Hey Jamel, since you loved Nightwish may I recommend that you check out their earlier music with the singer Tarja Turunen. I believe she is a classically trained opera singer, songs to look out for are Wish I Had an Angel, Nemo, and a cover version of Phantom of the Opera 👍
The "Nightwish rabbit hole" is a deep one. They always seem to love what they are doing, and they don't ever just "phone it in". Their live performances are epic, because of their interaction with the crowds. Nightwish really puts on a show. Thank you for reacting to Nightwish. More please. haha.
This song, as well as others, have a direct tie in with one of their greatest works, "The Greatest Show on Earth". It might be a good thing to listen to it, if you have not already done so. Nightwish tells stories, many stories. The more experience you have with Nightwish, the better you will have an understanding of their mission. There are no accidents with Nightwish, there is only intent. Nightwish, is very much a thinking persons band. Floor is impressive many, many ways.
Endless forms is about Evolution. The named species (the shrew that servived is a reference to the rodent that managed to get through the extinction event that killed the dinosaurs; Tiktaalik was the transitional species that made the first steps on land). Even the title is a quote from the Origions of Species by Darwin, read at the first by Dr. Richard Dawkins.
Nightwish is so special. A lot of metal bands have sad or angry song subjects. Most Nightwish songs are a celebration. A celebration of life, science, imagination, poetry and literature.... They're so much more than just a band to me. Glad to see you react to them again. Been a while.
these old nightwish songs have come to the these days songs when nature is very important peoples minds. very good reaction and have awesome day there.
Jamel, just wanted to tell you that you are the best reactor out there. You don't overdo it and over react just for views. You are real and honest. Your reactions are always the best.
Jamal is the first reactor I started watching regularly, and he is really good. I mostly see the opposite side of what you describe: people just sitting there & not reacting at all!
@@devodavis6747 I've seen those as well, but they are at least better than the people who give fake reactions and just act over the top for something they probably don't even are about.
The mechanics in the background.... think "Inside a clock". This song isn't just about nature, its about nature and time. Hence why at the beginning we have Richard Dawkins Quoting Darwin "From so simple a beginning, endless forms most beautiful have been and are being evolved"
Jamal, so happy to see you get back to NW! Great reaction. They always tell a story or teach you more about life. Not many bands especially in this genre I've seen do that. Please keep going with them, especially their live stuff where you see a lot of crowd participation. Floor is empathic and will make you feel what she feels with every song you hear her perform, you will not be disappointed! Stay Safe.
I've been a Nightwish fan since early 00's they have their own movie they wrote and funded/ produced called imaginaerum, the album of the same title is the soundtrack, its actually a great movie if you can find it
JAMEL!!! MEL MEL MEL!!! I'm so freakin' happy you're back on the Nightwish train. Your reaction to "Ghost Love Score (Wacken 2013)" is how I found you and your channel in the first place, and made me an instant subscriber. I love how you appreciate every element of this masterpiece! Another fun lyric video to check out is "Tribal" from their 2020 album "Human:Nature". It's short, but man does it pack a punch! Also, going back a bit, the "Phantom of the Opera" performance from the "End of an Era" live show (Tarja's last show with the band) is incredible. Ah this totally made my day! :D Can't wait to see more. ;)
Richard Dawkins statement in the beginning of this song is also the last statement from "The Greatest Show On Earth" so in essence this is like a continuation of that. It is all about evolution but what impresses me the most are the deep lyrics in this song. A lot of people miss how meaningful the lyrics are as they just get lost in the music which is understandable. I've been a follower of Nightwish since 1997 and these two tracks are right at the the top of my favorites. It would take hours for me to explain everything about the theory behind these songs because the history goes back so far but if you were to look up and investigate the meaning of the lyrics from both of these songs, you would be even more amazed having a full understanding. Richard Dawkins wrote the book "The Greatest Show On Earth" and it's definitely worth reading!
Carla enjoy the journey. I recommend starting with a Wacken 2013 reaction and checking the comments - Gabriel’s posts are about as insightful on how to best journey as can be found. I discovered them two years ago thanks to Alex H’s reactions and could not be more thankful; absolutely no idea how the hell they don’t airplay in America… now my favorite group of all time, over Led Zeppelin, Metallica, The Doors, and Alice In Chains….
We are all riding on the floating pale blue Ark. Earth as it travels though space. Enjoy the ride my friend. We and every living thing are all "Endless Forms most Beautiful"! Loved it! Peace.
Glad to see you reacting to Nightwish again! This is one amazing song...and how we need to appreciate the world we live in. Tuomas is an amazing song writer....he always makes you think...and feel his music! As an artist....it is always my goal to portray how beautiful the earth is to me. It's full of "Endless Forms Most Beautiful!"

One great thing about Nightwish is you don't need to worry about over-analyzing. The lyrics have a lot of depth and doing a lot of analysis is usually rewarding.

As odd as this sounds, I think she’s singing about biological evolution. That sounded like biologist and author Richard Dawkins’s voice at the beginning.
Correct. It is a quote from Darwin: „There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.“
Tuomas (the keyboard player) writes most of his songs to be interpreted in different ways. Either from a secular perspective or a religious one, he has you covered. haha
The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution is a book written by Dawkins and it inspired Tuomas so much he wrote songs about it. That's why there's a Nightwish 'song' called Greatest Show on Earth and that's why you hear Dawkins in this song and The Greatest Show on Earth. He even joined them on stage at a Wembley concert. Another fun fact: There's a list of scientific discoveries named after Nightwish members and songs. The science world seems to be fan!

I'm not sure that I seem much similarity, to be honest. But that could be because I am quite familiar with her singing abilities/styles, and this song is about the easiest thing in the world for her. She has some classical training (so she can sing opera), and can also do death metal growls... and everything in between. Kate Bush does have a nice voice though, I agree.

Tuomas the Composer (playing keyboard) loves to marry beautiful poetry with metal music. Not surprising that a song of the natural beauty of Earth and the way it has evolved is visually paired, in contrast, with a steampunk industrial scene. I don't analyze Nightwish. I just enjoy them.
I like your reactions...but, 143 comments and you haven't responded to one of them. Not even a heart letting us know you are even reading them. But thats cool. Your reactions are good enough.
The whole album was about evolution, check out The Greatest Show On Earth for an epic journey from the Big Bang up to our extinction with another dose of Dawkins..fantastic performance

REACT TO PRINCE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL AND THE WORLD
i bet you can not watch madness one step beyond with out moving
She sounds like a litle Kate Bush
I'm not sure that I seem much similarity, to be honest. But that could be because I am quite familiar with her singing abilities/styles, and this song is about the easiest thing in the world for her. She has some classical training (so she can sing opera), and can also do death metal growls... and everything in between. Kate Bush does have a nice voice though, I agree.
When she's singing quieter there's more than a hint of Kate Bush to me as well, goes away when she belts it up a bit.
@@bradfalusi898 Fair enough!
Ah, more pretentious heavy metal.. great.
