We have downloaded the helmet template and i have just completed it. Problem is that i did not have the correct foam, when we purchased it the supplier actually gave us the incorrect type not EVA but we have found a new supplier who specializes in Cosplay. Quick question Steve: doesn't the Flexbond and paint mix act as a primer on the foam? What would be the difference if you had directly applied the antique pewter on top of the Flexbond-paint mix?

    • @SKSProps
      @SKSProps  3 роки тому +1

      Good question. Yes flexbond is a type of primer. my force of habit and workflow always calls for a dedicated primer to be used before any spray paint. The primer actually bites into the layer a bit and gives a completely matte surface allowing the antique pewter to adhere better. It is possible that a direct application of the pewter to the flexbond/acrylic could chip or rub off
