@@tsoul1333 He isin’t human and the devil isin’t human . We are idiotic and easily manipulated foolish and confused, we are human. Those things know what they seek what they want how they want it and so on. They know better but if they do wrong be aware it’s because they want to and know full well the consequences but their urges which they should hold more control over then us is what they think of. Hence the greater punishment for angels that do wrong becoming devils. And why the devil’s punishment is so high. God is incapable of wrong, perfect in a way that we can’t even comprehend. What we think he does wrong is nothing but our own doing. Unbelievable isn’t it? Scary even. Because we are so small minded that we can’t even begin to grasp the idea of God, angels, demons. Because in sleep paralysis it’s always an old women. And they reckon when you die old women eat you
@@dondamon4669 do they throat you too?
This is just Christian believe but the bible says demons disguise themselves as something innocent and pure to trick others into believing they’re angels or ghosts. Ghosts do not exist, it is a demon or angel so when people believe they’re talking to a relative it is a demonic spirit pretending or possibly the relative as an angel. Those are the only two biblical possibilities. Angels don’t sin so if the spirit says it’s a ghost or denys being an angel it’s a demon.
The bible also says satan was the most beautiful angel so demons also are very attractive, again in order to deceive humans. In conclusion, demonic spirits are most likely: elderly, a dead relative, a child, a very attractive person, or sometimes a cute animal/toy

I enjoyed this movie compare to most folks who don't understand or just sees the devil as some black and white figurehead, instead of a complex character. This movie made the devil very complex. Notice how at the end when the cop forgave the devil whispered, "damn!" as to say that the soul was spared by another soul who easily forgave despite the young man killed his family, showing us that the way to win from evil is by forgiveness and to ask for forgiveness (taking accountability for your own actions towards those you did wrong). As an actual maintenance guy, here's what we'd do. 1: Reset the Elevator. 2: Call the Fire department. A maintenance guy wouldn't know shit beyond that, as anything else beyond those two things requires a licensed elevator technician. People getting frightened in elevators is real, so there wouldn't be any running back and forth between floors when someone is stuck. Another thing, modern elevators have a set of tracks on the four corners on the outside that only move on a signal. This is to prevent the elevator from falling even if something happens to the cable. Also, Firemen don't just "pry" elevator doors open. You may recall seeing the small circles on elevator doors, those are for special "keys" firemen have that allows them to open any elevator system.

Thanks Contemo. It's good to learn form qualified personnel speaking about their craft / vocation / expertise. Serious follow-up queries, please :
i) What's your take / advice on real serious disaster scenarios like a big fire breaking out in a high-rise, trapping those on the higher floors? I'm thinking "The Towering Inferno" (Steve McQueen, the lot). What's the role of "maintenance guys /elevator technicians)" during such panicky and chaotic situations, alarms going off, smoke billowing, screams about "MY BABY'S IN THE BEDROOM I CAN'T LEAVE HER THERE!" while everyone is commanded to evacuate to higher (not lower) floors "IMMEDIATELY!" etc? Are personnel like yourself morally and legally obliged to risk your lives to try and save others when the conflagration is climbing up storeys, real fast? Security officers / fire rescuers may trapped on the lower / ground floor themselves so someone has to step up and take charge.
ii) Do walkie-talkies work smoothly with lower floor communicators in the midst of all the thick, blinding, suffocating smoke and rising temperatures?
iii) Is it actually safe for some desperado to drench himself in say a dripping wet blanket and try to dash downstairs through engulfing flames?
iv) Say the fire is presently eating up the 56th floor; the occupants of lift D are stalled on the 63rd and they are screaming and forcing the elevator doors open. You happen to be around. Must you help in "prying" open the door (is it stated in your employment terms and conditions?). Alternatively, what's this super-heroic gesture of someone entering the shaft hole and attempting to rescue trapped passengers through the ceiling of the lift? Very dramatic but is it even allowed, please?
v) We still see in movies the horrific spectacle of plunging lifts whether the cables are snapped or not? Fact of fiction?
vi) Are pulley systems already passe? Has pneumatic power-driven technology taken over completely in some countries?
Really appreciate your enlightenment here to the best of your knowledge.
Gracias.

