal and got the Iwami. I’m enjoying it so far! Pommern or Salem will probably be my next choice
There is a topic on the WoW forums that discusses the Druid and how it can be better. Overall the Druid has too many cons to make its faster firing guns worth it. No torps, slower speeds, AP only are real handicaps and do not forget there are DDs that can fire faster that have HE and torpedoes. It also only has two guns. Also poor concealment. Its entire rear is wastes on AA. It's pretty much a worse Daring. It just isn't worth it in its current form. It needs a major upgrade.
WG: "We value your input comrades, but we're making so much money ... errr, I mean we keep having "miscommunications" preventing us from implementing any of them."
He already did Colbert. But allow me to share the same message so many haters gave to me when I requested Omaha. "Omaha gameplay is flat and boring. Just another Island camping light cruiser." 😅 They apparently had no idea what they were talking about, because the next video PQ posted was the Colbert, which really is probably more flat and boring then Omaha if played right, because Omaha at least has torps to use. And Colbert is locked away inside the RP prison, meaning less people are going to be able to play it. Omaha is free to play and lots of fun. Vote Omaha.
Blowouts are the result of DDs being the most powerful class of any game ive ever played. They can kill u by scouting. They can beat you by capping. They can wipe you from stealth with torps. THis sends all bbs and ships to the rear..combined with subs…that means ONLY dd wil fight for the win…if your dds dont fight dd u lose….everyone is trying to kill bb…subs carriers dd and cruisers… but basicaly as ships head to the rear the winner of the dd on dd fight settles match..the bb will never push up into the torp walls…ive watched bb divs from clans goto the rear never push despite a 700-100 score. Untill WG recognizes that a good daring player….can win 80-90%…and that dds r too powerful by far in their ability to wipe a bb easily from invisble.. to scout and cap……while bbs can only fire once per 30 secs ….and then get overpens….well the blowouts will continue…because the game is DD and sometimes a good carrier player who worries more about putting planes over dd than torping and bombing bb
i hate when i have these days, but i recognize them now and after 2 games and just go do something else, unfortunately PQ has to stream and can't do the same thing, well he can do whatever he wants but i don't know how to be a CC works. Base player man, and now with 400 games they can get at least 3 T10, thanks WG.
as with life, if you are the one winning, you have fun, the second you start loosing, the complaining starts. Same with WoWs where when you start shitting on people you are the happiest you could be but the second you start loosing you will complain either that its not fair someone of your skill level should be loosing against people or that the game is unfair.
While One Take's are great and valuable, I think potentially more valuable is starting a series of vod reviews where you can elaborate on specific mistakes that a more average player would make. You could explain how to develop plans based on enemy positions/ship compositions in regards to the ship that the person is playing who sent you the vod.
Playing since release there is ALWAYS something to frustrate players. Stealth fire, stealth radar, cv`s, subs, hybrids, russian bias, game bugs, and ect.......ect......... That is the norm for WOWs, nothing has changed except how.
Frustration is intentional. There are lots of psychology studies that show that certain types of people will spend more money thinking the money will help them do better and relieve the frustration. They can't be better players (for whatever reason), so they throw money at the problem.
In order for you to have fun in online games, someone has to suffer. So sometimes you have to suffer for the other person to have fun. And that’s kind of life in general unfortunately
You see... burn out is normal to every online multiplayer PvP games: WoWs, DoTA, CSGO. That's why ... I recharge my sanity by playing offline game or Online Co-op game. Like no joke... my average solo WR is 54% out of 9347 battles, but somehow I managed to get 30% WR with surface ship in this week, like how? I must play CV to literally carry the game and get decent win to finish the daily, yes... daily... how hard it is to win 3 games, right? When I play surface ship, most of the time, I get really bad CV player in which when lose the game, it only gets around 500 bxp When I play CV, i occasionally get DD that's die early and only get around 300 bxp. I said to myself, "Fuck it!" then proceed playing offline game. Peaceful life
Community Managers are there to do nothing but listen, You think you are heard and leave the issue alone for a while. Your goal to get it fixed had ticked the check box, I have been heard. But it ticks the box for the developers, shut them up I do not want to hear them whine.
