Last season people debated what's more impressive, 70 goals or 100 assists. It would be really funny if mcdavid did both in one season.😂
I think McDavids going to absolutely pop off this year, even more so than the past 2. Also, I could see MacKinnon hitting 150

Positive bold prediction: Calgary and Columbus start the season on either a 13 game win or point streak for the Gaudreau brothers, before going into basement for the rest of the season
columbus picks 31st overall, calgary 13th
I could see Quinn Hughes break the 100 pt seal. He got awful close this past season and won the Norris. With DeBrusk, Heinen and Sprong on the roster now, I could see him get 80+ assists and maybe get 20 goals.
My hot take...Juraj Slafkovsky will finish with 70 point and 30 goals and Dach with 70 points and 25 goals. Hutson will be 8n the league all year and finish with 35 points minimum !

Love the content been watching for so long now. I also have a bold take , I believe that mcMann is better suited for a third line role so my bold take is that nick roberston who is freshly signed will have a 30 goal season in the leafs top 6

Ducks were the most penalized team with worst PK. If they clean it up and be just average that is a huge raise in points.
Their top 6 forwards were more injured then healthy. If they get just little more luck with that and young players keep getting better that will also boost their point total.
I admit i am biased but i expect them to get to 80 points
@@ivantot506They are better than columbus....and probably san jose....but thats it. They werent the only team with injuries. All things equal they just fall short to most every team. Keep hearing zegras trade rumors? Thats not a good sign.

My biggest hot take right now is that Matvei Michkov finishes the season with 40 goals and 80 points. He absolutely slaughtered the KHL as a 19 year old and I think that extra season is going to be enough to prepare him for the NHL.
He was sub ppg in a wprse league. He will be good but not that good. 60ish points with 20+ goals is more realistic
@@jred1817 he also played for one of the worst teams in the khl and was their best player by far.

Lafreniere is stuck down the depth chart. It will be pretty hard to be a point-per-game player continuing to play 16 minutes and stuck on PP2 behind the best PP1 in the league.

I think TBL is a playoff team, Guentzel is a great replacement for Stamkos, and likely a better deal.
Also, Sergachev was injured most of the season, o he was not really a factor.
Kucherov, Point, Goentzel, Hagel, Cirelli are all in their prime, McDonagh will help, Hedman is still a stud - and Vasy is a beast. Unless he`s injured i don`t see them fall.
Buffalo, Habs, Sens, RedWings are all upcoming teams, but if one team falls out, it would be FLA or BOS in the Atlantic.
A bold prediction would be FLA doesn`t make the playoffs. They get the mad version of Bob again, some players will have cup hangover, injuries - and somehow Bos, TBL, Leafs and Buffalo / Sens sneak ahead.

If Kirby Dach doesn't snap his femur or lose a limb during the second game of the regular season and get shelved on the IR for the year he should be loading up on points this year.

Devils can have a lot of points but they need to change the fact that their top goal scorer is still Gionta and the three cups they ever had were Brodeur, Brodeur, and Brodeur.
Edit: my bold predicition - It's Ovechkin's year. He wants it before 40yo. He was born in september like me. We strive for perfection. Dad's gone for the season, kiddo.

I would say the Ducks would have the best shot at the playoffs out of the bottom 5 teams from last season. Just because of how many weak teams are in the Western conference vs the Eastern conference where almost every team views themselves with a chance at the playoffs

I think Dallas will be a wild card team this year. They are coming off leading the west last year,yet there blue line has gotten significantly worse imo, I think there rookies will have some growing pains and just sneak into a playoff spot. Obviously they’re still too good of a team to miss playoffs but I think it will be a grind to get in with some new teams in the west on the rise.
Not to be that guy but is going for a bold prediction and then right away explaining why this would make sense and could be a realistic outcome against the very purpose of a BOLD prediction? Like the Laf exemple, kid is on an upward trajectory, former 1st overall, plays with Panarin, etc. It does make sense that the guy would at least be a ppg player. It's not a bold prediction at all. If you go on and predict a 100 pts season or that he'll lead the Rangers in points, now THAT'S a bold prediction.
Just my opinion bit something to consider for that type of videos

MN cap space for next season is almost gone. Faber going from 900k to 8.5 mill. Plus kaprizov and rossi will get new contracts. Dosnt leave much room
They more than likely will trade some of their aging player like Zuc or Foligno if they feel that their prospects can fill those roles, plus Fleury is off the books so they can bring up any of their goaltending prospects. Still an awkward spot to be in with about $30m of their cap taken up by defensemen.