What? Lol
How does that make sense.
Apollo Knight Bc what comes up must come down meaning if you throw a jelly sandwich in the air the gravitational pull from the ground is gonna cause it to hit the floor & pull towards the floor but if you throw a sandwich in the air and it lands on the ceiling instead of on the ground that’s a paranormal phenomena at work the only way anything can stick to the ceiling is if there’s a magnetic pull which that rarely happens
@@therealhijabiniqabi7714 that still doesn’t make sense. Of course it would fall to the ground but why does it have to be jelly side up to be considered that the devil is nearby. I think that’s why everyone is confused
Kam 9/10 jelly doesn’t stick so if it’s jelly side sticking that’s a problem it’s not normal that’s like if you throw peanut butter and jelly separately peanut butter will stick longer than jelly cause it’s a thicker solid than jelly so if jelly sticks then that’s a problem

He also put two people who did not know good from evil with a master manipulator that did know good from evil in a huge secluded garden that God himself, maker of all the rules and knower of all, would not always be present in with a tree that bore fruit that he didn't want Adam and Eve to eat... ya know, I already had a lot of gripes with the omnipotent creator's stupidity in this timeless story that teaches obedience and discourages learning for yourself, adventuring, or growing up in any psychologically healthy or productive setting; but after breaking everything down, what was the reasoning? Was god just a terrible or negligent father? Did he know the moment Adam and Eve took a bite? Like, did he experience the moment as if he were there with him? Was the showing up thing along with 'how do you know you're naked?' just for dramatic effect? If being naked is something they suddenly knew, doesn't that imply that being naked is bad? Knowledge of good and evil with no personal moral bias implied, where 'good and evil' is implied to be pretty general, but at the same time pretty well-defined all of a sudden... sorry, rambling, back on point, wouldn't suddenly noticing they're naked after eating the fruit that let them know good and evil and feeling shame over their nudity imply that being nude is in some way bad, which by extension means God had them doing something bad?
@@jacoblineberry1788 God is the dumbest f*ck ever. How can you be omnipotent and yet the only way to forgive humanity is by sacrificing your own son. I remember once in my freshman year at the dorm I got on and the elevator opened at floor 3. then no one got on so I brushed it off. however, the elevator opened again on floor 3 then closed then opened again so I jumped out and went to the main floor to report then took the stairs to the 9th floor. lol
15:05 I'll never forget that icy chill down my spine & the audible gasps in the theater when that scene played in theaters. Probably one of the best low-budget horror films I'd ever seen, and I typically hate the horror genre. Really wish M. Night Shyamalan would make more like it
Love the way the movie was broke down!! Great job!!
*This movie is literally among us playthrough*
It’s blue ♿️
Omg the devil is literally the IMPOSTER GUYS 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱 and the reason we couldn’t see him kill the people was because he was venting 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱 DEVIL IS SUS?!?!?!! SUSSY?!?!!?!??? 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳

I clicked on this video hoping to see some Among Us comments. This made me happy.

