Good stuff, what’s the brand of the wool socks you briefly show? Didn’t see a link for them.
Been wearing those arctic sports formerly known as arctic extreme for 16 years or better , bought a different brand this fall and ended up fixing my old pair . Not very durable for punctures and the soles like to leave the boot , but keep in mind this winter I ve had nights that have gone below 40 F . Still love them for all day comfort and wearability .

Thanks Leo! When it comes to Muck your comparison of steel toe to composite toe is mostly weight. The composite will be a lighter. They have tested whether steel toe makes your toes colder than composite and the results were about the same for both so I would look out how light you want the boot when it comes to steel toe or composite toe.

@@RealList10 Hey Brandon. No not all Muck boots are safety toe. We sell primarily to companies that require safety toe so that is why I featured them in the video. Muck has a lot of options but the Chore would be a good choice if you need something that is comfortable down to 20 degrees. Thank you for watching!
Awesome, thanks for the shout out. Looks great with your jeans over the boots, much better at keeping stuff out of your boots too. You should always include wearing pants over the boots in your videos. Would be good to see carhartt pants over the boots too. Be sure to show them actually going over the boots as they're not a struggle to get over the boots. Here in Canada we always wear our pants over our rubber boots. Good to see you guys down South doing the same.
That kind of defeats the purpose of having a tall, waterproof boot.
@@varun009 lol, you obviously don't live in the same environment as me. Walking through 2 feet of snow I would get snow in my boots pretty quickly if I didn't have my pants over top. Working in the forest and handling cut firewood I would also get sawdust and woodchips and branches, twigs and prickers down in my boots unless I had my pants over top of them. There are lots of different applications.
@@mountainviewcattle if you have no problem with snow on your pants, it's probably dry snow, right? In that case, why not get a proper set of loggers and blouse your pants over them?

Not trying to nit pick but you said Arctic sport for two pairs of those boots, only would like to know for clarity what they were correctly called :)
Thank you for pointing that out Jake. The boot on the far left of the screen bottom row is an Arctic Pro and the boot to the right of it is an Arctic Sport. The Arctic Pro is rated for the coldest weather (Good to -60) and the Arctic Sport (Good to -40F) is the next warmest.

Hi Manuel! Thanks for the comment! The Arctic Ice is another style in the Muck line up. Unfortunately that boot doesn't come in a Safety Toe but I hope Muck comes out with it in a safety toe soon. The Arctic Ice is really cool because of the rubber it has on the bottom of the boot. This stuff sticks to ice! I was at a trade show and they had a guy walking up and down a block of ice with them on.
As far as Neoprene vs. Rubber goes there are pros and cons to both. Neoprene breathes better so your foot will stay at a more consistent temp and it's not as rigid. Rubber is nice because you can get into some nasty stuff and it wont break down the boot as bad. It is also a little tougher it you are around things that could tear into the boot.
Your warmth comes from the thickness of the neoprene and any liners that might be in the boot. Always look at that thickness of the neoprene when looking at these boots. The thicker the better if you want warmth. Hope this helps!

I have the Muckboot artic pro and i still get cold feed when ice fishing. The sole is to thin and and the cold is going straight trough. For active fishing or hunting they are good. Are you standing sill or sitting they are no good.
I want the muck chore but they don’t go up to size 15 ( I got big ass feet)

We do not carry any of the woodland styles from Muck. But here are the temperature ratings for them:
Men’s Artic Pro Mossy Oak = -60 deg F to 30 deg F
Men’s Woody Sport Mossy Oak = -40 deg F to 40 deg F
Men’s Woody Max Mossy Oak = -40 deg F to 40 deg F
Men’s Woody Grit = sub freezing to 65 deg F

It's a great boot and a little lighter because of the Composite Toe. As far a as a wide calf I would go with the Muck Gusset or the DryShod Gusset boot

These boots will give you more room in the calf because you can adjust the gusset to allow more room. Hope this helps!

I will never buy the muck boot brand again. They went from my favorite boot on my first pair and after buying the second pair they leaked the 1st time I put them on. The sales rep took 3 months to credit my money back. I talked to the lady that sold them to me and she had 2 other pairs that leaked. Three months is way too long so I am out on the Muck boots. Sorry
