Girl. I've recently started shopping at Aldi's for my family. My parents used to go when I was living at home and I used to hate it cuz they don't have like name brand stuff and it annoyed me but I'm older now and girrrrrl.. the bargains?? To die for 😂❤
ALDIs and Trader Joe’s are owned by same family.. if you go inside both stores and really look at them they are very very similar in packaging in the way the store is designed…. But I am going to ask you to read the packages and compare the prices instead of just grabbing some thing and then throwing it in your cart.
I love grocery shopping & Facetiming with my sister on the daily. I'm also a mom of two kids and a husband. I love this video because it feels like my sister is Facetiming me as she's grocery shopping meanwhile I'm cooking dinner, which is what I'm doing as I second-hand watch this! Feel so connected to you rn, lol!
Thank you Glory. I love watching grocery shopping videos. Gives great ideas or even to try a new product. Thank you for showing so much respect to the gentlemen that asked for some food. You didn't show his face and you just wanted to be able to provide him a meal - a meal with dignity. We all go through hard times and it nice when your able to give back. You grocery shop like I do - what my family likes and/or what my husband likes. Love your videos' and looking forward to more.
Aw no problem at all I’m so glad you enjoy these videos. And I was very happy to help and share that in this video but keep things private too. Thank you!!
Thanks! I’m always so surprised when I go to a different grocery store and compare the price 😱 sometimes I’ll go to Safeway to pick up a few things and the total will be like $50 for 4 items 😂
Aldi is definitely my go to grocery store outside of sams club. The prices are so reasonable especially the produce. The organic food isn’t that much more than regular and I love that. Thanks for taking us shopping with you. ❤
Aldi!!! Yasssss!!! I totally agree about the cinnamon rolls! 😋 And it is so refreshing to see a grocery haul that's realistic and not all that super expensive, name brand organic, or all homemade stuff. Sometimes you just need frozen pizza or easy-mac and that's totally ok!
Ah yes thank you, I appreciate it! I was never really interested in cooking growing up so I feel like I’m starting from scratch a lot of the time. I appreciate this comment!:)
Yessss. As a new wife & future mom I love watching shop with me videos like these to know what things to go for when I go grocery shopping! Love hearing others opinions on items. 💚
My favorite Aldi find is their chicken salad!! The cranberry one and the regular. I’m so picky about prepackaged chicken salad but Aldi’s has the best!
Tofu can be filling, mixed with other things. I chop it into small squares, marinade it in tamari with grated ginger, & then I cut the top off a pepper, take all the seeds out of the pepper, set the peppers in a baking dish, fill them with tofu mixed with any left-over grain &/or peas & sweetcorn, maybe add some seeds or herbs & put the lid back on. Then I drizzle the filled peppers with olive oil, season, put it in the oven & bake till the peppers are done. Pulses & seeds make things more filling.
Glory i love all of the videos you are doing! I get all my inspiration from you, i dont have kids or anything but i take care of my mom and im always looking forward to good recipe ideas and grocery hauls! Looking forward to your next video :)
Thank you so much for sharing this shopping video. I was so glad when you started sharing the prices of the products because I could kind of estimate how much I wold spend. Knowing that prices vary from city and state.
Loved this so much! I grew up shopping at Aldi, but now I live in a different state without Aldi and miss it! I distinctly remember them having an amazing dairy section and their boxed mac and cheese being so much better than name brand 🙌🏻 Also very kind of you to get that man something well rounded and honor his wishes ❤😊
I love these videos, I watched 3 of your Aldi videos in a row lol I've always wondered about Aldi. I'm convinced I need to check it out sometime. Blessings Glory to you and your family!
That was so fun, I enjoyed the shopping trip. It gave me some ideas for meals. Also, I would have done the same thing and gotten a lunchable, chips, and water for him. I am sure you helping him really brightened his day.
It's been a while since i caught up with slice and rice vids.. never thought i'd be hearing glory or matt say 'my kids...' My fondest vid i had of them was the bf/gf one where they show like how someone farts the longer they are in the relationship 😂. And now glory's grocery shopping for her family. How time flies..
Well hello there!!😜👋 thanks for stopping by! lol yes to time flying. It’s so cool to see that we started as boyfriend and girlfriend and now we have a whole family!!
I love this vid. I love Aldi but man I didn’t know it was this cheap there. I def miss the store and their different brands mostly the chocolates! Good for pasalubong aka send off box to the motherland. I wish northern Cali had it. Thank you for sharing your shopping trip. It was a refreshing video to watch and I also liked how you shared your story helping out. Some ppl share their experience and knowing how kind they are through other vids and it isn’t shown as bragging is what is nice to watch.
Such a good idea to do a grocery run with you! It's refreshing to see all your new content! *side note: I wish these grocery prices existed in Hawaii. We don't have an Aldi here.
I go to Aldi every tuesday at 9 a.m. to do my weekly shopping. I love it , l have the store memorized , l like it because its small amd you can get most everything. My go to items are coffee, careal, pastries , breads , produce , fruit , eggs , cheese ( shred , cubed , sliced , specialty ) meat and poultry and finally the whole frozen section. My absolute favorite thing is giving my cart to the next shopper going in to save them a quarter. You regulars know what l mean. Cost , usually around 110 bucks for 2 of us 😅
Yessss I love this! Is it normally busy at that time? I went to Aldi on the weekend in this video which wasn’t the smartest lol🙈 and yes yes yes to the cart giveaway! Someone did that for my yesterday and I super appreciated it :)
I love Aldi but it's not for my main shopping since there isn’t one very close. Most of my shopping is done with curbside pickup but I really enjoy going into Aldi to check out all the fun things they carry. Have you tried the chocolate chip brioche bread? It makes delicious French toast!! Thanks for sharing your shopping tips. ❤️
I always try to get people in need a few drinks like water or juice. A lot of people get them food without anything to wash it down. Water isn't easily accessible they are often dehydrated.
I love Aldi (I do pronounce it ALL DEE, LOL). I also have an Aldi quarter that I keep in the cup holder of my car! Your list looks very similar to mine and I also go to Target for diapers and other things I can't get at Aldi. The few Aldis that I go to have started using self checkouts which makes like so much easier for me! But i loved this video so if you want to do more, I'm here for it! ❤
Oh wow super similar even target! Haha. And I’ve always thought Aldi would benefit from a self checkout line esp if you only have a few things!!! Hope they implement that around here soon!
Sandwich stuff is always good to get for someone. It's not too expensive from the looks of it and it'll last them a while and if they have a pet they can share some of the items with the pet if need be. Loaf of sliced bread, deli meat, cheese, pb and j (obvi be aware of allergies still). If it's cold out that can be a refrigerator for the meat and cheese but the other options are better for warmer atmospheres. Water or a drink is also a good idea to add on the side with the chips/crackers/cookies as well if you have the means to get all that for the person. I would just think of things that will last them a little while and are easy to keep in a backpack or something. Also can we talk about how you got a whole full cart for like 150$ and everything I saw the price of was like under 5$ !??! Like I get a third or fourth of the stuff you got (cause I'm only 1 person + a cat) sometimes also including like shampoo and like pet supplies etc. that need stocked up and I can usually never leave the store without my bill being over 100$ or close to it. SO STRESSFUL! I'm always wondering if im eating to much to because of the costs, it really messes with the mind sometimes. (I'm in a different country from America). And the produce doesn't seem to last as long as it did before. I have to finish a thing of strawberries within a day or 2 or they go moldy and mushy. Before I remember things like that lasting over a week. You know a few strawberries for breakfast with yogurt or something over the week. Just the other day I got stuff for salad (2 types of lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, dressing), strawberries, a skin care item I needed stocked up and some canned soup and it was like $62. Everything in the cart, if it was here, would probably be close to $300. LOL I'm mind blown. A loaf of bread is usually never under $2.50. I knew the economy was going downhill after 2020 but my goodness. 🆘
Thanks for the comment! I do agree with sandwich foods and will def remember that for next time! And yeah, anytime I go to a different grocery store I always end up spending twice the amount! Aldi has great prices. I also recently heard of a fruit hack where you can store fruits like strawberries in a mason jar and it’ll last way longer!
Cart of my dreams☺️Lots of items I’d really love, but would be too indulgent for me on the regular since I have to stick to a keto-ish diet for my health. Will def try their brand cinnamon rolls though for a treat sometime. Also, that chocolate chip bread looked so good. So sweet how your parents bring y’all groceries. Also cool how you gave the gentleman something to eat, and I love the “God bless you.”🩵
I feel like I always have a pretty full cart just shopping for myself at Aldi but I also spend way too much time and money in their special non-food aisle lol. Also, the nearest Aldi to me since moving is in a slightly more affluent neighborhood so I do see a handful of carts in the parking lot occasionally. But now I have a nice little collection of emergency Aldi quarters from bringing the carts back 😂
Thanks for suggesting Aldi. I saved so much, and the food looks better. $40 doesn't go really far at Food Lion. It's too expensive and the quality isn't great.
That was really kind of you to get that man some food! Yes, all glory goes to God. Everything we have belongs to the Lord 🙏🏼💕
Aw thank you! Yes all glory to Him!
Amen 🙏
The fact we just watched Glory shopping for 17 minutes shows the love we have for her and Matt.❤

