- I had to solder up one of my clusters and I figured it would be helpful to record it for yall. I think theres a few other videos out there too that probably show it better than me but hopefully it helps someone!
Great Video!
@jaredlong7175 thank ya!
Thanks for the video!!
@@briandjordjevic9969 no problem!
Perfect - thanks for the time man👍🏻
Mine starts acting up, more likely after a longer drive - needles go up once and some lights show up for 2 seconds...curious what goes wrong in there.
@@Minivan_Man my first guess would be the same failure, albeit currently less severe in your case.
A good soldering iron goes a long way! I got rid of those cheap toys and bought a good 100w one years ago and its so much nicer!
@@thestuffz I bet!
Lindo painel..
@@Miniaturalendaria thanks!
You know the cluster wouldn't let the vehicle, is that because when you disconnected the cluster, the vehicle did start?
@mostlymoparih5682 I'm pretty sure they'll run without the cluster at all. I had one plugged in that wouldn't let it start... which indicates something was grounded that wasn't. But I didn't do that much testing on it beside pulling it back out.
Why not just get the similar cluster out of a salvaged van that is working just fine. That's a lot to do at least for me. Informative video though.
@harrymiller8538 half the vans in the salvage yard have the same issue lol. Known evil vs unknown evil. I've done both.
@@MNMoparMinivan , Good that you know how to do the repairs on your van to save the cost of having someone else to do it. Just your time & labor.
@@harrymiller8538 exactly!
