That's great to know! It's so nice to have that protecting you in rain. It is hard to drive a car, without it once you've experienced it 😂 Thanks for tuning in as always brother! 🤝🤙
Once I replace my wife’s cracked windshield, compliments of the freeway construction around Sacramento lol, I wouldn’t mind trying this, thanks brother 👍😁
Sorry to hear about that! Yeah f freeways are terrible! Our accord has a cracked one as well lol. You'll enjoy this. Easy to use🤙 stop fast so good! Appreciate you tuning in!🤝🤙
An interface pad really helps the skipping on the glass. a spray bottle of water to sprits on the glass every once in a while, keeps it running smoothly. My go to is Angel wax H2GO ✨️
That would definitely help i bet! I'll give it another go with more liquid next time hahaha. H2GO I'll have to look into that! Thanks for tuning in my friend. Take care! 🤙🫡🤝
Hey smurf. Good video man. I do my glass coating a little differently to you in some respects. To start, i remove the wiper blades entirely and leave them to soak in some APC while im doing the first clean and coat. You've seen how much crap comes out of tyre walls. The wiper blades are much the same. For the initial clean, i use a rinseless wash followed by a quick panel prep. Then on to coating. You apply in circular motions because of the nature of glass. If you look at it under a microscope, it has fissures running in all different directions. So the circular motion helps to ensure those fissures are filled with coating. I do my first coat clockwise, top to bottom, my second coat anticlockwise, side to side. Between the coats, I'll also get the blades cleaned off and dried, ready to coat. As for rayon pads, they take a bit of getting used to. Ill butter on a layer of polish (i tend to use Ceriglass) and then squirt a layer on too. I also use a forced rotation DA and angle the pad slightly. Like you would using a rotary. For the little nooks and crannies, i have some 1 inch rayon pads that i punched out of a 3 inch pad. I have also used the remains of the cut up 3 inch pad and glued them to a cone to use on the extension bar. But to be fair, that level of detail is only for the Baller detail, which costs £3,500.
Wow, thank you for taking the time to break down your process! I learn every day an ill definitely apply some of your teqnique 🤙🤙 Yeah, I'll have to try the rayon once I get a rotory and use more polish. 👍👍Thanks for taking the time to watch my friend. Take care! 🤝🤝
Love having a good windshield coating on my vehicles. Makes driving in the rain so much safer in my opinion. Looks rather easy to use. The rayon discs definitely require using a lot more polish than you would polishing paint. Great video brother!
I've always been a sealant over coating guy. I got DIY Hydro Glass as a gift and I still have an unopened box of ADS Glass V1 I'll try those this spring.
Yup I've been doing the same! Still get good results. Guess we shall see how long this stuff lasts! Those are some great options you have. Should be a great outcome! Appreciate you tuning in brother! 👍🤝
Nice video PS! I have been using Stoner's Glass Coating kit on both of my vehicles. It was a super easy application and it is going strong after installation on 11/1/2023 with less than regular maintenance (decon it every 4-6 months). I installed it on all of our windows. My cars are stored outside in New England. Very satisfied with their window coating. When I do need another one eventually, I may try Armour Detail Supply Glass Coating. For the wiper blade inserts, they need to be prepped as well before applying the coating to the inserts.
Thank you my friend! Stoners has been mentioned many times I'll have to use it i think I actually have it! Glad to hear it's putting up with your conditions ! Thanks for sharing! Appreciate you tuining in ans take care 🤝🤙🫡
Great vid! 🤩 I found the same problem with prepping window with Geyon. I use combo with Autoglyn glass polish and soft99s Glacco works really great with swedish roads.
Thank you!!! Haha yeah I was not a fan lol. But overall the results were great on our trip.. hope it holds up.. shouldn't be a problem cause our winters are not terrible here! Luckily lol. Thanks for tuning in! 🫡🤝
Thanks big Marioooo! Yeah hey if that works then it works! To each there own! 😎🤙 appreciate your ongoing support into 2025! Let's make it a great year! 🫡🤝
Thanks man! Yeah same here. I dont see the rela difference but I'm sure there is? Lol either way this is performing good 👍 you'll enhoy it! Appreciate you tuning in! 🤙🤝
papismurf!!! what’s up dogg! i still haven’t used a windshield coating like the one you used, but i freaking love soft99 ultra glaco that stuff is amazing ✌🏽🐿️💨
What's up brother!!! How you doing man?! A few people enjoy the Glaco.. ill have to look into that! Yeah this one was very easy! I'm happy! 😃 appreciate you tuning in! 🤝👍
Ive always wondered 🤔 if that stuff worked! Good to know! How long does it last before you notice any loss in performance?? Also, thanks for taking the time to watch!
Hu Eric, there was some great hydrophobics on the windshield, i sometimes use either glaco or angllewax H2go , p.a did you mean a class glass cleaner cleaner 🤣🤣
Hahahah a class cleaner yes! Ever heard of them?🤣🤣🤣 nice! Yes I've had a few people mention the H2go.. I'll look into that stuff! Thanks for watching! 🤝🫡
Those rayon discs feel so weird to me..they were skipping on me too and it was not a fun experience-I felt like I was doing something wrong the whole time and it just sucked for lack of a better word-I understand the concept but I’m not sure I’ll ever use them again
Omg same! Hahaha it wasn't you cause same thing on my end.. I prefer a urofiber or a coarse wool pad 😆 thank you so much for taking the time to watch! ✊️
I usually just use what ever coating is going on the paint/body. Let me know if you have a windshield favorite. One last note. I get a damp towel and test to make sure as I wipe ALL SURFACE is flat.
Ive been doing that too! Lol seemed to work ok. We will see the durability of this! Lol first glass dedicated coating I've done. Is there even a difference??? Who knows! Lol 🤣 appreciate you watching!
Angelwax H2go. Haven’t tried many but that stuff makes the water roll off at low speeds down to 20mph. Wish I could find another coating that does that . All others you have to be going about 45 and it has to be raining hard
8ve yet to use any Angelwax products but I've heard nothing but great things! Yeah once I got 25-30mph this stuff kicks in good. Before had to go like 45-50 for it to show me something lol. Hope it stays stout! Appreciate you taking the time to watch! 👍🤝
I used to use that method as well. Ran into a few that would skip an streak. So I decided to try coatings. I think they are worth it! 🤙🤙 appreciate you taking the time to watch! 🫡🤝
@PapaSmurf918Detail haven't tried DIY Detail Hydro Glass, but the other coating for glass that I like is Majestic Solutions Shield glass. Rayon disks/pads for windshields are like that, and always use the cream but spray some water for easier removal

