How do you divide the pours? For example do you do 5mls per second 3 or for times with 10 seconds rest in between?

I seem to be over extracting all but the very lightest roasts. Should I try grinding coarser, reducing water temp or using more water?

Yes, or yes, and no. More water will, at the same time, extract even more AND reduce strength. If your full brew time is more than 4.5 minutes, I’d coarsen the grind first, before messing with the water temp.

I know I might be the only one, but regardless of “how safe”, I like to avoid plastic + resin at all costs. Glass and metal are 👌🏼.. call me crazy.

@@chiriko7335And GMO corn is sweeter and doesn’t have any bugs in it. Also plastic water bottles with micro plastic threads are so much more convenient… Not to mention farm raised fish and meat is also cheaper and looks better…

@@chiriko7335at least they should make a home version with vacuum insulated glass walls, less toxic plastic, for people who prefer that.

If you think plastic is generally toxic then you're out of your mind. Yes there are plastics that you don't want in contact with food. But it's illegal for manufacturers to even sell food products made of those due to the FDA. You're eating heaps of food that has come into contact with food safe plastic every day. Put down the tinfoil hat maybe.
