Actually probably almost every website started with fake engagement, accounts, likes, or comments. If sites like Reddit never did this to begin with literally no one would of eventually started to use them. It’s absolutely necessary. Just think about it.

I got permabanned for sending a subreddit mod the dictionary definition of Censorship after I received a 3 day ban with the option to talk to a mod.
For context of the initial ban, I said something in my local cities subreddit that I suppose they didnt agree with addressing the homeless issue that is prominent around where I live(a ghetto). I'm left to assume they lived in the suburb of the city, where the politicians like to get summer homes. The permaban further reinforced the irony of sending the definition of censorship to a moderator of a subreddit that claims to be progressive and "pro opinion" - after once already being censored and then finally being "silenced" entirely.
Just kinda found it silly, it takes 5 minutes to make a new reddit account, you dont even gotta confirm an email, they have zero power but must feel like big boys.

I deleted my Reddit 20 minutes ago and it feels like a dark thick cloud has vanished above me lol. I refuse to be on an app where I have to have a hive mindset, while being stripped of my personal rights to express myself on topics that I enjoy. Why anyone would want to be apart of Reddit is beyond words of comprehension 😄.
I used to use Reddit quite regularly. Tried to quit a couple times but always went back. Then I got permabanned, and I actually deserved the permaban. I went off on someone who was being particularly hateful and said some pretty nasty shit that I honestly shouldn't have. Haven't touched Reddit since and I'm honestly glad I got banned.
I feel like the internet will forever be this constant cycle of something new, it being corrupted, it fades, something new comes along, so on

r/politics once was a decent subreddit for civil discussion from all political views. However in April 2016 nearly all the mods at the time were ousted and new mods put in place. Literally overnight it changed into a pro Hillary Clinton anti Bernie Sanders subreddit and once they cheated Bernie out of the nomination it was all anti trump and still is to this day. I was very active on reddit from 2008 to 2018, ended up getting perma banned for something very trivial, never went back after that and don't regret it at all. It's a cesspool of indoctrination.

Reddit removed a comment I made for harrasment, when if they'd bothered to read the thread they would have seen that it in fact wasn't harrasment and myself and the personal I was apparently "harassing" were both in agreement that my comment was misconstrued and not meant as harrasment or slander. Both myself and the other party apologized to each other, me for making a comment that was poorly worded, and her for instantly jumping to that conclusion. We even msged each other after that and had a plesant conversation. Reddit moderators and as bad as the sub moderators. At first I thought saying all mods are neck-beards on a power trip, was an over reaction by some kids who got banned. However after recent things Ive seen on the platform Im kinda starting to agree with the over reaction.

I used reddit for over 6 years and recently got permanently and indefinitely banned off the site. This ban happened because I messaged mods regarding a ban on a specific subreddit. I made a post in a sub about my own mental health struggles (my hopelessness) and the mods banned me from that sub. I made my own thread that was about my own personal struggles. The ban from the sub happened because I responded to a lengthly reply someone gave me about how to completely change my life with "sde seems easier." I struggle with depression and when faced with a lengthly to do list I felt hopeless. When writing this I was only thinking of my own hopelessness. I messaged the mods explaining that the comment I made was not directed at anyone but myself. The mod then started calling me a terrible person suggesting that the original meaning of my comment was for everyone in the entire world to just give up on their lives? The users response was about me and the entire thread was about my own personal situation so I didn't understand who else I was supposedly condemning with 3 words. I clarified extensively that this is not what I meant or intended yet the mod refused to listen. The mod then went on a rant about how even when they were "r a gn point" they didn't tell others to give up on their life. I didn't understand why they were still telling me that I said something that I directly messaged them to clarify I didn't mean nor intend. I told the mod to calm down because they were a mod of a subreddit and I could become a reddit mod myself (I believed that reddit was a place for the people and that anyone could become a mod) or I could just use a different account to post on the sub. The next day all of my accounts were banned over this? I was permanently banned from the entire site after using the site for 6 years without issue. I tried to appeal but they only allow you to submit a very limited message. After submitting an appeal I recieved an automated message saying that I would not be unbanned. I was very upset because I had used reddit for years as a place to freely express myself which is something I've struggled with. Ultimately, I came to the conclusion that I do not want to be part of a forum that muzzles users for messaging mods. In total I sent 3 messages to that mod about my ban in the sub and over that they decided to perm ban me off the entire site indefinitely. I had the exact thought that you made at the begining of the video about corrupt power-bent officers.
Don't worry bro, I been on Reddit for a few months and am already over it. It's such a clown show. Don't feel bad for being ousted from a cesspool.

@@Rocketshoes I agree, what I was trying to say was that while I don’t doubt the powers that be do kill people and rule it suicide, the fact that Aaron had the mental health of someone who will cry in the bathroom at work (not knocking him, I’ve been there) in his case in particular it seems more likely that the stress of the investigation and charges pushed him over the edge than that somebody hack him whacked.

I deleted all my social media a couple years ago, but kept Reddit so I'd have something. Quickly ruined by the people and moderators and deleted that one as well. Now UA-cam is the closest thing to any social media I have to this day.

Lol, they did another black out event over the summer to stop admins from getting rid of some mod tools. Didn't work. My account that I had for years got banned because o was answering someone's question of what the "r slur" is. I didn't even type the word out, but the psycho mod said they knew I was calling someone a slur. When the admins banned my account because I tried to kindly appeal, that ruined reddit for me. I don't post on the app anymore. At least it killed my reddit addiction.
Aaron essentially was the entire reason why reddit became widespread. Without him, we clearly saw the other owners sink into greed and power.
Aaron is truly a modern day patriot who spoke out for free speech.

I never liked Reddit so when I made my account in 2018 I went on with the deliberate goal of pissing off as many mods and getting banned from as many subreddits as possible. I’m banned from over 125 subreddits and it took me a whopping half hour, I haven’t used the account since it was merely an experiment to see how unbearable the platform was, which is completely.
What happened to Aaron makes me incredibly sad and angry. What's happening to the world is just so depressing. People need to wake up to what's happening but it kinda feels like it's too late and the world will be governed by a few and the rest of us will be slaves to their system

Yes it is inconsequential because Reddit is just a stupid website so who cares if they ban you, just don’t use that website anymore. But they treat it like a social credit score in that having low karma will disadvantage you on the website.

I was on Reddit from 2006 to 2012 and it was so amazing back then. The discussions where so interesting and you saw different views and political opinions. Reddit is now a soulless husk of it's former self. It's like a corporate zombie thinking it's still relevant.

I noticed that few years ago when I was introduced to Reddit: I immediately noticed how some moderators would used their positions to bend the rules and favor some comments over others, especially if the comment or post would attract thousands of upvotes. I've seen posts being deleted or banned just to make room for other posts with the same content.
