Hi bro! how can you play horn of the abyss with the HD launcher with the battle music? :O when i upgrade the HD launcher from 5.0 to 5.2 the battle music do not sound )= plz help!
I can never get this launcher to work. It keeps aborting any updates, which then doesn't allow me to play the game. Here is a snippet of the error "The patching process was aborted. TIMEOUT trying to reach online version number". The logs were no help

I really glad that found web page with Heroes 3.5, it's a game from my school times. I have one question: When I installed russification mode it shows me question marks instead of names of the respective chapters in WOG, also the "WOG option" shows as "????? WOG", is it possible to fix somehow.

Im running into an issue when i try to start a Campaign in WoG, the video wont start and i get a black screen with the starting credits and the error (Resourcemanager getsample could not find the "sfx" resource). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the base game and the launcher and WoG. Im running ERA 3.8.9 and launcher 1.02. Anyone else run into this issue ?
it is not recommended to play campaigns in the current version of WoG, they are not yet fully supported

Thank you for making this video. So the first step is obviously to install the GOG version of Heroes 3 Complete. But should this GOG version be installed in the same folder (C:\Games\Heroes 3 Launcher) where you are planning the install this Heroes 3 Launcher?
It's a secret, but you don't need to install Heroes 3, just download Launcher and run its installation

no, ERA 3 Launcher will help you quickly install and run these 3 modifications: ERA 3 with HD mod (WoG)), Horn of the Abyss 1.6 (HotA) and Master of Puppets (MoP).

trying to set up the launcher. why does Norton seem to think its a malicious site? says its associated with a known attack.. not sure about this
Hi Andrew, launcher and page are fine, unfortunately these bloatware antivirus programs like Norton, AVG, Avast falsely label them (mods are written in ASM, which is great for debugging, thus favored by hackers. that AV software doesn't like for obvious reasons. False positives may occur, especially if you use free antivirus (which is always nothing but promotion of its paid version) such as Avast, Norton and AVG. )

Ok I got it figured out. I use the paid Norton but just had to disable firewall and intrusion detection for an hour to download and update everything. Got it running now, thanks!
How to instal polish language?
Is the resolution improved? Is HD?
using the HD modification that is included, I can set the resolution you want.
For some reason when I try to patch It says there are no new patches and that I'm on 0.1 version. And when I try to patch It's just stuck infinitely downloading
sometimes it is blocked by an antivirus (like AVG, Avast), try turn AV off for a while

Hi, try disabling antivirus for a while, it may be blocking it.
niestety nie dziala, po zainstalowaniu nie odpala nic i sie zawiesza
so i ran this tool as shown in the video. but it seemingly made all the menus russian. how in the world do i fix this
found the solution, the homm3 HD settings default to russian atm. you can fix it with the language dropdown menu

it's an official link from the author, the site is clean, I assume you use some free av software like malwarebytes, avg or avast… unfortunately, modifications are often mislabeled in this way

BitDefender and F-Secure find two Trojans in the file.. I have to shred the file.

@@jdr4674 what you got is called a false positive. happens all the time when you are using bullshit thats called free antiviruses. as the author said - thats nothing but a shameless plug of their respective paid versions. id advise ditching these antiviruses altogether and taking care of good internet browsing hygiene.
Hello, I have an issue at the end of the patching game. It is stuck there with speed going from 0kb/s to 153kb/s and back to 0kb/s. Does any1 have solution?

@@heroes3wog yes, having the exact same issue. tried different links for the launcher, tried different install paths, nothing works. close to the end it fluctuates from 153kb/s to 76kb/s to 0kb/s and so on, and it stays there.
Waited for almost 2 hours and nothing changed.
one thing I found that may be helpfull to the author of this is launcher is the following. I disabled my internet while the patching was ongoing and it always gives this exact same string with the same file.
"Download aborted"

1 - set up Heroes 3 Complete GOG version ( 10 minute)
2 - Heroes 3 ERA Launcher ( 30 minure for update)

@@chipxinhbabi hi, first install only. Tum is not included in assembly. All you need is install launcher, install game into emply folder. After install Tum in game folder

And i actually haven't completed all the updates and features in my current launcher version. It can be cause of the several issues, i suppose.
And also launcher allows to launch tools and else 😉
Anyway i also make game updates and if you making review of them, it would be great.

Dreadful on the user end. Utterly horrible. There are many versions, missing dlls. Confusing mod download webpage. No explanation for newbies STEPs. Incredibly difficult to get working. Worship this game and really wanted to try these mods but.... unusable.

Try to install this but uninstall ERA 3 launcher first, everything should work without problems. If not, I will prepare a detailed guide.