I have her. Also Puerto Rico and I kind of don't know what to do in this meta. Aircraft carriers and submarines are the problem. When I go to the flank there is a submarine. In general, it's a great ship, but in this meta, I'm having trouble with it...but also with a lot of other ships.

I dont even need/want a long form 20-30 minute video on each one of them, just a short little 3-4 minute overview of positives and negatives of the ships and recommended playstyles as well as any non premium ship that plays similar to them for reference.
I think two things would vastly improve carriers in this game:
SHIP REQUEST: The one and only Okhotnik; the War Canoe.

There are situations I play my Daring as a mini Des Moines / Moskva once I am low on HP. Druid profits way more from this playstyle.
What UI player panel are you using? it looks really clean. The commander build you showed for Vamp II is the exact same build I use on the Daring since they are both the same ships other than it doesnt have rear guns. The extra AP damage is really nice so its the reason why I use it on the daring so I can chunk targets with it.
I just really don't see the point in going for this ship if I already own forrest sherman
They play very differently. I don't want too many other Druids out there though, so stick to Forrest Sherman ;)
You are my favorite CC with "that" game, because reasons ;-)
This video was really helpful. The Druid really appears to be a one trick pony and, to be honest, is a bit boring and limiting given the lack of torps and HE. I certainly won’t be parking my Marceau to play this one. Thanks for showing the ship ‘warts and all’ instead of cherry picking the good parts.
Speaking of super niche ships. My beloved Borodino. Needs some love.
I love the borodino
ZF-6 German DD from the Dockyard. One of my most fav and played DD's.
That 2nd game editing was hilarious but also so sad...fighting for your life to get 15k damage.
Much respect for pushing thru to get a video even tho u didn't have fun.i still appreciate the video 👍
UK DDs especially Lightening onward are very newbie friendly and one of the must play DD lines to new/veteran alike. ^_^
I’ve only been playing 6 months and started up that line a few days ago. Enjoying them so far!
damn excellent video, loved the whole thing!
Would love to see you play IX Agir!
PQ, I am grateful for showing us that you too suffer from oppressive ships. It means it's not my lack of skills that causes me to suffer from subs, CV's and now these new hybrid BB's.
Don't worry, contrary to what the CV mains are coping, no one can counter their stupid class.
I don't let it get to that.
As soon as it hits 5 losses, I'm jumping in OPs for a bit.
Louisiana. Embrace the tilt.
I'm also glad you left it, the reality of wows in 23.
Community Managers listen very well, specially Ahskancer.
Forrest sherman is pretty cool hope to see that
He loves that one, he's played it quite a bit. Go back and check some of the videos.
Literally every game is a blowout these days. I think I'm done with ships for a long while. I've grinded everything I've wanted and now the game is just boring. We had a good run though.
ERIE won a request couple turns ago. Where is the video for this ship?
i think with that first game you really need to practice the "what can I do to create the most impact?" and shooting at a bow in yamato was not the play. obviously you have to be wary of the carrier and radar but you still had other options even if it meant trying to rush the halland and heal the dmg you would take and get value elsewhere away from the Schlieffen and Nevsky
Okay then,i don't know what's good nowadays,so maybe I'll grab pommern or moskva, but I'll be a long way to go because I'm not even a halfway of it
@@reeizz114 I’ve only been playing 6 months and saved up my coal and got the Iwami. I’m enjoying it so far! Pommern or Salem will probably be my next choice
Finally, you are the best. Awesome.😁😀🤗
they just need to make the smoke last about 15 seconds longer being a gun only ship.
Can you make a video on the München, quite an interesting ship.
Would be nice to see a good game with the Seigfried if it is possible
Finally Druid video!! :D
WG: "We value your input comrades, but we're making so much money ... errr, I mean we keep having "miscommunications" preventing us from implementing any of them."
We all know about the Montana and the Ohio, but can you do one on the Iowa? It would be nice to see the differences.
I would love to see u play Vallejo again. See If she got any better
Ha, called it! It WAS an incoming Druid video!
Druid or F.Sherman which one is easier to play ?
I'd say Sherman, better shell arcs, better SAP pen angles and the ability to light fires. Druid gives me the impression of a glorified elbing.
I would like to see Tulsa.
That silence was saying alot!
Daring good - has torps - Druid wtf were they thinking?
Probably, Daka good... more Daka, more good!
i would like to see the Paolo Emilio
Druid is one of my favorite ships! How about some Colbert next?
