John Deere B first start after engine rebuild

New rings and valves were installed in this John Deere B. It always is hard to start after a rebuild; especially if you don't have a starter motor. There were some carb settings that had to be adjusted. It ended up running fine. After it finally started running, it pulled a Case S standard into the shop for an engine rebuild. Then, just for fun, we flashback from 2024 to 2011 when the John Deere wheel was used to tumble pea gravel in a Farmall Cub gas tank that was rusty. Lastly, for no one but me, we have a scene from 2011 when my Uncles and my Dad helped start the John Deere B for the first time since we got it. It had a seized engine, which we freed by jacking up on the flywheel until it broke free. After it finally started, it did rev up too high for some reason. After the engine broke free, it did run fine for about a decade until it finally ran out of compression. So winter of 2024 it was time to rebuild it. This video has two first starts in it, really. Great machine overall.

It needs an engine rebuild. It started, but just puffed out white smoke and barely had any power. I'm hoping rings and valves will be all it needs.
