Hey, I wanted to say a very, very VERY sincere thank you! This video and the 8hp version was perfect to walk me through how to repair my old carb. I feel guilty though. You should get paid for that video. It saved me a ton of money from taking the carburetor into the shop, and I was able to get it done in a short time with confidence. I didn't think there was any way someone would have an applicable video with the exact carburetor. You have at least 2 :) GREAT! Thank you so much.
you probably dont give a damn but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my password. I would love any tips you can offer me
@Callen Omari I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Callen Omari DAMN IT REALLY WORKED :O I literally got access to my IG password after ~ 45 minutes by using the site. Just had to pay 15$ but definitely worth it :) Thank you so much you saved my ass :D
I never had any problems with the updraft carbs AT all but I'd just use carb cleaner and compressed air on the long jets because I could never get them out. I also use a set of cutting torch tip cleaners for cleaning out jet passages. The side-draft jobs like the red one you showed were dandies too but those blasted choke-o-matics should be shot though like on the 3 or 3 1/2 horse verticals. The first time would work but the hot start was just pull the breather off and hold the choke open but everything isn't perfect. You did a fine job and still waiting for that tune!.
I hear ya! They seem to be really reliable, this one just needed cleaned when i first got it. Sometimes they will not come out, got lucky on this one! I heard that, that is true on those, they can be picky and hard to start when they are hot. Good when they are running though! thanks, appreciate that, maybe one of these days! Thanks for Watching!!!
I'll see what i Can do, I don't think i have a video just on adjusting floats so that might be worth making. Thanks for the sub, and Thanks for Watching!!!
hi FNA,could you make a short video how to adjust the drive pedal on a huskee tractor mower I have its a 20hp b&s,i seen you did a carb video on youtube also,i don't understand how to adjust it in the manual if you want to,ok later thanks
I don't have a huskee tractor, not sure if its the same as my montgomery wards or not, i've never had to adjust mine, when i start having problems i know its time for new belts. Thanks for Watching!!!
Hey FNA, I really enjoy your videos, Thank you for all your hard work on them. Just wondering where you buy your briggs carb rebuild kits and parts etc. If you don't mind giving a link with a few of your favorite places you get your parts at. I always struggle finding the correct part #'s by using the engine # codes. I know I could use a video on figuring out how you take an engine code and end up sourcing the right part. Thanks again!
Your welcome, glad you like them! I used to buy from tulsa engine warehouse, but they went out of business, I've been getting alot of parts from MFGsupply.com and just off of ebay if i just need a couple things at a time. another good place for genuine briggs brand parts is jackssmallengine.com. Thanks for Watching!!!
Thanks for this video. I'm trying to learn all I can now that I am retired.

They were more reliable then what they are putting out now days! Thanks for Watching!!!
I'd love to see a vid on float adjustment of the original and the china copy carbs for this style briggs carb. I subscribed, very clear cut vids.
I'll see what i Can do, I don't think i have a video just on adjusting floats so that might be worth making. Thanks for the sub, and Thanks for Watching!!!
Nice old carb. Especially like the brass pickup tube and how easily the whole carb unbolts. Thanks.
They are good carbs, very very simple! Your welcome, Thanks for Watching!!!