But I am going to ask you to read the packages and compare the prices instead of just grabbing some thing and then throwing it in your cart.
I dislike the part of adulting when you realize that our parents were on to something in so many ways.
Glory you are truly a sweetheart. That was so kind of you to get food for that person. I Love the shopping trip vlog.
Aw thank you! And I will def do more!;)
I love love al your shopping series! Currently binge watching it! 🤣😊🫶🏻
You’re so inspiring ❤

Yay thanks! Yes the price is always so good
When I come across a person in need of food I always get them bread, peanut butter, jelly, napkins, wet wipes, and plastic knives.
Oops and water!
That’s a good idea!!!!
I've been shopping at Aldi (Illinois) since 1985! I am glad to see it all over the U.S and now it's not just low income families shopping at Aldi.
My parents shopped there when I was little so I just followed suit and love it!:)
We love how Glory s so kind and caring for that man. I love ur videos ❤❤❤ have a wonderful evening 💖
She’s not lying about that Tomato & Sweet Basil soup. Tell them, Glory !
Yesssss so good!
Is it spicy?

I love Aldi. I’m in Knoxville Tennessee, for our family of 3, I spend around 110.00 a week.
That’s pretty good!!
They had heart shaped nuggets at my Aldi yesterday. I bought them and my kids loved them! ❤
Oh my gosh! How did I miss these?! I went to Aldi yesterday and saw the heart pizza hehe

We have Aldi in Texas and we always drive past but we have never shopped . This video has us wanting to give our local Aldi a try now ❤
I haven't tried it yet, but you can use cauliflower for taco meat. The texture resembles the meat crumbles when broken up.
Oh wowwww I’ve never thought to do that! I may try that next time since I have some cauliflower rice that we haven’t eaten yet. Thank you!:)