I think he got away because he was genuinely remorseful of what he has done and willing to trade places for the devil to boot
I watched this back in high school and ever since then I’ve been scared to take elevators 😅
This movie scared the fuck out of me as a kid and still does to this day
I lived at a highrise 20% of the time a year When you got into the elevator And pressed you're floor. It would pass you're floor without stopping And open above Or below the floor you pressed..Other times the door would open between floors but not stop One of the service guys told the super While in the elevator it got stuck for 8 secs Then dropped superfast Then the brake kicked in slamming him to the floor .. They swapped out most of the parts in the shaft...Still had issues till we moved...I took the stairs all the time..4th floor thank god
Well, that sounds horrifying. I’m terrified of elevators. Normally I’d say “irrationally” but I don’t really think it’s that irrational anymore.
@@gelitrippingkiddo5907 elevators in modern countries are highly regulated and very safe, no need to be nervous.
@@Danuxsy They don't kill you, but you can still get stuck in them for a while. For someone with the claustrophobia, that's Hell.
This is what happens when there are lazy engineers 👨💻
The way the characters are introduced and brought together is the most creative shit I have ever seen
Thought I was going mad every time I heard him say “trough” the wall
I remember this movie....gave me the creepers that I didn't want to find myself in an elevator for days lol
So all the devil did was help his cop buddy get rid of his grudge, how sweet.
No, he did that inadvertently. What he really did was kill 7 people.
you forgot the best part of the movie when the security guard says "If the Devil is real then God must be real too"
As long as toast falling jelly side down will protect us from the Devil's presence, God can sit on His chair wherever it is.
Which also then implies...God doesn't give a shit that the devil is killing people. God does nothing.
@@elykspuz6596 God set up the redemption part.
@@Wednesdaywoe1975 So God just allowed these other people to be killed because?
@@elykspuz6596
That’s according to paganism of so called Christianity
According to the real message of God almighty the devil doesn’t have this power on the world he only whispers and be around ppl and make them make sins by telling them it’s ok to drink ,it ok to rape ,etc
Unpopular opinion: that was actually an extreme idealogical angel sent to give the detective closure because the guy would never confess
Hey I watched this before
The twist was so good that I remembered the mess 12 years later
I remember watching this when i was high. I was shitting bricks.
Sounds painful
is this supposed to be funny?
weed smokers and vegans are one in the same.
@@Redd_Y are you supposed to be somebody important?
@@Givadanger I wanna agree with you but I don’t know why
I can't take this movie seriously, when a guard's way of checking if the devil is present is to throw a piece of toast on the floor.
Lmfaooo bout to do that
The devil you are cool with but that breaks it for you?
You must not know about the last supper, jesus said the toast is his burnt body.
@@imnobody6490 Jesus didn't say it lol but it has nothing to do with it, It's simply a matter of M Night shyamalan having dumb ideas. A toast lands jam side down as a sign that the devil is present. Or a kid reading prophecy from cereal boxes in ''Lady in the water''. Or aliens being unable to open pantry doors and being scared of water while attacking a planet mostly covered in water. don't get me started on The Last Airbender.
@@redrick8900 no, this whole movie is stupid, it has too many plotholes, plot that actually is there is messy, the characters are cliche yet annoying. Somehow a devil has all this time to just punish four or five bad people in an elevator lol. M Night's movies seem fine at first, but when you dig deeper they're actually really bad.
Saw this when I was a kid, i was so scared to go on the elevator after watching this.
“Today, I’m an old woman” greatest line
Hoody had a fatal hit and run, old lady a pick pocketer/devil, red tie a big time conman, security temp dave chapel look a like did some crime in the past, and gold digger girl may have murdered her rich husband. What baddy did the first guy who jumped on top of the van and old security guard do?
the security man/narrator said innocent people get hurt
why did you assume the girl may have murdered her rich husband?
@@amarreezlan7131 I mean looking at the pattern, everyone in the elevator made a sin.
I think the young lady had the sin of greed. She was a gold digger and was trying to get money from her rich husband. I think the old security guard might have been a violent offender and might have went to jail which could explain his fear. Not sure what the person who jumped off the top did but i think it was to set the stage to bring the police officer over be the audience.
@@amarreezlan7131 the lawyer she was there to meet said he was a forensic specialist
Geez, this story really got me goosebumps...
The full movie is actually hilarious. This video purposely left out the REAL hint that the Devil is in the elevator (and who the actual Devil is): the Mexican guard threw a jelly toast and when it landed jelly down, it means the Devil is around. I am NOT making this up.

Lol the way it pronounced “through the wall”
This film was actually one of the BEST thriller movies I had seen in the last ten years. Devil really surprised me. Great acting, simple and unique plot, good twists. I was lucky to see it in theaters.
huh well i was gonna watch this video but after reading your comment i think ill check out the movie first lol
@@HauntedOath It’s well-worth it 100%, if you like good pacing, whodunnits, and twists
@@HauntedOath I concur. Watched it home few years ago and can still easily list it as a must watch. Won't hype it but it's a must watch if you're into locked room type thriller movies which I am. @tipto Who do you know?
this was a popular and highly successful movie and hit was very creepy and suspenseful so i am glad it was popularly received. it was also a realistic setting, just 5 people in an elevator, and two security guards watching on a camera, and you get to watch good acting and a good story, that's it. it was a surprise for me to discover that the old woman was Satan, the devil comes in many forms.
I knew it was the grandma because of what she said to him before she got in the elevator
This movie had me on the edge of my seat
It was soooooooo good
