Waiting 4 your Dynamic Analysis of Seismic oads
As soon as possible
Very appreciable work. Please make videos regarding basics of structure design also.
Thank you so much. Regarding basics of structure design, what do you have in mind? Any video ideas?
Best explanation I have ever seen..
Thank you so much 😊
Very Informative.... Thanks...
Glad it was helpful!
very well explained and superb video visuals...!
Thanks.
Hey, could you do the same thing but for wind loads. Thanks so much for all the free content. You are a life saver
Will try.
Very good explanation sir in a simple way, please explain base shear is distributed to the internal joints of each beam and column
Sure I will
well explained...
Thanks.

Thanks a lot
Great job
Thank you.
Wowwwww..superbly explained.👍👏👏
Thank you so much.
perfect explanation!!!!!
can you please explain dynamic analysis also?
Yes, soon
Marvellous❤️❤️ teaching🥰
Thank you for your kind words 😊
Best explanation on UA-cam ..
Wow, thanks!
good day sir. thank u for the great video. may i ask regarding the seismic weights. why is it that only floor loads are considered and how about the loads of the walls and stairs? hope to hear from you. TIA!
This was just an example problem. Hence, in order to simplify the manual calculations only floor loads were considered. In real life cases all the loads from beams, stairs, etc. will be considered. Great question btw.
Nice explanation..
Thank you so much 😊
Thanks a lot
Most welcome
very good lecture
Thanks for liking
Thank You
You're welcome
In clause 7.6 of IS 1893 part 1, it is mentioned that equivalent static method is applicable for regular buildings with height less than 15m in seismic zone 2. In our problem the seismic zone is 5. So should we solve this by dynamic analysis method?
Plz make a video on dynamic analysis of earthquake load by both methods.
Fantastic Lecture sir. It would be beneficial if you could upload a video on seismic analysis of over head water tanks to me and many water supply engineers.
Will try
Sir please make dynamic analysis ,very easy explain in short time💯👌
hi, in general, when you apply a lateral seismic load should you also consider vertical acceleration within the same load case (i.e increasing the W of the structure)?
The weight of the structure is a constant and not likely to change.
Very nice explanation.. Please make some videos on Dynamic analysis
Thank you. Surely will try!
great video sir..keep going
So nice of you
thank you sir
You are most welcome.
Great video sir. Now waiting for Dynamic Analysis video. Please make it soon.
Thank you so much. I am working on that video too. Meanwhile please help out the channel by sharing it with your friends on social media. 🙂
Thank you so much sir🙏
You are most welcome
Sir in any case if we got two time period values that lies in two sa/g condition i.e T1= .28sec and T2 = 2.6 sec then in that case which sa/g value we will be taking care of..pls reply
Explained at top level. Can you provide the same lecture for dynamic method also please..
Thank you. Dynamic method is coming up in the near future. If you want immediate access check out my course at www.civilblackbox.com/sca
Ur teaching methodology is awesome
Can u plz explain response spectrum time history and push over analysis method in your style of teaching
Thanx
Thank you so much for your kind words. Please share this channel with your friends too in order to support my efforts. I will try making a video as per your request soon enough.
Thank you sir, this vidoes are on which code? ASCE?
The calculations are based upon IS 1893 code (Indian Standard Code) for Earthquake design. That being said, the EQ design is almost common throughout the world with minor changes. Hence, if you are using ASCE you will find a lot of similarities to IS codes.
Thank you sir 🙏🏻
Most welcome
Can we do Static and dynamic Analysis in the same model and wind also please explain
Fantastic 👏👏
Thanks a lot 😊
Hello Sir, thank you very much. For W the seismic weight of the building, you give the weight of each floor plus the weight of the roof. What happened with the weight of columns? Are they not included in the calculation for W or they are included in the weight of each floor?
Hi Christian. The problem statement was kept simple to make the manual calculations easy. In the real world example all the dead loads on the building is to be taken during calculation of Seismic Weight W which will include the weight of columns and beams and any other dead load imposed upon the structure. This example was however devoid of those factors just to minimize manual calculation on my part. Hope that helps. 🙂
nice explained thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👍...keep it up guru jii
So nice of you
can u plz make a vedio where the building will be designed using UBC 1997 code. explaining the code as it has been done here and also using and importance of Preform analysis and change
All the info he is giving are by SK Jain from (Explanatory Examples on Indian Seismic Code IS ... - IIT Kanpur.)
But the way he is explaining is good , so that we can understand more easily.
Great sir thank you
Most welcome
