hey, men I really love your videos , but I got a question about your video of carburetor heat u mentioned in your video"carb heat" that when you open the carb heat knob the clean air filter(primary filter is closed) and the air is going to come from the muffler ok I got this but WHAT happens when a use partial heat I mean just open partial heat knob in the flight deck , the primary filter lingers fully closed? or in half? what happens to the primary filter when I use partial heat?
When carb heat is all the way off the valve is close all 100% cool/filtered air is being drawn in to the engine, as your pull the carb heat knob slowly out. Let’s say you pull it half the way out then half of the air is being drawn through the filter/cold air the other half of the air is hot air and unfiltered. And if you pull the knob all the way out then there is no filtered/cool air being drawn in, it is 100% Hot unfiltered air entering the carb, I hope this helps!!