Hey Jason! 👍 I believe I got them from Detail depot! Mike, with Mike's auto detailing 🤔🤔 However a urofiber pad or microfiber pad would work just fine buddy! 🤙
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE GLASS COATING? DROP IT IN THE COMMENTS!
Windex 😅
I've been using brian's blue collar five, and it's been great. Excellent video sir! 👍🏻🇨🇦

Thanks big Marioooo! Yeah hey if that works then it works! To each there own! 😎🤙 appreciate your ongoing support into 2025! Let's make it a great year! 🫡🤝
Try spraying a little water on the windshield when the polish starts to dry out.
Great advice. You are the 3rd person who suggested this! Appreciate the input! Also, thanks for taking the time to tune in! 🤝👌🤙
Dang Smurf you read my mind was really thinking of using View on the ISF and my Subie ,

Only window product I've used is Glaco... Its been on my truck about 2 months.. so far so good

Great video, Eric! I'll have to try this one out. I've enjoyed using C6 HydroGlass
Eileen! Thank you! Yeah this was pretty easy. Curious how long it will hold up! Appreciate you watching! 😃
I’ve always used Rain X glass cleaner and their washer fluid, that works for me.
Ive always wondered 🤔 if that stuff worked! Good to know! How long does it last before you notice any loss in performance?? Also, thanks for taking the time to watch!
@ as long as I use the washer fluid, I don’t lose any performance. It’s the cheap way to go 😂
Yo, Pops! Typically good vid.
Shine on you crazy diamond! 🚘
Thanks brother! I'll shine as long as you shine with me 💎 😎🤙👍
Stoners Strip clean the glass and have used Ethos Glass on my vehicle. Works great so far.
👌👌👌 Nice combo! Appreciate you taking the time to watch! 💪
Let's goooo 😂😮😊
