I have found that on tropical cruises, I get really hot and sweaty while off in port, meaning a shower and change of clothes. I loved this video, your taste is very classic and chic, and I'm going to look at my shoes, and rethink things for my upcoming cruise
Wow! Great taste, love all your choices! I’m a retired international flight attendant, married to a pilot, and we’ve traveled the world. I can still learn, and I just love these clothes (and all the accessories!) you’re showing. One issue I’d have with your weekender bag….although it’s fabulous, I’d have a hard time carrying it as opposed to rolling a suitcase. I’ll be following you from now on. Thanks for a great video. 🥰

I absolutely love your choice of wardrobe pieces and outfits. I was so amazed you pulled off such great outfits. When you showed us the individual pieces, I thought the 10-day wardrobe would get mundane and boring. But, oh no, they were all such exciting fresh outfits! I would like to see what rolling suitcase you'd pick for this 10-day trip if you had to go with a rolling suitcase.
I think this is definitely not for me as it is far too fussy and impractical. For my upcoming 8th Caribbean 10 day cruise at the end of February, the list is: 1 or 2 plain dark sleeveless sheath type dress(es) for evening with a bolero sweater, 2 bathing suits with coverup, 4 tank tops, 3 short sleeved t-shirts, 2 lightweight nice tops, 1 black dress trousers and 4 shorts. I also add my rain jacket and track pants for going to breakfast in the morning and if it's raining on a tour. Toss in 1 sandals which can get wet and I can walk in, 1 sandal with a heel for evening and the sneakers I wear on the plane. I travel in black denim with a dark t-shirt and cardigan sweater plus the aforementioned rain jacket and sneakers. I add in one evening bag (it's red mock crocodile and the best thing ever as it goes with everything) and one pashmina plus undies and socks. Done! I use compression packing cubes for everything except the dresses and always cross-pack with my travelling companion so I have a cube of essentials (undies, shorts, t-shirt or tank, socks and a bathing suit) in their bag and one of theirs in mine. I have met a number of people whose luggage got lost and they had to cruise in clothes from the gift shop. I am plus sized so that won't work for me.
Great idea about the shoes first. I don't intend to travel with just a carry on ever but the concept you were trying to demonstrate wasn't about that but about getting the various looks with few pieces which is a good jumping off point for travelling and getting different looks with minimal pieces . You gave Inspiration to use the earrings /shoes/accessories making a huge difference to an outfit dressing it up or down . Since I use a suitcase---I can add my swimwear and workout clothes and extra shorts and of course underwear /socks for runners etc
Have you ever been on a cruise? Usually after an active day, you need to change clothes for dinner. Also, if you want to work out, snorkel, swim, etc. this was not addressed. This capsule looks more like a Spring city outing.
I hope these wash in the sink and dry quickly, otherwise things might begin to smell. Also would strongly suggest that you never wear shorts on a plane. It is a safety and hygiene issue. You will most likely get cold too.