He already did Colbert. But allow me to share the same message so many haters gave to me when I requested Omaha.
"Omaha gameplay is flat and boring. Just another Island camping light cruiser."
😅 They apparently had no idea what they were talking about, because the next video PQ posted was the Colbert, which really is probably more flat and boring then Omaha if played right, because Omaha at least has torps to use.

I'd love to see the Siegfried t9 German Cruiser
I am once again requesting Siegfried
Do a Leg mod Venezia, it's fantastic!
I did notice in your first two matches you were unfortunately up against the 3 man divisions. Very unlucky. How about a match featuring the Baltimore?
Why not stay with the brits and take out the Incompareable next time, as she wasn't featured that often so far?
i totally agree with the whole pvp multi player games that no one has fun all the time. but wows has way to much frustration
Can you play Anhalt?
i hate when i have these days, but i recognize them now and after 2 games and just go do something else, unfortunately PQ has to stream and can't do the same thing, well he can do whatever he wants but i don't know how to be a CC works.
Also, Wargaming must have been high to introduce hybrids.
The best destroyer design, no HE and no torps
While One Take's are great and valuable, I think potentially more valuable is starting a series of vod reviews where you can elaborate on specific mistakes that a more average player would make. You could explain how to develop plans based on enemy positions/ship compositions in regards to the ship that the person is playing who sent you the vod.
Playing since release there is ALWAYS something to frustrate players. Stealth fire, stealth radar, cv`s, subs, hybrids, russian bias, game bugs, and ect.......ect......... That is the norm for WOWs, nothing has changed except how.
monitör 2k 4k ?
I think you can leave the not-so-good rounds in, I still enjoyed to watch them.
lol 2nd game basically a Louisiana plane strike compelation
All things considered....the hybrids are really really annoying
Not even carriers get to drop 12 bombs at once in a very narrow zone
Frustration is intentional. There are lots of psychology studies that show that certain types of people will spend more money thinking the money will help them do better and relieve the frustration. They can't be better players (for whatever reason), so they throw money at the problem.
Try the Zorkiy please
Marlborough next maybe?
7 smoke consumables?
In order for you to have fun in online games, someone has to suffer. So sometimes you have to suffer for the other person to have fun. And that’s kind of life in general unfortunately
I would be interested a new Shimakaze or Black gameplay ❤
Brawl with Druid 3vs3 so much fun
But why didn't you just dodge or group up to counter the CV? lol
You see... burn out is normal to every online multiplayer PvP games: WoWs, DoTA, CSGO.
That's why ... I recharge my sanity by playing offline game or Online Co-op game.
But I must say that in the last week, it is getting harder to win.
Somehow in this week, I always paired with dented players.
Like no joke... my average solo WR is 54% out of 9347 battles, but somehow I managed to get 30% WR with surface ship in this week, like how?
I must play CV to literally carry the game and get decent win to finish the daily, yes... daily... how hard it is to win 3 games, right?
When I play surface ship, most of the time, I get really bad CV player in which when lose the game, it only gets around 500 bxp
When I play CV, i occasionally get DD that's die early and only get around 300 bxp.
I said to myself, "Fuck it!" then proceed playing offline game.
Peaceful life
Community Managers are there to do nothing but listen,
You think you are heard and leave the issue alone for a while.
Your goal to get it fixed had ticked the check box, I have been heard.
But it ticks the box for the developers, shut them up I do not want to hear them whine.
Devs do hate us
Thanks for sharing! o7
can we plase see alaska pls because i want to buy it but i would like to see if you think it is worth it
I have her. Also Puerto Rico and I kind of don't know what to do in this meta. Aircraft carriers and submarines are the problem. When I go to the flank there is a submarine. When I hide behind the island, CV will find me. Battleships shoot at 22 km and I don't have the range for that. And nobody wants to push into submarines. In general, it's a great ship, but in this meta, I'm having trouble with it...but also with a lot of other ships.
It's amazing how every game he played it got ruined at some point by planes from a hybrid or carrier which completely changed the game dynamic. Crazy how anyone would defend carriers.
IME, Druid was an unfortunate ship of more than a few superlative strengths that has just never enjoyed a favorable meta.
I love this ship so much fun
USS Kidd next please
