      Absolutely. Mongrels like this bike gives one an appreciation for the magnitude and thoroughness of Mr.Millyard's projects. No carb and supercharger sticking out of the top, a proper seat, no car tire and outriggers, no need for a drill to get it running. Allen Millyard built an actual, usable motorcycle.

    • @Lucas12v
      @Lucas12v 3 роки тому +2

      The Flying Millyard is an amazing bit of work to be sure but i don't think that takes away from this bike. this one is cool in a different way for me because it's a watercooled supercharged aircraft engine making 500 hp. I even think the separate starter is gives it character. Besides, it was probably the only reasonable (reasonable for a show bike) way to handle the starting situation. Of the two, i prefer the FM but it's not a contest, they can both be cool.

      Lucky Keizer's original build was much more tidy (but still a BEAST)! www.accessnorton.com/attachments/0btyrcx_mit2dpx10jplig-5nfyist_qrg41c0co7ofcelt4cg-jpg.55030/

    So much work and you couldn't re-route the exhaust a bit better

    nice touch that the head and hands of the guy operating the starter are right in front of the exhausts if the engiine backfires he doesnt have to shave for a week or two

    What did the "Rolls Royce" v-twin engine originally come installed in or on? Thats an amazing build!!! Damn good job!!!

      It was built for the Spitfire. Originally a 26 litre V-12. The engine you see in this bike is basically the end two cylinders because the rest of it was damaged.

    This bike is ideal if you have a gas station at the door of the house, you can go from the garage to the gas station if you don't accelerate too much

    That's very clever. Alot of thought and work has gone into that.
    Ive got to ask though. Why would you have the exhausts pointing point blank at the person trying to start it after all that 🤔🤣

      I reckon that was a “I’ve made a mistake moment”…

      If you look on the other side, the exhaust is probably routed to the side the starter is on to keep the heat away from the belts.
      Space is obviously at a premium and weight is an enemy. Compromises had to be made.
      Unlike in partisan politics, "compromise" isn't a 4 letter word.
