- This video is an Acrylic Pour for beginners step by step tutorial. It features a Liquitex Basics Acrylic Paint Mixing recipe. This is a longer video because I go through the entire acrylic pour process step by step.
This is designed for those who are just starting out. I choose Liquitex Basics Paint to mix for this tutorial because i think it's a great paint to use when you are first starting with acrylic pouring. I do use silicone for this pour, and I demonstrate how I mix this into my paint as well. This is a much longer video than normal, so I will be putting in chapters so you can easily jump from section to section.

measuring is just a good habit. i have a tendency to mix too thick, so it lowers risk of wasting material for me. and you need these kinds of good habits if you work with resin. tks for sharing

Love your tutorial. You are the only one that explains where on the packaging the marking of the paints description of translucency. I have watched so many tutorials. About the time I think I have seen enough to begin my pouring journey, I find another technique and /or explanation of something new. Great video! Do you have to use a torch?
It really helps pop the air bubbles. Some techniques produce fewer bubbles than others, but it's important to get them out of there. I know some recommend letting your paint sit to give them time to pop naturally. (before you pour with it I mean)

How are we going to know the ratio of floetrol or whatever we use too acrylic paint is going to be if we have different paint? One lady I watched said you could mix Elmers Glueall instead of Floetrol if you want too.
How can you know the ratio of your paints when you buy it if it wasn’t one of the paints you showed? I bought Deco Art and Folks Art.
