Chrysler Pacifica shifter not shifting stalling loosing power fix

Our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica was having shifter problems as well as stalling loosing power from high speeds. Chrysler had no Idea how to fix it. After some research, we came across this ‪@blautomotive7230‬ video and sent it to the Chrysler rep. They fixed what was shown in the video and we no longer have this problem.

Since posting this video, have you had any other issues with your Pacifica? I have a 2023, and am currently experiencing the same issues. And the dealer/Chrysler refuse to fix it. Would love to talk to you via email/phone/etc. if able.

After showing Chrysler the video in my description, they replaced the can shaft sensor. This cost me about $1,000. Chrysler said they could not guarantee this would fix the issue. They replaced the can shaft sensor and the problem went away. I am going through a divorce and no longer have the van but after the repair we had the van about 8 month without any more problems.

Thank you for the reply. The dealership has now had our van for 15 days, because I did not accept it when they said there was no fix. Opened a car with Chrysler cares, and had to fight tooth and nail every step of the way. Just got a call this morning that they are replacing the transmission. Can has less than 10k miles on it. Curious to see if the issue comes back.

No issues since the transmission replacement. They never told us WHY they were replacing the transmission, which raised a red flag to me. They said “The engineers at Chrysler just said to replace it, but no explanation why.” They were also unable/unwilling to tell me if Chrysler has resolved the transmission issues in their newer-made transmissions. Chrysler will never admit it if/when they do fix it, because that would mean putting an $11k transmission in about 70k minivans.
