Berryessa is not North San Jose, despite its Geographical location to the North. It's a common misconception, Berryessa is East San Jose, due to being nestled in the Eastern foothills.
This took away from indigenous citizens, the Flea Market, a cultural hub of the Bay area. THIS VIDEO is trying to convince us that this is good for all to come here. THIS ONLY takes away the oppty that were here for the low-income. Leave it be.
I live in Berryessa off Piedmont Rd. near the foothills. My neighbor, two houses up from me sold her house in April. She listed it for $1.6 million and it sold $2.1 million. I asked her realtor why it sold for so much. She said what Theresa said in this video. It’s a combination of the schools and proximity to tech, primarily NVIDIA which is about a 10 minute drive from my street.
AND it takes 1 hour on the surface streets during Commute to get from the West SJ to home in The Eastside 😢 already. Fix East San Jose infrastructure BEFORE & IF you'll build new homes.
yes true, infrastructure needs to grow. The mountains on the sides of the valley limit how much building that can be done and therefore higher density building is becoming more norm
It’s interesting cause I walk my dog all over this area. We can only identify maybe 4 or 5 homeless incidents in the area. And they do not stay long. On the other side of 680 it increases but nothing like around the Los Gatos creek area.
some spots rated well today...7 and 8s - www.greatschools.org/california/san-jose/berryessa-union-elementary-school-district/schools/?gradeLevels%5B%5D=e
