Very beautiful costume! Could you maybe also show a tutorial where you don't use a serger? I am wanting to make my own dancewear but am struggling with how to finish seams on my sewing machine
I know this is an old video buttttttt, i really love this tutorial and i am grateful for all the details you explained and this definitely helps me within my designs i will be making in the future!
Scarlet & Stitch I love your videos. 1st, you’re Canadian and that is awesome. Second, your voice is nice and your instructions are clear and concise. Third, the way you light and edit your videos is pleasant to watch. Finally, your final garments always look professional. 👏 Is this fabric neoprene or something else and where you get it in Canada? 🇨🇦 I am convinced that you are doing well and living your best life. I hope you feel like making another video in the near future. 😜
Thank you so much for this tutorial! You have been very helpful and have thoroughly explained how to put together a dance outfit! Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge! Much appreciated!!
you're too hard on yourself!!!! this looks great & great filming & editing style and I was actually surprised that you dont have more subscribers!!! i'm cosplaying a2 from nier automata and this is making me more confident that i can sew her top
Thank you for making this video, I just bought a Singer Heavy Duty 4452 machine to make my daughter dancewear. I do not know anything about sewing lol, I was hoping to watch videos on you tube and teach myself. Do I need to buy surger to make dancewear like this? Also are you able to make a pattern for a youth medium ?
Love how it turned out! Also every time I watch your videos it makes me want to get a rotary cutter haha! Makes it look so easy to cut out fabric pieces!
Came across this looking for clubwear to make, was hooked from the start by your amazing energy! Love this outfit and would love to ‘sew along’ with you but I can’t see a link to the pattern anywhere! Would you be able to make it available or link to one similar enough to work with this. Heck I wanna make it so bad I’d take measurements to draft my own if you’d be willing to share them. Will definitely be looking at more of your vids after this! Thank you so much xoxo
Great video! I've never used basting spray before, that made lining look so much easier than I am used to! What basting spray do you typically use, is it the same ones for quilting?
Hey I’m about to make my own costume for circus And one thing I can’t quite understand is if you use elastic in the waist bands and if you do when you sew them do you sew it stretched or unstreached. I know I am late to this video I am sorry great video tho x
This is the first of your videos I have seen. Do you have a video on creating your patterns. I have tried to follow a pattern i bought for bottoms but I have nothing for the top and I love this finished design 🙂
What is the specific material we need? Is it just Lycra or does it have to be 20% elastane etc? And I assume it needs to be 4 way stretch? Do you have any online stores you recommend to get it from? I can only find plain spandex in actual stores but I'm trying to find patterned. Also, can we download that pattern you're using anywhere? Great video!
I am buying my first serger. What setting do you use for when you serge along the side seams of the bottoms? I know all machines are different but is there a length/size setting you use. LOVVVEEE your videos by the way, very inspiring.
That's exciting! My stitch length is usually about 3, but your tensions for your loopers and l/r needle will completey depend on the kind of fabric you are serging. Same goes for the differential feed :)
Nice pattern weights....I thought I was the only one who used whatever thing I could get my hands on. Sometimes I just grab a fistful of loose change from our coin jar.
Hahah I knew someone would call me out on that one day, I just can't seem to bring myself to buy actual pattern weights. Loose change is such a good idea!
so talented. just one pearl of wisdom ( i think anyway): i think your bands would look more “finished” if they were sewn together with out the fold & then refolded to hide the seam.
I hope you make more videos. This one was super useful. I’ve always loved wwe women’s outfits. They’re all so fun and different
Greeting how do you create your patterns do you have a DIY video on that
THANK YOU 😭 This is the most helpful video I have ever seen for sewing/hemming/cutting patterns with stretchy fabric 🙏🏻

Thank you! I definitely can, I love that idea 😊

The lining cutting part is genius! I would definitely like more top pattern videos. I have the bottoms worked out but I’m struggling with the top 🙂
I feel like tops are the thing most people struggle with, so that's good to know :) I'll think about what kind of 'top' related videos I can make!

I got so happy when I got the notification!! Supposed to be going to a family function tomorrow but now I wanna stay home and make this. Lol
Love this! The way you cut your lining is genius! What kind of lining do you use? And YES to videos about patterns!
Haha thanks! Basting spray is the absolute best discovery I ever made
Oh my gosh, you made this look so easy! I can't wait to try!!! ❤

This is so easy , my daughter 2nd year in drill team so this makes feel good to start making these customs.

Thank you, and you need to get one! I honestly don't know what I would do without mine haha

Prima Video, danke! Macht mir Mut, endlich selbst einen Bikini zu nähen.

Super!!! I suscribe! Where can I find the pattern?/ How can we design our own pattern??❤
Can you still make this if you only have a sewing machine?
Thank you for show us this video
Can’t wait to see your next project
Thank you again
Happy new year 🥳
Do you have the pattern for this? Xx
Thank you! Your tutorials have helped me tremendously to understand the whole sewing process! :)
Where did you get the pattern for the briefs?
I’m struggling on what is a good lining to use. Can you tell me what kind of lining your using?
Please, share the pattern and thanks for the video!
Is the spray for a particular reason? Thanks.
When you add the elastic for the leg hole and top, do you cut the elastic to the same size as the hole or do you use the 80% rule and stretch elastic?
What is the specific material we need? Is it just Lycra or does it have to be 20% elastane etc? And I assume it needs to be 4 way stretch?
Do you have any online stores you recommend to get it from? I can only find plain spandex in actual stores but I'm trying to find patterned.

Great video!
what is the spray you are using to fix both fabrics?
Do you sell patterns if so how much please
What kind of glue do You use for fabrics?
awesome! Do you not stretch the elastic at all?
I do stretch it slightly but not by much, I don't find it necessary.
Do you need to wash to remove the basting spray afterwards?
Where did you get the pattern from, or what pattern did you use please?
Where did you get this fabric from?

What type of material do you recommend for lining?
Love your video, do you sale your patterns?
Thank you! No unfortunately not.
How can I get a pattern for the bottoms?
What kind of spray is that?
Can we get a pattern for this custom🥺👉🏽👈🏽
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Thank you 🙏🏾
this is amazing would love more video
Hi! What serger are you using?
Where can I find the patterns for this please?
this is so gooooood!!!!
😊💕
Would have loved to have followed along but there’s no info on where to get the pattern?
As a beginner I’d love some tutorials on how to draft a pattern! The video is great - just jealous I couldn’t make it 💖🤣
so talented. just one pearl of wisdom ( i think anyway): i think your bands would look more “finished” if they were sewn together with out the fold & then refolded to hide the seam.
Thanks so much and agreed! I've started using that technique on all my bands.
What type of adhesive are you using? I tried sparying my lining/spandes and gunked up on me.
I either use 505 temporary adhesive or spray n bond basting adhesive :)
When you thread the neckband through the butterfly clip and it bunches together, that's how I know I have OCD.
How many yards did you use
Onde vc comprar este tecido?
Do you have this pattern for sale? 🤞
Any chance we can get the pattern?
I don't sell my patterns unfortunately, but there are plenty similar patterns available on Etsy 😊
How do you get it to be so stiff??
What machine do you use?
Janome Skyline S7 :)
You should make a video about the pattern, bc I don't know how to make it :(
Hi nice clothes
Thank you so much!!
Sew your waistband together and then fold. Those exposed seams can easily come unraveled.
I had another viewer comment the same thing a while back, have been doing this technique ever since. Awesome advice, thank you 😊
Can you explain how to do this please?
Why did you stop :( ?
Not enough time to film + sew + edit + work full time, unfortunately!
Where would I find the pattern for this?
