John Deere B first start after engine rebuild
Переглядів 1,4 тис.5 місяців тому
New rings and valves were installed in this John Deere B. It always is hard to start after a rebuild; especially if you don't have a starter motor. There were some carb settings that had to be adjusted. It ended up running fine. After it finally started running, it pulled a Case S standard into the shop for an engine rebuild. Then, just for fun, we flashback from 2024 to 2011 when the John Deer...

Detroit diesel baby yeah!!!!!
Thanks for making this Terrific video! The last time I drove one of these beauties was in March 1969. This brought back good memories .
This is really a unique machine. They had their own engine design.
Nice work! Sounds good and started right up!!! What's the plan with the Case S???
It needs an engine rebuild. It started, but just puffed out white smoke and barely had any power. I'm hoping rings and valves will be all it needs.
It's a shame this Channel only has just over 400 subs. Great work
Thank you sir.
Not sure what the squeaking sound is. I tried to lower it in post.
Nice. Thank you
I love taking mine out and spinning it around like that.
Very beautiful video. I hate the GM STUPID ENGINES NOISE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oliver-Cletrak diffs are unbreakable as they were over engineered.I own a Oliver BD in Australia.A beautiful machine.
Music to my ears
My uncle Harvey. Harvey tractor south Dover me was a big dealer for many years I used to work on them one of the best tractors ever built!!
What state was that in? I know Dover, PA.

Hi . I have a 1958 Cockshutt 550 wide front .
Sounds like tyranny box is dry ???
I think it's just worn out. When I got it, there was a lot of water in the transmission. Looked muddy. I flushed it and put heavier oil in it, but it is still noisy. There is also lot of noise coming from the left final drive.
Looks like a BN great little tractor. ❤
I love to see the old machines still working. I had to put a box blade on my 4000 to make good traction.
A counter weight on the three point would have been smart. Good idea.
great vid thanks...
Thanks for the encouragement.
Nice Diesels/Gas. But wheres the steam?
They did have one steam shovel there, but I didn't see it operating. I have footage of it from the 2022 show. Maybe I should put that up on youtube.
We do have the Thew Type O steam shovel operating during our shows and the Erie steam shovel that we are repairing. We also have a steam engine running the rock crusher and a steam roller that operates during most of the shows.@@tractortracking
Wonderful. Just Wonderful.
Great vid thanks👍
THE HCEA'S 37TH NATIONAL CONVENTION IS APPROACHING VERY FAST!! OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE HARD AT WORK GETTING READY, TO ENSURE A GREAT TIME! I HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE! THE CONVENTION WILL BE IN BOWLING GREEN, OHIO SEPTEMBER 22ND 2023 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 24TH 2023!
I’ve tried this a few times with no luck
You have to end up removing the crank and pressing out the whole piston.
What does that do for it? The heat can get it unstuck?
You never know how bad it's stuck. It might have worked.
That's a great looking tractor!
I know where there's a truck like this in the woods abandon you could never get it out unless you chop down among the trees and stuff
Hi I found one for sale and need your opinion on is it worth it to restore. Parts etc. RACHEL in maine
My opinion is if the tracks and undercarriage are decent, it is worth it. A stuck engine can always be fixed.
I have a model e and I think it is a 1936.it runs very well
Do you have a video of it?
Fantastic rework of a print broucher, love it
Many thanks. I needed some inspiration to make more. They didn't seem to go over too big.
Nice! Thank you for sharing.
How much does this machine weigh? What make is the crawler you used to pull it off the trailer?
a Cletrac Model A
I am buying a 1950 Oliver HG 68. Do you have any words of wisdom or things to look for?
Did you buy it?
The condition of the undercarriage is the #1 priority. The engine is easy to rebuild; the tracks are not.
@@tractortracking I just got my 1947 Oliver hg for a steelllll turns right over and tracks have little wear with 3 point tool bar
I could have used that when I was running my sprinkler lines.
How’s the heat work??
Thank you, I have an AG-6H it needs restoring.
Would love to see it.
A petrol powered A series.Very rare in Australia. The ones sold here were diesels.
Hi, i had a BD-H with a 4 cyl. Hercules Diesel. Sold it years ago.@@johnkauppi7078
Sweeeet 🤤 I need one of these bad.
Any Idea what a good value is for an E like this similar condition/ Considering looking at one with the head off.. Thanks
This one was $800. Which was probably too high. If the engine is seized, scrap value is all they are worth.
Is this one being repaired? Any more videos of it?
How is the side turn done?
I have a Cletrac ADH but I haven't taken it for a walk yet.Nice to see them running smooth.
Интересно.
Great stuff just love these type of vids
Could you make a video of this without the "music"?
ua-cam.com/video/FGGHf4480j0/v-deo.html
It's to bad someone put a music overlay because otherwise it might be a prttey cool and watchable video.

классный тракторец
These are SO cool! So has engineering really improved in the past 80 years?
Cletrac was ahead of the curve I think.
Where are all the sleigh behind the tractor
Good idea.
Add a small Chevy V-6 with a starter motor and no more cranking by hand
I have a ford flathead 6 that might look the part.
@@tractortracking Oh NO , Not a FROD Engine , That's pronounced Fraud , FROD uses a different kind of iron ore mixture in making their Engine blocks , haven't you noticed that FROD Engines tend to smoke at 50 to 75,000 miles and a Chevy engine can go over 100,000 miles before an overhaul , FROD is about production and quantity , Not quality , FROD has boosted best built best selling trucks from 1975 to 2015 , 42,000,000 trucks to be exact , So just where are these 42 million best built Trucks at ? You can see most of them at your local Car Crusher , Because you don't see them on the road , but it's your machine and you do what you think is best , I think it is Cool and would be a blast to operate
great donkey
It's a trip isn't it? Tractors were supposed to replace two or three mules or draft horses, and make life easier for the farmer. But such power led to farming more and more acres and soon farmers were working as hard and long as they had before mechanization. Then came the mega machines and put the small farmer out of work for the most part. At what point did the mega machines take over though?
It seems that the value of the land reached a higher level then the farmer could make through farming. He could either sell to a housing development or sell to a big company that owned thousands of acres. You had to either go big or go home, and many couldn't afford the larger machines. When this happened? Not sure. Maybe just slowly over time. Just an opinion.
Much better without the annoying music. BTW, it's interesting how the hand crank works. I had assumed it would be somewhat dangerous once started.
The pulley has tangs at an angle that force the crank to spin out, after the engine rpm gets high enough.
@@tractortracking I have a friend who is 78 and has an old crank start bull dozer. He can't turn the crank anymore and asked me to do it one time, but warned me against kickback. That's all he said. I'm 61 and didn't think I'd be able to deal with it so passed on trying to start it. But seeing you start this machine makes me wonder if all crank start machines worked the same?
I wouldn't mind one . !
I want to get one of the narrow ones now. Like a 42.
