- Fred finally has Sarah - N - Tuned's truck bed in the booth for its final step, a fresh coat of paint before returning it to Sarah for striping and assembling. Fred talks through the steps that he prefers for prep and paint on this older Ford Ranger bed.

@@chadvalliere8697 This is 100% true. I build custom bikes as a hobby and I can paint them to a glass like finish you could swim in, but they're all 1 off paint jobs, if you asked me to colour blend or match orange peel etc I wouldn't even know where to start.

Hey Fred, I never noticed you had such a great voice for narration.
I bet that color match is spot on. Between 4 or 5 different camera shots as the color shifted through green to blue the matched looked perfect no tell tail transition.
Gram's truck is my favorite build on UA-cam atm,
followed by Ed's Golden Nugget.

Great looking work. One thing is that you used some seriously inside baseball terms that some of us newbs didn't grok. Maybe dive in a bit more into painting terms that are second nature to you but maybe not to others. I don't plan on doing any of this work myself but I'd like to know when I'm getting quality work done.

Be kind to yourself when doing the box underside by standing it on yhe headboard on lawn chair pads(to not damage) so you can work not over your head. Brushing on Por puts a heavier coat of the good stuff on.

Not often you see an auto painter happy to have orange peel!
The paint texture (orange peel) on repaired panels should match the paint texture on the rest of the vehicle.
I'm new to your channel and you do some nice work. Just one question do you have carpet in your Paint booth?
