    Seal the ends of the nylon tube by heating it and compressing it closed with pliers like your mate did in another video with the paracord,
    Then also make a hole in the flatten plastic like he did. Use irrigation plastic tube like for sprinkler systems and drippers 👍

    I really like your video's. I just made my rod holding rack for my 40 fishing poles. I spent a lot of money on 1 -1/4" tees but love the organization. Great Idea.Thanks, Greg

      That truly is an awesome Rod rack , but 40 Rods,,,, dang it man you did spend some money lol , I think I spent between 35 or 40 on mine and it only holds 12 . ,,,,,, hey I forgot to say on that video that you can cut up a pool noodle and stick it in the end holders so your rods all sit level , I appreciate you always watching brother its ppl like you and a lot of the other great guys on here that makes it worth making the videos

    Man that is a dead-on tutorial... I appreciate that they were the exact same weight and that they both made the exact same sound when rattling. And I must add that I appreciate the need to add the sticker step. Very important part of the process!

    good video. If not making a rattle stick, there is no need to seal with the wire nuts top and bottom. They just need to be closed in the middle to prevent the lead getting out. I do the same but just put a hole in the top and a snap swivel to prevent them coming out the top. Also if you have access to old fasteners, they can be used to seal the bottom. screws and bolts make good weight material also, eventhough not as heavy as lead.

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  4 роки тому

      I just like to seal em so the top trys to stands up a little for going over stuff . But its not necessary, there's no air ( buoyancy ) in the slinky weights or the bullet weights

    Great alternative to expensive lead fishing weights is lead shot sold for reloading shotgun shells. Or talk to your local auto repair shop and get their discarded wheel weights and cast your own sinkers or make your own shot.

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  4 роки тому

      Yes Sir you are exactly right , I have videos on that too . Sometimes if you can't get lead tire weights I'll go too the scrapyard and just buy some lead it's on 50 cent a pound . Still a lot cheaper

      We use em for trolling and dragging bait on the bottom , I'm not surprised you've used em though , I'm pretty sure they came from steel head or dome kind of trout fishing . When you use then for catfishing they are usually bigger and heavier

    Awesome video man. Thanks for sharing. I wonder if there is a way to pull a vacuum in the tube before sealing it. Seems like the trapped air would cause buoyancy and you would lose some of the weight under water.

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  4 роки тому

      You lose a little buoyancy but you really only need 2oz and its 2.7oz the air helps the front stand up so it rises over stuff easier . If you don't want any buoyancy I would use the solid core weights I made , Have a safe and prosperous New Year buddy

      @@FishinNStuff Yeah, I'm sure they work great. I'm serious though. I just never seem to get hung up where I can't get these tear drop sinkers loose. They're just regular old every day 1oz tear drop sinkers. I put them on a sinker slide above the swivel where I tie on my leader. Works for me. Maybe Kerr where I usually fish just doesn't have a lot of snags or rocks on the bottom. I don't know.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Dumb question : what are drifting sticks used for and how?

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  4 роки тому +1

      There's no dumb questions brother , when your drifting or trolling for catfish you pull your bait very slow so your basically covering a lot more area while fishing than sitting in the same spot , these type weights are more likely to go across a stump or brush pile and not get hung in it because of the shape of it . But to make it work you have to put a float on your hook leader line to keep your hook up so it doesn't hang up either . It's called a sante rig if you google it , and this style fishing is where the planer boards come into play so you can fish more lines at once
