Sir while designing a steel structure like truss or transmission tower, an error arises saying "instability in joint 2 or joint 17 etc" what is instability of joint. And how to resolve it. Please help.
STAAD is just a software. The data you provide should fulfill the provisions of IS 456 in the first place. eg. the load, load combinations, load definitions etc. Also, while designing the beams you should use IS 456 as your code. In short, STAAD just simplifies your calculations. However, you will have to feed it all the data based upon the Indian Standards and code clauses. Hope this helps!
